What are people saying about Normandy

Informative and emotional
Our guide, Thierry, was very knowledgeable. He added a lot to the tour with his detailed stories about some of the men who fought in these battles, and the tactics and strategies of the combatants and their commanders. He used pictures and maps of the action in his presentation. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be ready for a few close quarters and steps in the bunkers. Also be ready to stand as your tour guide details what happened in these areas in 1944. Come with your questions. Our guide time the ending to be at the EOD taps and flag lowering.

History
Great tour with Thierry… first half was Normandy beaches and cemetery, second half followed “easy” company to many sites which overlord has exclusive access only. T is very knowledgeable and thorough and a great guide (and driver). Incredible to see and be at places with history. He has old photos of the troops at the exact spots you visit. Timely pickup and drop off (8:20-5:20).

Amazing day trip to St.Michel
We got the great luck of having Lucas as our tour guide. He (& the weather) were great! He was informative, funny, had an easy to hear voice and spoke English very well. Mont St Michel passed all expectations- it was a great tour for an amazing location!

The tour was wonderful, very complete, and the guide also made the effort to speak to us in Spanish, which we greatly appreciated. She also took us to the German cemetery, which was not originally included in the itinerary, because we were very interested in seeing it. She was delightful at all times, especially when she kindly offered to take family photos for us. We had a wonderful day — a totally recommendable experience.

A Masterpiece of a Tour!
Matt went above and beyond all of our expectations in every way. His historical and military knowledge of D-Day is absolutely incredible, the result of interviews with first-hand witnesses - including Normandy locals and D-Day veterans - and rigorous academic study. It isn't all facts and figures, though. Matt's tour brings a very Human perspective of D-Day through masterful storytelling giving an immersive experience we've never seen anywhere else. The tour is clearly years in the making, and we are so proud that Matt continues his pursuit to keep our shared History of defending Freedom alive.

Tour - Juno Beach
Our tour guide, Remy, was exceptional. His historical knowledge was very detailed and he combined the factual history with many interesting and poignant stories. The tour was also well paced, and the nine hours flew by. I would recommend this tour and we will be back to take others. This was a moving and enjoyable experience all round.

Amazing tour of Normandy sites!
Our day with Boy touring Normandy was incredible. His knowledge of WWII events is so in depth and meaningful. Boy provided us with a very memorable and emotional day of understanding what happened in Normandy and all of France during the war. Highly, highly recommend hiring Boy while in Normandy.

Trip to Normandy is Very Worthwhile!
We rented a car in Paris and drove to Bayeaux, where our tour group met. It was about a three hour drive, but the highway is modern, mostly flat and straight.
In Bayeaux, our guide, Philippe, drove our small group to Sword Beach (British sector) and to Omaha Beach (American sector). Philippe spoke good English, but his French accent gave his presentation an air of authenticity. Philippe was very knowledgeable about the events leading up to and on June 6, 1944. But he went beyond that, and as we visited the American cemetery atop the cliffs, he shared many stories that reflected the human side of the German, American and French elements that came together during those days. As a retired History teacher, I had high expectations for this tour, and those expectations were well met. Highly recommend!

A Great Stop
Many people go to Paris at this stop, but we’ve been there many times and preferred to stay more local. This tour met all of our needs, showing off some beautiful local towns. Our guide, Bastien, was easy to understand, friendly, and overall very helpful. While these two towns were mostly to be explored on our own, Bastien gave good advice about what we could do in our (unfortunately) limited time. Overall, we were very happy to have taken this tour.

Excellent value and informative tour. Our guide Macon was very knowledgeable. Further, she adapted the tour in real time to adjust for crowd conditions. By doing so, we spend more time at less crowded and informative spaces.
I am happy to recommend this tour and guide to anyone! Thank you!

My husband and I had a great experience with this day long Normandy Beaches . The meet up with our tour guide was easy. Naomi was friendly and full of information. She gave full , interesting information to paint the picture of the planning and execution of D-Day.
The lunch/museum stop could have been longer - it was hard to see both the museum and have a meal as well.
We enjoyed the day- it is a lot of information to take in but well worth the time. Thank you for a great tour Naomi.

A must tour in Normandy
We took the 1/2 day tour to Omaha beach, the American WW II cemetery and Pointe du Huc . Louis Boubat was our tour guide and an exceptional guide. He was very knowledgeable of the history , got our group engaged , spoke many languages and English very well. He loves what he does and it just showed throughout the day. He never rushed us and was also very respectful of our groups' needs. Weeks later my husband is still raving about this being the best tour he ever took. Thank you Louis for a memorable experience! Not seeing something you are looking for?
World War II history, UNESCO-listed monuments, Belle Epoque beach resorts, and medieval cities: Normandy has it all, and you’ll only scratch the surface of what this region offers on Normandy day trips. With just one day, focus your explorations on a particular area or sight, whether visiting France’s most famous island monastery, following the path of Allied soldiers at the D-Day beaches, or hopping between the picturesque coastal towns of the North. Normandy is close enough to Paris to be a day-trip destination, but you’ll be able to see even more if you start from Bayeux or Le Havre.
