Anchor Adventures is a level above all the other tours I’ve been on (4 in total) while in Windhoek. Linda does a great job weaving in history, architecture and neighborhood life in this 3hr tour. During our visit, we hit up places off the regular tour guide map and talked about hard topics (genocide, international politics, segregation, etc.) Linda was knowledgeable, personable and kind. She even made sure to cushion our visit with extra time at the market so I could draw people, shops and food! (I’m an illustrator by trade.) A really amazing tour, and a great hang!

Wir haben die Katutura Township Tour gebucht. Wir wurden vormittags abgeholt haben das Museum und die Christuskirche besucht. Danach haben wir die Penduka Manufactur gefahren und von dort aus haben wir dann auf einem Markt eine Mittagspause eingelegt. Ein kleiner Trinkstopp durfte auch nicht fehlen. Wir konnten dort einen Einblick bekommen vom typisch namibianischen Alltag in einen Township bekommen. Es war ein erlebnisreicher Tag den wir nie vergessen werden. Der Chef persönlich hat uns diesen erlebsnisreichen Tag ermöglicht und noch einen besonderen Dank dafür das er sich noch die Zeit genommen hat und uns bei dem Kauf einer sim Karte unterstützt hat.

Die Tour tust an der Christuskirche gestartet. Der Guide war pünktlich da. Er hat uns herzlich begrüßt. Seine Sprache in Deutsch ist perfekt. Dann haben wir uns kurz die Sehenswürdigkeiten in Windhoek angeschaut. Besonders zu erwähnen der alte Bahnhof. Wir haben dort das Museum besucht. War eine tolle Erfahrung. Dann ging es nach Katutura. Das hat uns alle sehr bewegt. Unser Guide hat uns alles sehr ausführlich geschildert und wir haben auch einen Markt und eine Bar besucht. Tolle Tour und unser Guide ist sehr zu empfehlen.
