Excellent excursion. Good joining experience adjacent to cruise terminal. Small tour group; we were 3 4 x 4 vehicles with 4 guests per vehicle. Started with drive to salt plain; very interesting & informative, followed by dune experience. Marius, our driver, was very experienced, and he was an excellent leader. The dune topography is outstanding & his skills were apparent, Towards the end of the tour, we were treated to a first class buffet (from their new supplier) & both food & drink were plentiful & of a high quality. Finished off with driving along the shoreline with ocean on one side & dunes on the other. Great way to finish the experience before the relatively short drive back to the cruise terminal. No hesitation in recommending this company & excursion.

Great experience. Great views and fun in the dunes. Guide great. The only part I didn't like is that we didn't see much animals.

Due to the excursion taking place in the desert with a very small free roaming wildlife population no wildlife can be guaranteed. Therefor we sell our product as a Sandwich Harbour Scenic Excursion and not a wildlife excursion. Spotting the animal in the desert is always by luck and a desert wonder for us. We always wish to show them to our client and go the extra mill to do so. Looking forward to your next visit

Wild Space Adventure Safaris moved the time of our tour to better accommodate the time our cruise ship was in port. I received a very detailed email about where to meet them and what to expect. Our excellent guide Hans took great care of us and made sure we saw the best sights when the lighting was best for photos. He was very informative, friendly and accommodating. The tour of the dunes should not be missed if you visit Namibia. Hans made sure we got to see flamingos, seals, a jackal, springbok. He explained about the salt mine, gave a science lesson about the iron in the sand, provided a delicious lunch with champagne. We always felt safe, even driving down the steep dunes. We thought this tour was an excellent value.

Great tour! It was nice to see the wildlife, and the dunes up close. We really enjoyed our guide, Gerhard, who friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! Definitely recommended!!

Great views and wildlife. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Many stops at very interesting places. Only negative is our pickup time was changed from 9:30 to 12:30. But as we are learning this seems to be the norm in Africa. We have done three excursions now in Africa and all three changed the time to 3 hours later. Nice lunch on the beach.

We do sincerely apologise for moving the time from 09H30 to 12H30. With past experiences we have notice that it takes our clients who arrive with passenger liners / cruise ships 3 hours to clear customs therefore our thoughts were that you don't have to stand in the long queue and feel rushed but that you can rather take your time to clear the immigrations in your own time and depart the ship with no rush. Hope to have you visit Namibia soon again and enjoy your cruise around the world.

This tour was amazing. Marius gives an excellent tour. There’s are no words to describe the beauty . The pink lagoon , the flamingos and of course the dunes and a nice lunch with amazing wine .

We had a wonderful day with the team of Wild Safari Adventure tours. Our guide, Glen, was stellar and ensured that we not only had a great experience but also imparted so much information about Walvis Bay and Sandwich Harbour. The dunes were incredible and not to be missed if you are ever in Namibia. Along with all of the excitement we were treated to a wonderful lunch complete with champagne, beer and non-alcohol beverages. When on the coast of Namibia this is a must to visit sandwich harbor spending the day on the sand dunes - even if you’ve done desert dunes elsewhere in the world this landscape exceeds any and all! We were on a cruise and the company communication, transport and timing were all excellent. Martin did a fab job driving us all day and was most careful when on the sand. We also had a stop by the seaside where canapés made by Abby - zebra and champagne amongst the choices - were served, nice touch! Highly recommend ⭐️

We had an absolutely wonderful time on this tour. The pick up and drop off from the cruise port were smooth. Our guide Martin was super friendly and took great care of us. Lunch was fabulously prepared by Abbie. And the sand dunes were magnificent. Overall we had one of the best tours I have ever been on.

Namibia is a hidden gem, we will return. The tour was fantastic, Henne our guide is a biologist and was a wealth of knowledge. A must do especially the 4x4 in the dunes.

Hans was a fabulous, truly professional guide/driver. A native Namibian, he had an expansive knowledge of the country’s past and present and a few ideas about its future, too! Somehow he was able to make us feel as though we were all alone on the dunes which made for wonderful pictures and a peak travel experience unlike any other. Unique and beautiful! Our knowledgeable driver, Hans, made sure we were safe, informed, and even fed a picnic lunch. We had a great time going up and down some of the dunes and enjoying the great views from the top. If you think looking at dunes is boring, you have not been on this excursion.

It was a spectacular way to explore the Walvis Bay area from Sandwich Harbor, the trek up and around the dunes with stops to see the flamingos, seals, jackals and more. Let’s not forget the picnic lunch out in the desert. Our driver/guide Hans made it a special day.

Marius was the lead driver of the four 4X4 vehicles which undertook
this adventure. He was brilliant (and the owner of the company) and
took us places in the dunes it seemed impossible to reach. The views were spectacular. It was a terrific five hours which included a great picnic. More than enough food for the 16 of us with wine, beer and
soft drinks. Marius even found us a jackal which posed just off the
track whilst we took pictures. Thoroughly recommended trip. Ten
out of ten.

The scenery was spectacular! We really enjoyed our time along the coast and in the dunes. We did this on Valentine’s Day at our driver, even had Valentine’s chocolates waiting for us! Hans was wonderful.

So much more to see than advertised. Our tour guide Hans was very knowledgeable, lots of background information and he showed that he is an excellent and experienced driver when we drove through the dunes - quite an experience. Even it cannot be guaranteed but we saw quite some wildlife like seals, springbocks, shakals and birds. I would do this tour definitely again- highly recommended

A knowledgeable guide.
Great vehicle and great trip.
Loads of duning, with great views of a stunning landscape.
We were fortunate to see some of the wildlife......a number of lizards, and injured jackal a sidewinder snake which we stopped to watch burrowing itself in the sand, a single Ibex and a group of 6 springbox.
The birdlife was also great with 2 types of flamingoes in large numbers, plovers scurrying about, a few pelicans and a massive group of cormorants in a dense line.
Also stopped for a quick look at a small area of the pink salt pans.
Lunch was a picnic in a sheltered valley in the sand dunes with sparkling wine, beer water and soft drinks available. A good variety of food including samosa, calamari , beef kebabs, mini quiches, chicken and chocolate sweets. Enough for all the group of 4 vehicles.
We even rescued a lone driver who was stuck in the sand after failing to deflated his tyres.
Large numbers of vehicles were still heading into the desert as we returned.
A fantastic day. Thanks to all involved.

Really great tour. The guide Hans was excellent and so informative. He could answer any question we asked about the country and the area. There were 3 4x4 cars in total on the tour. Only 2 people in each car so plenty of room. We saw plenty wild life and had a fantastic champagne lunch in the dunes. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a great second visit to Walvis Bay, thanks to this excursion.
We were picked up on time at the cruise port by JB, our driver/guide.
He made stops at the Flamingo Bay, salt pan, and when jackals、seals、springbok and Oreo were spotted… in Sandwich Harbour park, we had a wonderful time riding the Land Rover on stretch of narrow road between the tall sand dunes and the ocean. Lagoon with more flamingos, beautiful sand dunes, delicious picnic lunch and drinks, thrilling sand dune riding, and stunning view from top…. Just a great day beyond our expecting! Thank you JB!
