Normandy Tour Was Amazing

Booking a smaller more personal tour is the way to go! The tour company provided detailed information and a pick-up location. Our tour guide Chris was amazing. He was passionate about the World War II era. He provided amazing facts and information about Paris and the surrounding areas as we made our way to Utah and Omaha beaches. He kept us engaged with history about local churches and homes before and after the war. He was considerate, friendly, and happy to be our tour guide. He also did a fabulous job avoiding the big bus tours every step of the way. We missed all of them at every stop. He organized it perfectly allowing us to walk on the beach and look at the memorials and plaques while the tide was out. There is only a limited amount of time during the day when possible. Our tour also included the cemetery, museum, bunkers, and a grape juice cider tasting. The local merchants were very lovely and kind. It is very long tour but it is worth every minute! Thank you Chris!

This was day trip from London, so we did the 8 hour tour. Brendan our guide driver was excellent and extremely informative. He picked us up from the train station right as scheduled and dropped us off with plenty of time to spare for our return train to London. We saw parts of Paris we would not have seen otherwise even if we had a full week to explore Paris. Brendan pointed out all of the viewing locations for the Eiffel Tower. We definitely recommend this tour for however long you wish or need.

Nickolas Knows Normandy

This is a great tribute trip visiting the iconic beaches of Normandy and the memorials that commemorate the great invasion that began the end of the European Theater of World War II. Nickolas the guide is very knowledgeable about the warfare that went on there, and also regarding the local life of the French living in the area. Seeing these areas was very meaningful, and had me reminiscing not only of the many sacrifices made there by brave soldiers, but also about my own ancestors who took part in the War.

Fantastic tour for all ages

This was the best way possible to tour the outside of the palace of Versailles. A short portion of the bike tour is spent in city on the way to/from the palace which was really fun as we got to see a glimpse of the city. The walk through the market and options for lunch provided by Aaron our guide were spot on. Aaron was amazing, as was our group and everything ran on time.

We, of course thoroughly enjoyed the views from the Eiffel Tower. But it was disappointing that the tour guide who met us did not share a single nugget of information about the construction, a little back story or any interesting facts. Her job was to merely walk with us from the meeting point to the elevator of the tower and ensure that we got on. From then we were on our own. If you want to go to the summit and/ or go on a cruise you need to make sure to click those options. This tour, one is paying to skip some of the long lines especially worthwhile during the busy seasons.

My kids, ages 19 and 17,...

My kids, ages 19 and 17, said this was one of the best tours they've taken (and they've done tours in Italy, England, Greece, and Japan!) Oscar did a great job in educating us how food is so intertwined in the history, art, and politics of France. I loved the story of how the toasting of glasses originated from the fear of being poisoned.

Toby was a great group...

Toby was a great group leader. He really knows a lot about French History. It was so fun to be on a bike in the city. I felt safe at all times. The only thing I would say is that our stops at the sites were a little long. I thought we were going to see the Arc d Triump up close and the famous Champs elise but we only saw from the distance. That was the only disappointing thing. Otherwise I'd highly recommend Toby.

Excellent knowledgeable...

Excellent knowledgeable guide. Before the trip I was very worried about the meeting place as I had read that other people missed their tour and there was no recourse. We arrived early so no problem but I was worried until we met up with the group. In other places we have visited in the world, the tours are designated a particular spot for meeting up with their guests.
