We pick up at any location on Ponta Delgada (including Cruise Ships and Airport), Lagoa, Ribeira Grande, Capelas areas. Other locations are subject to request, you might need to meet us at a meeting point, or pay an extra fee. Pick-up time: 9:30 AM (if you need a different pick up time please advise) Please note we drive a 5 seat vehicles SUV type, we can take up to 4 participants per vehicle if it suits your group.

My partner and I had an amazing private tour with Carlos, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He has such a deep knowledge of history and shared it in a way that was both engaging and fun — we learned so much without ever feeling overwhelmed. Carlos was also incredibly patient and made us feel completely safe the entire time. On top of that, he turned out to be a fantastic photographer, capturing some of our favorite memories from the trip. He was funny, kind, and truly went above and beyond — the best tour guide we’ve ever had!

Carlos was great, it was like he had an encyclopedia in his head regarding the attractions on Sao Miguel and the history of Portugal. He had a great personality, perfect English and made sure we saw everything we wanted to see without rushing us through anything. We would 100% recommend this tour.

We did a full circle tour of the island with Carlos, and it was absolutely amazing! He picked us up promptly from the airport we were impressed by his deep knowledge and passion for the island. Carlos knows the history, the hidden gems, and the best spots for breathtaking views.He was incredibly engaging throughout the tour not just with the adults, but with the kids too! They loved him, and he kept them involved and entertained the whole time. If you're short on time and want to make the most of your visit, Carlos is the person. We HIGHLY recommend him! Carlos was friendly and great with our 2 and 5 year old girls. Car seats were ready to go for them and he even buckled them in for us which helped us get settled quickly as we had such a short time on the island during a cruise port stop. Carlos’s was knowledgeable and gave us historical and current affairs information.
We stopped at a view point with a chapen on the hill and our girls loved seeing the cats who live there. Carlos came prepared with cat food for them to feed the cats! He was flexible and allowed our kids to be kids. We also enjoyed learning about his life and his kids, as well.
We appreciated the flexibility of picking and choosing what to see and do and would definitely book with Carlos again!

A truly personalized full day tour of the island, with breathtaking views and fascinating historical insight that truly blew us away. On top of it all, my fiancee and I are expecting our first child on July, and it's not an exaggeration to say that every comfort and consideration was made available to her every step of the way. We booked this as a couple to experience the delights of the island in our our way and our expert guide Carlos did not disappoint.
He arrived on time, was very happy, chatty, friendly and informative - he truly did a fantastic job!
We experienced the key attractions including Furnas and Sète Cidades which he filled with incredible tales and facts along the way. We also got to stop and enjoy a tea factory and taste the local produce too.
Carlos let us shape the tour the way we wanted and added his favourite locations too.
A great way to see the island and I definitely recommend doing so for any new visitors to Sao Miguel.

Ganz ganz herzlichen Dank Carlos, es war für meinen Mann und mich ein perfekter Tag, um einen großen Teil der wunderschönen Insel mit den verschiedenen Hotspots zu sehen! Wir haben uns ausserordentlich gut betreut gefühlt und unseren Wunsch, möglichst viel zu sehen und zu erfahren, haben Sie rundum erfüllt. Ob Furnas mit anschliessendem Mittagessen "Cozido das Furnas", Sete Cidades und vieles mehr, wir haben auf der Tour grossartige Einblicke erhalten und bedanken uns hiermit nochmals ganz herzlich!!!
