We had an absolutely fantastic experience on this half day trip. I honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. Our guide Deon was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire experience fun and memorable. Driving along the beach at low tide was a thrill and the view from up on the dunes onto Sandwich Harbor was breathtaking. The lunch provided high up on the dunes (with oysters and sparkling wine) is something I will never forget. I have already recommended this trip to several other travellers we have met in Namibia. We absolutely loved it.

Unfortunately I found the tour a little disappointing and above all the price is much too high for a nearly 4 hour tour, 130 Dollars is crazy.

The tour description of the day came nowhere close to the impressive experience we were offered of the Namibia desert and massive dunes and stunning beaches. The views were breath taking and the guides were informative. Even the picnic lunch on top of a mountain of sand was beyond expectations. I'm glad I captured the day with photos.

We had such a fabulous time with John’s Tour. He was so informative about plants, animals, the moving sand dunes etc. We had a blast and a fabulous lunch with champagne in the sand dunes.

Fantastic experience, one of the highlight of the trips. To see beautiful Sandwich Harbor with a fantastic guide that knows the dunes, this is a truly unforgettable experience. If you get the right driver he will show you the more "fun" dunes to drive on.

We had an awesome time driving trough the dunes with a skilled driver, really exciting experience.
On the other hand, we understood that he was going to show how salt is produced in that area, but we came quickly back to Sandwich Harbour.

Our guide and driver was so informative and had excellent driving skills. His passion for his job was tangible and made our experience a 10/10.

This is a MUST for anyone coming here to this area ! It was fantastic in every way , specifically driving up/down the dunes, driving along the beach, seeing jackels and our guide, Nico with the a wonderful lunch was par excellence! I would give this 6 stars if possible !

This is one of the best tours I've ever taken. They picked us up at the cruise port and took us on a 4X4 to the Dunes, stopping to see beautiful flamingos. Our guide was very informative and friendly. On to of the exciting drive up, down, around the dunes (and the beach), there was a delicious lunch with o'dervous, delicious Namibian oysters, and champagne. Great experience. Recommend it.

This tour was terrific! Highly recommend it. The tour company picked us up at the entrance of the Port, on time, in comfortable vehicles. We saw the salt processing plant, thousands of flamingos, springboard, seals and of course the world famous dunes. The tour operator offered a wonderful lunch with fresh oysters as promised. One of the best tours we've taken and one which certainly shows off Namibia's beautiful geography.

The whole tour was absolutely awesome, from driving the dunes, seeing the most memorable views to a wonderful lunch at sandwich harbour.
We saw oryx and a jackal as a bonus.

This is a great company to work with. Our ship was one hour late to the port, but the tour operator accommodated us so we could still make our tour. We are sure glad they did. We had a wonderful morning with Mike, who met us at the dock. He took us by the flamingos and salt flats, stopping anytime we asked for pictures. We had some wild rides on the dunes, but always felt safe with Mike’s expert 4x4 driving. The dunes were prettier and so much higher than we expected. We had an unexpected delicious lunch on the beach. Then more dune riding and back to the ship on time.

Arno was a fabulous guide, host, and driver. One of our favorite excursions ever! The drive through the dunes was exhilarating! The lunch was fabulous. We had a great half day trip. Out dry veg and guide Jonathan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. His driving skills were also excellent. And lunch on the sand dunes was fab!

Excellent tour. There was some minor initial confusion about the meeting point, but we were met at the port gates. We drove in 4x4 vehicles, 3 guests in back seat and 1 in front with the driver/guide; there were 4 vehicles for our group, and several other groups of vehicles doing the same tour. We drove south past the flamingo lagoons (with stop for photos) and salt pans, and along a dry riverbed, and then on to the beach, south to Sandwich Harbour. We drove with crashing waves to one side and desert and increasingly tall dunes to the other. It was beautiful, with ocean and dunes fading into the hazy horizon in either direction (with several stops along the way). We then went into the dunes, for some crazy, fun driving, going down almost 45-degree angle dunes / like a rollercoaster. The group stopped at the top of a very tall dune for lunch, which was delicious. Our guide, Leon, was informative, funny, and a great driver. We highly recommend this tour.

I enjoyed every second of the tour. Our guide Elmar was friendly, full of knowledge, and he delivered the stories with great humour. On top of everything he is a great driver, it is an important skill if you drive through sand dunes :)

The guide (Len) was a darling sweetheart. Phenomenal driver and knowledgeable about the town and parts of nature that were seen. Of course nothing beats seeing the dunes juxtaposition to the ocean. That scenic view can never be experienced enough. What a wonderful natural sight. Scary beautiful.

It was such a thrill to ride the dunes in a 4X4! Our guide Kurt was courteous, informative, and fun! We saw flamingos, oryx, a seal, lizard, and more. Enjoyed a delicious gourmet picnic on top of a Dune. Saw the salt flats and learned quite a bit about Namibia. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour had sites, adventure, food and a fun guide! The dunes were breathtaking. 4x4 ing straight down and across and back up again made your heart start racing. The food, especially the oysters (best I've had) were so delicious. Elmar our guide was knowledgeable, extremely friendly and kept us laughing. Hands down one of the most amazing tours I've done. Highly recommend.
The only important piece of information I'd like to pass along is that even with my international data plan, there is no service in Namibia. So when you're sent the ticket voucher two days before the tour, I couldn't access it. It was confusing getting off the cruise ship and not knowing there were two gates and that our guide would be at the second.

This tour was truly amazing! Robbie was my tour guide and I gave him a nickname of legend because he is legendary! Robbie has a wealth of knowledge, he is a bushman and has been doing these tours for over 15 years! Walvis Bay is gorgeous, Robbie takes his time, answers questions and has stories for days! This is a must do tour!
