What are people saying about Namibia

A local cooking experience not to be missed!
This experience was so fun! Renee was so kind and welcoming and enthusiastic. She not only did a great job instructing us through cooking porridge, spinach, fish, pork knuckles and worms (!), but she was also so informative about Namibian culture and lifestyle. She was a pleasure to chat with and so genuinely interested in getting to know us and our culture better. Highly recommend for a truly local experience in a new restaurant that her and her sister are so proud of (rightfully!)

Fantastic intro to Windhoek and Namibia
I booked the Windhoek city tour on short notice when I found I was free until the afternoon. Kavana Tours were able to get me on the 9am tour with Petreus, who was a wonderful guide.
I wasn’t quite sure how it would go, but it far exceeded my expectations.
I appreciate the tour covered the Katutura Township with just as much attention as the city. This was my first full day in Namibia and in Windhoek, and I was able to learn so much about the history and important sites. And given it was less than four hours, I particularly liked how much I learned about daily life in Windhoek and Katutura.

A great opportunity to get to know Windhoek
Our guide, Julio, has a great knowledge of the history of Namibia which helped to bring the tour alive. For me the highlight was visiting the market and township of Katutura, and sampling some of the food and spices in the market. The nearby Penduka village is a very inspiring project with good quality art and crafts for sale.

We had an unforgettable...
We had an unforgettable time on the Sandwich Harbour dune tour with Victor. He’s very knowledgeable on the area and Namibia generally, and he’s very skilled at safely driving on the sand. Don’t pass up the opportunity to experience a wild ride on the sand dunes.

What a treat. The winter...
What a treat. The winter weather was a bit foggy and hazy, and soon cleared up. We were shown the beauty of Walvis Bay, the dunes. Reynold (apologies if misspelled) is an outstanding driver. 2 of the 3 of us easily get motion sickness and neither had any issues.
The lunch was lekker, delicious. The views are phenomenal and the 4x4 driving is fun and enjoyable. I came home with the best pictures ever. Highly recommend this.

Great Tour. Very informative Guide
This is a not to be missed tour. We were lucky to have only 4 of us plus the tour operator/Driver in the truck. Saw it all: jackals, seals, Oryx, Springbok, Ostrich, top of the sand dunes, salt ponds and beautiful blue sky and sea. Also a very good lunch on the sand dunes.

Cruiseliner Special Swakopmund Historical City Tour 4/6/26
Terrific Tour with a fabulous tour guide named Warren. He was engaging, went to great lengths to ensure we were confortable and answered our relentless questions happily. Thoroughly enjoyed his tour and his company. He is an asset to his tour company.

Don’t miss the experience
Great tour with Wild Space! Pick up at port right on time then off to see flamingos, salt mine and the dunes. The dunes are huge, amazing and driving up, down and around them was awesome. We were able to spot some wildlife along the way. Delicious lunch too. Guide was knowledgeable and helpful.

Super fun & exhilarating! A Must do!
This tour was so much fun. Our driver Jaques was excellent. He talked a lot about the area and was very knowledgeable. We learned so much and got to see flamingos, the salt works and our guide even stopped and chatted with a fisherman and showed us the fish that he had been talking to us about. The 4 x 4 drive on the dunes was so cool. I like the way all the drivers work together to make the tour fun for everyone. The stop on the dunes for a drink and snacks was a bonus. So happy we booked this tour. You won’t be disappointed if you do it.

What an honour it was to...
What an honour it was to spend this time with the San people. I learned so much about this ancient culture, and there was something both spiritually and philosophically stimulating in watching how they work in harmony with their natural environment. What's more, I felt proud that by joining a tour like this, I was doing my little part to help conserve their lineage. Thank you so much to Erastus for translating while being the warmest guide I could ask for. I have travelled far around Africa, and this was one of my all-time highlights.

This was an amazing tour...
This was an amazing tour saw loads of wildlife and the driving up and down the sand dunes was a great experience. Our guide Michael was lovely very friendly and knowledgeable and made the trip extra special even stopping to find a gecko that was buried in the sand. Highly recommended

An easy to book, efficient service.
An easy to book, efficient service. Gideon was waiting at the exit of the airport for us with a clear sign. He took us to the vehicle and set off to our destination promptly. He was very efficient and polite. He offered us water as soon as we were in the vehicle. A smooth ride with smooth tunes got us to our destination in no time at all. Thank you.
