We pick up from any Hotel , Pension or Bed & Breakfast along the Coast between Swakopmund and Walfishbay we also pick up at Walvisbay Harbor and Airport. Please advise arrival times. On an afternoon tour we also pick up after your other activity , like Catamaran seal cruise or after Kayaking. We start in Swakopmund .and pick up in Walvisbay 30 minutes later than advertised. Please take note all cruise liner passengers. We stand in the port after the first gate with a Gazebo that has our logo on. Please note your guide will also stand with a name board. please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show

- Please note due to the scarcity of German guides we cannot guarantee a German speaking guide, in peak season or when a cruise liner is in the Harbour and 2000guests disembark.

It was a great trip to Sandwich Harbour - i can only recommend it to everybody who visits Swakopmund! Breathtaking views, the best guide Uwe and so much fun and still very relaxing with enough time to breath and just sit in the sand to enjoy the views.

Winston picked us up at the cruise terminal in Walvis Bay. We made a quick stop to see the flamingos on a beach in the distance. From there we made another quck stop at the Salt mine. The next part was the highlight of the day. He masterfully drove us to Sandwich Bay, through the crazy sand dunes on one side also dodging waves at times, on the other side. It was absolutely an incredible day. It felt like we were in another world.

Amazing small group 4WD tour though the dunes to all the best lookouts. Gerrard our guide was a great driver and shared a lot about the area. Lunch on the dunes was a highlight.

This is a very good experience. A good thrill to do at the only place in the world to do it. Hannes wants you to have a good time, so you tell your friends back home about it. He goes out of his way to make sure you have a good time. The drive was great and the lunch was top notch. He patiently answers all questions on wide ranging topics about his life, family history, Namibian politics, even personal life. My experience with him was rewarding.
My only concern is if the 4x4 excursions are being done on a sustainable fashion. The vehicles probaly disturb a lot of wildlife that is there. The fast 4x4s may run over baby seals that come on the beach to rest. This is particularly true since private vehicles are also allowed on the beach. The government should designate only certain tracks that can be used with markers and the directions in which vehicles can travel and put a limit on number of vehicles allowed everyday or the problem may get out of hand.

Mostly a sand dune 4x4 trip with dramatic scenery. Some wildlife but somewhat hit or miss in terms of species viewed. Fun lunch in the dunes. Tour guide Delano was fantastic. I appreciated especially his candor in discussing Namibia and his willingness to accommodate the special interests of the passengers. Also enjoyed Delano’s sense of humor and local knowledge.

Winston picked us up from our hotel in walvis bay, directly opposite the lagoon. As the flamingo migrate from February till May, we saw very few of them. Our trip took us past the salt works on outskirts of the town. We followed the shore line towards the dunes. Winston deflated the tires for driving in sand and over the dunes. We arrived at dunes and sandwiched harbor at low tide so were able to drive along the water’s edge. The dunes were magnificent. Scaling them in the 4x4 was somewhat of an adventure… if you tend to get motion sickness, take a preventative meclizine before hand, especially if you are in the backseat. Winston left us at the top of one of the dunes overlooking sandwich harbor. While we walked down to the ocean, Winston drove down in order to set up our picnic lunch…. Yummy variety of chicken, beef shush kebabs, olives, beer, cider, juices and water. By the time we were leaving, a number of other tour cars were arriving but because we left at 10:30 am we had the beach to ourselves. A lovely experience! Thank you Winston!

Wow we had an experience we will always remember! Hannes, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable on the local area, the flora, the fauna and the history. He made the tour enjoyable and you felt looked after. We had a blast riding up and down the dunes, and stopping the car to take in breath taking scenery of dunes as far as the eye can see. We had adequate stops as well as lovely snacks and drinks. Don’t pass up sandwich harbour and make sure you book with these guys

Well this experience exceeded all expectations. We had a gem of a guide in Dennis. What a character kept us on the edge of our seat with his knowledge and charisma. We then teamed up with Gerhard who combined to enhance the experience with thrilling (on the edge of your seat stuff) driving between sea and dunes that then culminated in exciting high dune driving. The views were magnificent and we were treated to Seals Gemsbok Springbok Flamigoes White Pelicans Tok Tokkies dune lizard and pink salt. Highly recommended!

This is a breathtaking nature wonder tour for our group of 10 seniors. We were so thrilled to be able to enjoy the roller coaster rides with a total of 4 SUVs. Jurgen, our tour guide, together with three other guides were extremely experienced and polite making the entire trip a memorable one. Everyone enjoyed the lunch buffet and drinks. Great trip out to dunes around bay and salt pans with flocks of flamingos. Local guide was knowledgeable and good driver. Fun 4 wheel drive over dunes that provided some amazing views of beach and desert

Unfortunately, we cancelled the Welwitschia tour and booked this one instead, but Viator cancelled both tours. Even though the agent tried her best to get us on another tour, there were five of us with only a four seater vehicle, which was dirty. Due to time restraints, we were therefore unable to do this tour, which was booked almost a month in advance. Disappointing.

Hi Moira. we apologize and understand your anger as to the way the booking went. I worked on and confirmed your booking after you changed it, we still emailed each other. We can thus not understand how it was cancelled again, and disappeared from Viator. Our Office contacted Viator and they were engaged and all tried to help. If a booking is cancelled a refund must be claimed from Viator. Viator only pays us the next month and your name was not on the statement, nor was a refund requested from us. All we and the viator lady can presume is that your payment did not go through and thus the platformed removed your booking?. If there is no Payment there is no booking , and there is no response from us, as we are not expecting you anymore. We tried our best in the peak season to assist you, but you were very angry and did not really want to do the tour anymore. Again this is not our fault, we are in business in doing tours and mistakes and complaints are viewed very seriously. You should be taking this issue up with Viator directly as we have no control over it. Again we apologize for the mishap and inconvenience caused. Uwe

The dunes were breathtaking and can the guide/driver drive.The tour was a bit rushed because of the wrong pick-up from another driver.More time in dunes needed.

Our tour guide UWE was fantastic and him being a former rally driver, it just puts an extra bit of comfort into the trip . As we couldn't make the sandwich harbour passage because of the high tide, UWE more than made up for it with some extreme dune driving experience! Exhilarating! During the trip , we also spotted a herd of oryx ( 30 odd) and numerous springbok. Tour worth every penny in my view !

Awesome experience. Tour was well organized. I got picked up at my accommodation on time. Seeing the high dunes and the many seals and flamingos were the highlight of the trip. Also a nice desert picnic. Driving on the high dunes was lots of fun too. I highly recommend this tour to others.
