Don't miss this tour!!

We would heartily recommend this tour. Tiago was a marvelous wealth of information as his family has lived here for generations. His warm and gentle nature kept it open to ask many questions. The scenery was gorgeous and Tiago got us to the best viewing spots. And the lunch at his family's restaurant was fabulous. We had a comfortable car, beautiful weather and a delightful day.

Perfect morning seeing Cete Cidades!

Terrific morning with Nuno! We all had a great time. We were supplied with wonderful e-bikes and helmets. And Nuno made sure they were adjusted to fit each of us and that we were comfortable with our bikes before heading off. Having been on a tour of the area 7 years ago we were familiar with what we were seeing. But we rode at a leisurely pace and stopped for beautiful photo ops along the way. The meeting place was easy to find and Nuno even called a taxi to meet us at the original meeting spot for our return to Ponta Delgada. As a cruise ship excursion, we had plenty of time afterward to walk around and eat lunch in Ponta Delgada before our all aboard time.

Fun, informative way to see the city

What a fun, easy way to see the city! Tomas was a knowledgeable, kind guide that took us to interesting highlights of the historic district and the surrounding area. We could stop and get out to enter churches and take photos. Our guide also provided information at the pineapple plantation where we had time to walk through the greenhouses, get a snack, and browse the shop. We covered more area than would have been easy on foot. I highly recommend this tour!

Great half day tour of the west end of the island

Great overall tour of the west end of the island. Felipe was an excellent guide. Was easy to find him and communication was great. He took us in his 4x4 truck around the rim of the crater for some awesome views. The dirt road was very rough in places and not suited if you have back issues. We then drove to a village and to Sete Cidades where we stopped for a restroom break and snacks if we wanted to purchase. Continued the drive around the lake and across the bridge and stopped at a few more viewpoints on our way back to town. He offered to drop us off back at the ship or in town if we liked. Would recommend, the only thing missing was the bright sunny skies that would have given us the blue and green colors of the lakes.

Our tour with Henry was fantastic. He curated our stops based off our wishlist, and suggested alternatives as some of the viewpoints were not visible due to weather. Despite the weather, Henry was fantastic and had no shortage of facts about the history of the island, answering all our questions and educating us on the way. I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out with whatever timetable you have- Henry was accommodating and would be fantastic for anything from a half-day to a multi-day tour.

We booked 2 days with T4W and was fortunate to have Miguel as our driver / guide. He went out of his way to accommodate on our request which included stopping at a small town of my great-grandfather’s birth. We saw and experienced so many sights that would not have been possible with a standard your bus/van. Great company and better employees. I highly recommend.

Great private tour!

This is a private tour and well worth the money. It was much easier to see the various sites around the island than with a larger group. Plus we could provide input on what we wanted to see. Outstanding tour in Ponta Delgada!

We had an amazing day thanks to our tour guide Rita! The weather was foggy & rainy but she tried her best to keep returning to the best views for pictures. We then had an amazing lunch of octopus , limpets & wine & she joined us at our request. Her love of the island is obvious & we learned so much about the Azores. Carlos is the best

My partner and I had an amazing private tour with Carlos, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He has such a deep knowledge of history and shared it in a way that was both engaging and fun — we learned so much without ever feeling overwhelmed. Carlos was also incredibly patient and made us feel completely safe the entire time. On top of that, he turned out to be a fantastic photographer, capturing some of our favorite memories from the trip.
