Hristo was extremely knowledgeable and informative about the Marais district. He was able to cover the varied aspects of the district during the tour and made our visit much more meaningful.

We had a great tour with Elli! We walked the Marais area as Elli pointed out highlights and iconic places, buildings, and statues. She pointed out great places to eat and drink as well as educate us about the cultural make up and history of the area. My wife is a photographer. Elli knew this because of a questionnaire we filled out before we arrived in Paris. Elli also contacted us weeks before our arrival to find out what we wanted to do and see on this tour. She took us to and pointed out places that would be great to photograph and patiently waited until we finished taking photos.
Elli is very knowledgeable and educated but very easy to talk to and communicate with .
Because of Elli we absolutely got the maximum value from this tour!

St. Paul, the old jewish area, LGBQT, shopping, falafel, The Place des Vosges, the history and architecture; a vibrant and visually beautiful place to spend a Sunday afternoon. This private, well priced 3 hour tour with Hristo was a highlight of my very quick trip to Paris. Communication with Hristo was seamless, easy, and relaxing. As a solo female traveler I highly recommend Hristo and this tour. FYI-Some shops are closed on Sundays.

The tour started off a little bumpy because the tour operator system didn’t notify my guide she had a tour. However, despite that, Sabrina was brilliant! She came late due to the mix up but she spent a great deal of time with me and showed me so many wonderful things. We saw the Picasso museum, the history of Paris museum, she pointed out a lot of relevant historical and architectural features along the way. She explained a lot about the royalty of France and which kings did what to improve the city. It was amazing. I give Sabrina a lot of credit for coming last minute and sharing her city with me. I highly recommend the tour.

Our group really looked forward to our tour of the Marais District in Paris, but found that our tour guide was not prepared.
At the request of your company, we sent in requests of what we were interested in seeing on our tour, yet our guide had no knowledge of our comments and had no plan herself.
She was soft spoken, so anyone who was not right beside her, had no idea what she was saying. We asked multiple times for her to speak louder and while she always agreed to, she never did.
She was very kind and sweet, but our tour was not at all what we expected and we decided to end it early. It was definitely not worth the money that we had spent.
The following day, we toured the Montmartre area with a guide from another company. She had the list of ideas that we had submitted with her, made sure we saw everything on that last, and much more. She was filled with knowledge of the area and explained the history of the area to us as we walked along. That was a successful tour.

Our tour guide Hugo did not show up - we stood in the rain at the meet up location for 15 min - sending requests via what’s App, texting and emailing. Finally called the customer service number. They were helpful, confirmed the meet up locations and tried to contact the guide to no avail. The tour was refunded.

Very disappointed. Cancelled couple hours before. Asked if we could at least get the locations awe would be stopping at (understand no information just the stops) Did not get response until I er 24 hours later and the answer was no. Tried to find stops we thought might be interesting but….. we just wanted ideas of plan es to visit in LaMarais

The guide was a friendly young man with experience in architecture and archaeology. About the Marais, not so much. We were interested in the Jewish community but the guide was unable to identify any synagogues and took us to a park to see a memorial to Ann Frank — but couldn’t find it. After 2-1/2 hours we had enough. An expensive lesson with very little value.

Whilst our hosts know areas extremely well from a local's point of view, they do not necessarily know everything related to highly specific interests like the one's you mention. The experience is not marketed as such and should not really be assessed on this basis. Like you said, your host knows a lot about architecture, archaeology and history and has received many excellent reviews. He did what he could to help you. During the 3 hours of the tour, we found out places and got information about the city and Marais which we might have known reading a lot. We really tasted the vibe of Marais and how the district moved on during the centuries.

Our guide Jaime said the best way to get to know a city was to “get lost in it” and we lost ourselves in Le Marais in the best way. We were picked up at our hotel and took the Metro to the area and started our walk. We saw the new and the very old and Jaime was able to tell us about the history. His background in archeology added interesting background to the information. We stopped for a quick coffee and a delicious pastry at the place Jaime recommended. We finished in the Place des Vosges which was lovely.

Toured the Marais with Vanessa, who was knowledgeable, funny and easy to hang out with! It was like visiting the Marais with an old friend. Highly recommend. I learned about secret gems of the neighborhood that I would only learn about from a local.

The minute we met Myriam we knew we had someone very special to lead us through Le Marais. She has such a kind and beautiful soul and a lovely personality. It was obvious how much she thoroughly enjoyed sharing her knowledge of the area with us. She provided us with so much fascinating history and also many interesting and funny anecdotes.
