If you want to see the paradise on the island, take this tour. Our guide Bruno was very friendly and knowledgeable. He covered all the waterfalls and gardens on this trip gave enough time to enjoy. Lunch buffet in a local restaurant was also very good. Pick up and drop off from our hotel made was very convenient. Strongly recommended!

We had a great afternoon with Tomas and Alberto! They made the experience fun and enjoyable. We were provided with all the gear we needed. Just show up and meet the company in the parking lot. All you need is a bathing suit. You can leave your shoes/clothing in their van for the duration of the experience. This was a lot of fun and great for the kids (ours were ages 8 and 11). Highly recommend giving this tour a try. It was great!

This trip was truly fantastic. AMAZING places to see with just the right amount of time given to each place. I really appreciated 1.5 hours in Terra Nostra so it was enough time to speed walk the park and have a 15 min dip in the hot springs. Dinner after was fab! Ok, the food isn't tasty but it was a fabulous experience and portions were enormous. My tour guide Andre is the best guide I've ever had! He really made the trip so special, I will never forget it. A group size of 8 is perfect. I can't fault this fabulous trip at all.

Raphael was a great tour guide - very friendly and informative. We learned some history about the area as well as the local food and drinks. He was also a good source of information about things to do on the rest of our trip. The pace of the tour was good. We were able to sample many types of food, including breakfast, tea, fruit, a delicious lunch, and dessert. I highly recommend! My family (husband, 18 yr old son, 21 yr old daughter) and I all enjoyed ourselves.

Such a great experience and tour. First, it was a full 4 hour tour. No corners cut. We traveled paved roads, dirt roads and paths allowing us to see many aspects of the west side of Sao Miguel. We briefly stopped for snacks and restroom in a lovely town. . Our guide, friendly and gregarious, made sure we were safe and comfortable; he also offered helpful commentary/insight at various stops throughout the trip. He always took us to "just the right spot" at each stop, allowing for great vistas and outlooks. He took great pics of our family, for which we are grateful. Our "buggy" was clean and in great working order. If (when?!) we return to Sao Miguel, we will definitely do this tour again with this company! Super fun. Recommend highly. Tips: bring face protection (we wore bandanas / buffs) and sunglasses (or more) for eyes. Sometimes, dust gets kicked up if traversing dry roads. Also, wear / bring layers - can get a bit colder in some spots as cross island microclimates.

I traveled to Sao Miguel with my husband and 3 kids. We wanted to see as much of the island as we could and knew that traveling with a local guide would be the best way to learn about the island. We booked two days so we could see different areas with the island and we were with Delfin for both of those days. He was such an informative guide telling us about the island, the people, the cows!, and the volcanic formation of the island. My husband was specifically interested in seeing the Priolo while we were there. Delfin made no promises that we would get to see it however we saw 15-20! Thanks to Delfin for knowing the territories to go to. We learned so much and had a great time thanks to Delfin and his patience with our kids as well!

The buggy ride was really fun and we ended up seeing several amazing view points even though we couldn’t see the blue and green lakes from the viewpoints as there was too much fog. We did get to ride around them on a trail and it was beautiful. The guide was really good and patient with the group. It was an amazing experience.

A great way to see the island without having to rent a car (you would be fine driving around town, but getting to some of the highlight spots in Sete Cidades, for example, are easy to miss or require a half day hike). We had João and Eric for the two days and they were both very friendly and knowledgeable, taking us to many sightseeing/photo ops and local places over the two days. You do travel in a 8 or 10 passenger van though, which allows you to get to some of the harder to navigate spots, but I would recommend motion sickness meds (if you’re like me and haven’t sat in the back of a van in a while) and layers, as the weather changes rapidly. Can’t recommend this tour enough, though, and the lunch option is well worth it to get a real taste of the local cuisine.
