Boy is exceptional. If you want a sensitive and caring guide who has all the technical information (dates/numbers/battle fronts) but who grounds it all in personal stories…many, many times…of people he has actually met and talked to (yes - veterans who are in their 90’s) he is your man. The tour is unrushed but complete. He allows you time to absorb what you are seeing and is sensitive to what you are feeling. And there is a lot to feel on this tour. He took us to a great diner for lunch, answered all out questions, and generally was receptive. And something he did that the other tour guides cannot do…took us into some private places (he had the keys!) - we saw the living quarters of where the German officers lived during the occupation including murals on the walls drawn the the German soldiers of life in the barracks. He is a fantastic guide and we felt genuinely blessed to have him.

Our day with Boy touring Normandy was incredible. His knowledge of WWII events is so in depth and meaningful. Boy provided us with a very memorable and emotional day of understanding what happened in Normandy and all of France during the war. Highly, highly recommend hiring Boy while in Normandy.

Boi was one of the best guides we have had anywhere on our travels. His knowledge of World War 2 history and the area was fantastic and he communicated it very well. We just wish we had been able to book another day with him so he could show us even more., but he keeps very busy. Now we know why!

This was an amazing experience. Boy, who was our guide for the day, shared so much knowledge and individual stories and took us to places we would have never seen without him. It was emotional and touching and Boy was the perfect person to lead our journey through D-day history. From start to finish, Boy was absolutely outstanding. He was punctual, making everything stress-free from the very beginning. His friendly personality immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome.
What really stood out was his passion for history you could tell he truly loves sharing stories and bringing the past to life. Every site came alive with detail and perspective that we never would have discovered on our own. His knowledge was unbelievable, and he answered every question with insight and enthusiasm.

This was the most moving experience. Our tour guide, Boy, was exceptionally knowledgeable about D-Day events, timelines, and personal stories of the men who were there. He was interested in any connections or family members we had who served in any capacity. Boy followed the itinerary as listed, but I’m sure if we had requested, he would have spent more or less time at any one of our stops. He chose a great place for lunch, we had plenty of opportunities to use the restrooms, and we never felt rushed. At the end of the day, we made one last stop that should have lasted only a few minutes, but an opportunity arose to hear personal stories about other veterans. Boy graciously allowed us over an hour to hear all this information!! We are so grateful to have spent the day with him and really feel like we made a friend. Thank you Boy!

It was a full day. Boy has an easy lunch spot picked out on the route and will take you there. Boy was also able to make some adaptations to our tour to show us a couple of specific areas of interest. He is respectful, knowledgeable and very kind.

If you want to see the battle venues, this is the tour. Spend a day with Boy at the actual beaches and learn the details of the US side of D-Day, and then take another day to visit the museums in the area. The information he will give you will really enhance your total experience. Highly recommended.

Boy went above and beyond to personalize my tour retracing my father’s footsteps from landing on Omaha Beach through the first couple of months fighting for St. Lo. He is extremely knowledgeable about the US landing and did an immense amount of research prior to my arrival to make this an unbelievable experience for me.

This was a long day, but we covered a lot of history. Boy knows his history and has a real reverence for veterans. He was able to show us a few off the beaten track sights and he had a wealth of knowledge of the area.
His van is very comfortable and there is not a lot of driving in between stops which is nice. He was also able to add an extra stop we requested to see which was a nice touch.
We highly recommend spending the day with Boy on this tour. You will learn a lot and see a lot.

Our host, Boy Eysbroek, is a passionate story teller of all the amazing events of courage, dedication and sometimes luck that happened here 80 years ago. He is a member of The Greatest Generation Foundation that does so much to honor these heroes and includes a renovated house used by veterans when they come to visit. It was a former German command post and still has the original stairs and paintings on some walls done by the German soldiers. The rest of the house is completely renovated for the veterans. Boy’s guidance throughout the area is rich with stories and information we would have never discovered any other way. It was an experience my wife and I will cherish and never forget. If you come to visit, Boy Eysbroek is the man you want to make your day as moving and unforgettable as he did for us.

Boy has accomplished the very difficult task in creating a tour that successfully walks the fine line of respecting the tremendous gravity of the loss of life at Normandy while preventing the day from becoming too overwhelming with moments of levity and inspiring stories of the Allied forces and veterans. It will not be a day my companions or I will forget anytime soon.
Boy was a pleasure to work with leading up to our tour and accommodated the train schedule to and from Paris by condensing an abridged version of a full day tour into a shorter time period. You will not regret booking with Boy!

This tour is fantastic. As a history and WWII enthusiast, I was amazed through the entire day. What's more, my wife and young daughter were equally impressed. Our tour guide, Boy, was phenomenal. He moved the tour along at an appropriate pace while keeping our entire party engaged along the way. Logistically, he made everything seemless and you could tell it was a very well thought out schedule. Boy was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Boy Eysbroek was our private tour guide for a group of 6 from ages 9 to 69. He picked us up at our hotel in Bayeux and then proceeded to take us to the Normandy cemetery and Memorial for WWII showing large maps of all the forces and their mission. Despite the rain it was awe inspiring. On to Omaha beach, Utah beach, lunch, then several towns rich with WWII history. Boy had met dozens of WWII visiting veterans and shared some of their memories as well. Pack a waterproof jacket, umbrella and waterproof shoes/boots if rainy😊

Normandy was the first stop on our trip this summer. We were extremely lucky to have booked a tour that led us to Boy and Neptune Battle Tours. The day we spent with him was a day we will never forget.
The passion that Boy has for the story of Normandy can not be matched. His tour is a full day of walking in the footsteps of brave soldiers. He is a walking book of the history of this area and of the war. There are not enough words to thank him for the experience we received.

Viewing the battle sites brings all of our WWII readings and movies into context. Seeing how well the American Cemetery was designed and constructed and maintained was gratifying and moving. The surprise was the German Cemetery which was done with great respect for the dead without glorifying them and offering a hope for peace.
