A very thorough journey among the sites of the American landings on DDay, as well as the American and German military cemeteries. Francis, our guide, paced the tour very well -as there is so much to cover- giving us very detailed information on each site, as well as a general understanding of the whole operation Overlord. I would definetely recommend this experience.

Luci was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Although it was a day long it covered the salient parts of the battle areas. I would recommend this for families.

Sophie was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Went above and beyond.
My phone ran out of power and toward end of day wanted to get video of lowering of flag with taps at National Cemetery and he videoed it and sent it to me.
Very grateful

Our tour of the Normandy Battlefields (American sites) was excellent!! Our guide, David, was truly exceptional!! This tour was one of the highlights of our trip! We wholeheartedly recommend it!

We enjoyed our tour very much. The smaller group tours allow everyone the opportunity to ask questions and relay what the observe to the whole group. The guide was well versed in the history of the different sites and added details and tidbits of information that he knew would interest the different people in the tour. For those who don't speak French, our guide spoke very good English. I have recommended the experience to friends who are thinking of doing a guided tour in Normandy.

Lots of walking. Well worth the cost. Excellent guide; Emma if you’re lucky!
A heart breaking reminder of what a waste war is; created by few but ending in the senseless loss of thousands and thousands of young lives.

When traveling in a group, you are restricted to their mobility issues. However, the detail to information about the battles and invasion was extremely helpful.

Study on the history of D Day prior to the tour. It adds to the atmosphere of the places visited.
Very interesting.

It was a great trip through Normandy. We saw so many amazing sites, learned a lot of history, climbed in bunkers, walked in cemeteries, walked on the beaches, asked questions, and really enjoyed our time with Wally. We are very happy we chose this adventure, and it was a day well spent.

The tour was very good and I highly recommend it. I think that most of the stops could have been a little shorter so that the airborne museum with the lunch stop could be a bit longer.

Be sure that you verify your tour with rhe guide. It turned out that another tour company ca.e at the same time abd we went with them and no one verified if they had 2 extra people. When we got back to our hotel we were told that we missed our tour. I am sure the other tour company lost money because we never paid them for the 9 hour tour we had.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Dear James,
We delayed our tour by 20 minutes as we looked for you and tried also to contact you several times.
The other company probably didn't notice that they add extra clients and probably didn't check your name before departure.
We are glad you enjoyed your tour anyway.
Best regards
NST team

We had an awesome time. Our guide was fantastic. We had enough time at each location to see and do what we wanted. I would highly recommend this company.

It was a little confusing as to the exact spot to meet the van. Our best guess was correct. Maybe having the van there a few minutes earlier, would help. Caroline was a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. I recommend this tour.

Plan for a long day. It's like drinking from a fire hose, even if you think you know the history. Time well spent!
astrid_b, Nov 2024
The guide began the tour by letting us know it was his last day at work and he certainly acted as if he couldn’t wait to get the day over with. He gave perfunctory explanations at the various sites, then mostly left us to “explore” each site on our own. I listened to other guides near us at the tour sites and they seemed much more engaged than ours. The sites were interesting, the guide was decidedly not. I would only do a private tour next time with someone more motivated.

Our guide, Gaetan, was friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave a great tour. The battlefield tours were well laid out.

Jack was a wealth of information ! He was on time as well as gave us time to explore. Great lunch at 82d museum

Excellent guide spoke fluent English.
Very knowledgable regarding all the sites
Recommended local restaurants
pickup site readily located and walkable from many hotels

We were so excited about the tour around the Normandy sites, but our guide, Jack, literally made the trip experience even more memorable. Jack was personable, extremely knowledgeable, and so very kind and patient with our small group. Although the day was jam packed, with a tight deadline, Jack allowed us the time we needed to digest the wealth of information he provided and the extra moments to pay our respects to the particular sites that were most impactful to our small group.
We are forever changed by this visit to the Normandy region and by being able to honor those our fought and died for freedom.

Seeing Ste-Mere Eglise, Utah, Omaha & Utah beaches with the American Cemetary.
Prison our guide was great!
Wish we had head sets to hear everything he said.

Jeremiah took us to visit Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, the German war cemetery, Sainte-Mere-Eglise (a town liberated by American paratroopers), and the American war cemetery. During the drive, he explained the history of WWII leading up to the D-Day invasion, including the preparations made for the invasion, how the date was selected, what false trails were laid so the Germans weren't prepared for it, and how they engaged the French resistance to help them.
At each location, he described what happened, going into detail on what things went wrong and what went right, and explained how each attack affect the others. Did you know that the Omaha Beach landing was actually going to fail, but then the reinforcement Rangers from the Pointe du Hoc attack showed up and helped them succeed, because their attack hadn't gone to plan and they enacted plan B, which was to reinforce Omaha instead of Pointe du Hoc?
I hadn't known beforehand that the D-Day invasion had lasted nearly two months, with multiple failures and massive casualties before the eventual success. Now I have a good understanding of the complexity of the undertaking, and that's all due to this tour.

I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to visit so many of the sites in just 1 day. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable of each of the locations and was a local to the area. Thank you for an awesome time.

Naomi is a wonderful tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, and she brought along maps, diagrams, and pictures that helped her explain in more detail. It was a wonderful day that we will never forget!
Stefania_M, Aug 2024
The tour was truly unforgettable. We visited many important sites in the American sector and, despite the abundance of sites, we had enough time to stop at each one. Noemi is a brilliant, knowledgeable and very friendly guide.
