Worth every penny!
Petra is a gem and worth every penny. We almost cancelled the excursion with everything going on but decided to go since we flew all of this way. Our guide promptly picked us up at 7am. The drive takes about 2.5-3 hours. He stopped half way there for a toilet break and snacks. When you arrive at Petra there is a visitor center. We chose to walk which took approximately 30 minutes downhill. It was a little chilly walking through the caves but very scenic. Then it opens to Petra like the movies. Not many people were there when we got there at 10am. You can takes pictures with the camels or chose to take a hike up to look down on it for a fee ($10-$15 JD). We stayed for about 2 hours which was plenty and paid $30 JD to take a ride in a golf cart back to the visitor center. Highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant whistlestop tour of Jordan - can’t recommend enough!
Absolutely brilliant experience exploring Jordan in a very short time. Day 1: picked up from hotel in Amman and straight to Petra and were a mixed group from uk, us, russia, hungary and Italy. It was about 2.5 /3 hours to Petra and We had 5 hours in Petra. I read some reviews saying this wasn’t sufficient time but we all found it enough and managed to see most of the sites and the monastery as well. You can make it if you get straight there and took about 1hr 30 to the furthest point at the monastery but it’s a fair walk and lots of stairs to get there. Then straight onto wadi rum which was about 2 hours from sunset. This was absolutely incredible and the views and the calm tranquility was one of the highlights. I stayed in a deluxe tent which was only about £30 more and well worth the price - as it had heating and ac as well as a private bathroom - it was like a hotel room rather than the smaller tents which don’t have toilets or heating and are more basic (depends on what you want) The jeep tour was fantastic - remember both your thermals and sun cream as the sun is quite intense but also it’s pretty cold in the am (was there in Feb) Next onto the Dead Sea which was about 4 hours so fairly long but we had toilet breaks and didn’t feel too bad. 2.5 hours at the Dead Sea for floating and mud soaking and then an hour ish back to Amman. The tour guide jafar was fantastic - super knowledgable and got us around super efficiently. So grateful to his expertise! Amazing trip and leaving feeling culturally fulfilled but also rested and recharged despite a full schedule!

Great day trip to Petra
We had a great day touring Petra in Feb2026. We booked through Trip Advisor. I think it's the one titled Full Day Trip to Petra. We purchased the package which included the Petra tickets and saved some time upon arrival. Our driver Khalil was very nice with a nice car and helped us secure a great guide upon arrival. The guide's name is Wasfi and we highly recommend him. His cost was about $70USD. His excellent knowledge and explanation of what we saw enhanced our trip and understanding of the depth and history of Petra and its surroundings. We skipped the Monastery due to lack of time and it seemed to us that to fully do it all, you need to spend two days there. We did see a nice IHG hotel at Petra so if we go back that could be an option. The drive from Amman is about 3 hours and seemed to take forever so bring something to do in the car. There is not much to see along the drive but the vast desert is quite something to behold.

An Unforgettable Journey with Abu Farah
We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our driver Abu Farah on our trip to Ajloun and Jerash. From the very beginning, he made us feel incredibly welcome, comfortable, and at ease. Abu Farah is extremely knowledgeable and has a deep passion for history. Our conversations throughout the journey were genuinely enjoyable, enriched with fascinating historical insights and stories that made the trip even more meaningful. His ability to speak five languages is truly impressive and made communication effortless and smooth. What really stood out was his kindness and generosity. He was very flexible when we had changes in our plans and handled everything with such a positive attitude and a warm smile. He never made us feel rushed and always prioritized our comfort and enjoyment. Such a sweet, respectful, and amazing person — Abu Farah didn’t just drive us, he truly elevated our entire experience. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Jordan and looking for a driver who is professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

With comfortable transportation and expert commentary included, Jordan tours make exploring the country’s top attractions both easy and interesting. Check one of the Seven Wonders of the World off your list by visiting Petra’s 2,300-year-old temples and tombs carved into sandstone cliffs. Experience Wadi Rum as the bedouins do by camping and cooking in traditional tents, or soar over the desert’s dramatic red sand dunes and rock arches in a hot air balloon. When you need a break, a mineral-rich mud bath and float in the salty Dead Sea will be just what the doctor ordered.
