Although I didn't have time for the whole tour, the driver still took me to many places. We stopped for pics at the red roofed church by the sea. I walked the grounds of the elegant chateau, toured the home and tasted rum. I enjoyed the recommended dish, red snapper, at a local restaurant. At the botanical garden, I took a golf cart tour, which entailed an in-depth look at trees from all over the world. I also saw flying fox bats sleeping in a tree and a small animal park with tortoises there. I would recommend this tour.

We booked this trip because we wanted to explore the highlights of the North of the island. We saw everything we wanted to see and more! The trip is great value for money and having your own driver means if you take longer or shorter at a location that’s fine!
Our driver was Kevin who was brilliant. He was very friendly and helpful. He knew a lot about the island and all the destinations and answered all our questions.
The trip length is perfect if you should want to be out for the day but not consume the whole day needing to wake up early and get back late. We were able to enjoy an easy morning, do the trip and then still have some time in the afternoon to relax at our hotel. It was exactly what we wanted in the excursion .

Overall, this tour has the potential to be a great experience, but it really depends on the driver you get. Unfortunately, mine wasn’t the friendliest, which affected the day. I’d recommend having lunch in Port Louis instead of the seafood restaurant they typically take tourists to, the price isn’t worth the quality of the food. Also, some of the stops felt quite rushed, and I think they would have been much more enjoyable with a bit more time. You could probably skip Grand Baie public beach, as it’s quite crowded with parked yachts. Instead, spend more time in Pereybere, walking along the beach there is much more relaxing and enjoyable. Cap Malheureux was a highlight and absolutely beautiful. It would be great if there were an option to swim there. I also noticed that we didn’t visit the public market as advertised, which was a bit disappointing. That said, this tour could be an amazing experience overall, you just need to be lucky with the driver.

Good tour, bad driving.
Our driver didn't speak to us at all. We asked multiple questions about the locations and received a one word reply.
The places we visited were good with the botanical gardens being highly recommend. They offer a guide in the gardens 75 rupees per person.
We also asked to see China Town but our driver said "nothing to see" and continued driving
We did a South tour too with a different provider and our guide was amazing so this was such a let down.

Nice trip through the North of Mauritius.
We enjoyed staying at the Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and at the Labourdonnais Chateaux.
Port Louis is okay, if you want to visit a city. But for shopping a good place to go.
If you have the chance to visit the locals markets, there you should go. It's a great experience. We booked our trip on Mauritius National Day, so most of the shops, museums and markets were closed. But that was okay for us.

Great tour of the north of the island with Chucky Taxi Mauritius. Chucky was very good at balancing giving us information as we drove, with time just to soak up the views. He also allowed us to adjust the programme to suit our requirements and even helped me do some shopping! Thank you Chucky.

The Driver was very nice and drops you off at all station or even cut one shorter because it was Sunday and not everything was open so more time for the other station. Maybe cut it from the beginning on Sundays and ad something different.

Had a great trip with Kishan from Chucky Taxi. We had booked the 10:30 am slot for this tour but well before the trip, Kishan informed us to prepone the trip to an earlier slot so as to ensure that we visit all the places and do not miss any due to time paucity. Kishan was very professional and punctual. Based on our interest, he helped us in suggesting the must-visit places. Overall, a great and fantastic trip!!

We saw the sights from The Citadel Port Louis the Botanical Gardens colonial houses and rum tasting including a couple of beaches

I don’t usually write reviews, but after such a wonderful experience with my wife and daughter, I felt I had to share. Our private tour was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Our driver and guide, Devin, was professional, patient, and truly a gentleman. He created a very comfortable atmosphere, if we felt like chatting, he engaged warmly and shared great knowledge; and when we wanted quiet moments, he respected that too.
One thing that really stood out was his flexibility. I requested an unplanned detour that was not part of the itinerary so I could pick up a few things. Devin and the company happily accommodated my request, waited patiently for nearly an hour, and then we continued the tour without any issues. That level of understanding and customer care made a big difference.
During the tour, we visited many beautiful places. The tea tasting was excellent, the botanical garden was breathtaking, and the waterfront was lively, especially since we went on a Friday and there was a band playing, which made the atmosphere even more special. Throughout the day, Devin shared interesting history and local insights, answering all our questions while keeping the experience relaxed and enjoyable.
Honestly, this was one of the best private tours I have ever experienced. I never expected a tour to be this enjoyable and memorable for my family. I am truly grateful for the experience and we are already planning to book another tour, hopefully to explore the south side next together.

The tour is very good, and probably the best way to go around the island.
Interesting mix of urban and natural sites with some shopping in between.
Sahil, my driver, was very nice and provided plenty of information, he also had an umbrella for the moments of rain.

Wonderful experience, our Driver Asif was very good and knew everything. That we asked him, I would however not recommend the rum tasting. Very Disappointing but our driver was very helpful and very friendly.
