What are people saying about Mauritius

Well worth a visit!
We had a fabulous day out with Beni as our guide. We visited a cashmere factory, a model boat factory, followed by Trou aux Cerfs Volcano, the Alexander water fall, Black river gorge, Grand Bassin and Chararmel Waterfalls and 7 coloured earth and saw the giant tortoises. All for £75 plus entrance fees to the Charamel Waterfalls which was about £13 each. The views from the top of the mountain were stunning and we learned a lot about the Hindu religion at Grand Bassin. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Entertaining storyteller and safe responsible driver
Sahil was a safe and responsible taxi driver making intelligent conversation providing a good historical knowledge of the island. Highlights included imaginative retellings of the local ghost stories and good insights about the local culture. The car itself was immaculate with a certain rock star energy! Thanks Sahiil! We wish you all the best with your future plans

Amazing experience, Superb Crew
Amazing experience, Fantastic Crew. Turned out to be an exceptional experience. We had 3 guys, Tomy and 2 others, dont remember their names and all made our trip exceptionally memorable. Also got 3 dolphins to have an additional dolphin show! One of the most amazing memories we had. Must do. With these guys only!

South West tour of Mauritius
Fabulous tour given by Nichel around the South West of the island. He was welcoming and very knowledgeable and gave me time to enjoy each visit on my own but on hand to take photos as I was travelling alone. The weather made the day and I would definitely recommend a tour as this enhanced the experience and you also get to know other lovely knowledge. The lunch was a real taste of Mauritius with a delicious selection.

Exploring Mauritius.
We had a great day with Nasser our driver to explore Mauritius. The car was comfortable and clean and Nasser was a good driver. We received interesting information along the way and at the places we visited. Unfortunately the weather was not great that day but Nasser adjusted the itinerary so that we still could enjoy the tour. We can highly recommend this company and our driver Nasser.

The best thing I did in Mauritius
If you don’t do anything else in Mauritius, this is the one thing you need to do. Christopher was the best tour guide we encountered on our trip! He was friendly, enthusiastic and humourous which added so much to the experience!
We expected to just do food tasting but we got so so much more than that. Christopher explained the Mauritius history in detail, the colonial past, the different cultures, religions and taught us so much about the country, even down to the drains in the street. He also took us to the food market, craft market and to the museum! And he included an extra for us which was a tea tasting experience at Kuanfu Tea which was amazing! He also gave us dining suggestions for after the tour.
This was really an amazing north tour!
The food we tried was delicious and everything was clean and safe and well selected! The best food we ate in Mauritius was on this tour.
Make sure to not eat too much before you go as the food you get is very generous and big portions and you want to try everything.
Cannot recommend anything more.

Our day out in Mauritius
A full day with lots of experiences. Our driver was very knowledgeable about the area. The included lunch was delicious with choices. The coloured earth looked more colourful on the picture on the internet than in real life but this did not detract from the overall tour. The visit to the tea and rum tours were very good. Plenty of tea to try with no hard sell. Don’t get too drunk tasting the many varieties of rum!!!

Excellent trip #makingmemories
We were up at our hotel by our driver Vicky who chauffeured us on both legs of our journey. Vicky was professional and friendly and when we arrived at our destination, located the jetty for us and explained the return journey arrangements. He was there to meet us ready for our trip home too.
The crew were fantastic (3) and made the trip one to remember. The catamaran was very spacious with lots of shaded area for those that required this - for those that wished for the sailing experience there was plenty of space on the front, including lounging on the nets.
The details were expertly explained both when boarding and during our trip. There were about 30 sailors in total which worked well and still allowed lots of space. Two toilets were on board if needed.
The food was superb - sausages, chicken skewers and tuna were bbq’d by the crew on our journey and these were accompanied by lovely salads - plenty for everyone. Breakfast was fresh croissants and hot drinks.
There was a good selection of both alcoholic and non alcohol beverages - the jungle juice packs a punch so be warned!!
We saw the waterfall, monkeys, had a great time snorkelling in shallow seas and beautiful fish and spent just over an hour on the island. Nothing felt rushed and timings worked for us. All in all a fabulous day which we would totally recommend.
Our intial trip had been cancelled due to ‘catastrophic’ weather conditions but we soon rebooked and felt reassured that safety was key.
Our initial trip had been booked some weeks before travel but Viator honoured our original discount code, which was very appreciated.

Amazing but Challenging.
Wow !!! Exhilarating !! Yiddish was our guide and the knowledge he has of the area is amazing. A true cultural experience. The scramble is tough so make sure you’re physically able and be confident. Our guide took his time and we all made it without incident. The views at the top are worth it.

Stunning South West
Amazing scenery on this tour of the south west. Our driver Robin gave us lots of information en route as we visited Chamarel, the Black River Gorges National Park, the Grand Bassin Temple and the Trou aux Cerfs volcano crater. We had time to look around the various places and also had several stops along the way to take pictures at viewpoints. We even saw a Macaque monkey! We had brought a picnic lunch from the hotel and Robin found us a picnic spot by a lake so we could eat it. As it was a Sunday there weren’t many shops open but we visited a shop in Curepipe and bought some T shirts as souvenirs. All in all a great way to see a bit more of the country outside of our hotel. Thank you!

Catamaran Tour with music
It is a catamaran tour by ocean cruise (company name) covering dolphin watching, crystal rock, snorkelling and beneteirs island from 9 to 3 Pm. Ocean cruise is big company and has many catamarans. Their service is top notch and guys are professional. We were couple and catamaran can accomodate 20 persons. Buffet lunch was served and they have veg options like pasta, green salad, bread and fruits. For non veg they have fish/chicken. Overall very nice tour.

A whale tale!
Great tour! Lino and Yoni were extremely patient and never rushed us. They gave us multiple opportunities to swim with the dolphins. We also got to see a huge sperm whale, and the crew waited another 45mins just to see if it may resurface again. I'd recommend this company if you're looking for a wonderful day out on the water.
