Excellent value tour

This tour is excellent value and covers a large amount of material (which can be tiring for seniors but the tour can be modified to suit). The sites mostly have their own guides and thus the driver should not be thought of a guide which raises expectations. The tour would take longer for those staying in the south part of the island.

The tour operator - Tipik Tours - was not expecting me, claiming he never received my booking. Fortunately my hotel in Port Louis contacted him, and a driver was quickly organised - 2 hours after the appointed start time of 9am. This driver was not a qualified tour guide. The up-side is that he was very well-mannered, and took me to the places I had researched in advance, waiting patiently while I visited each of these - all in the North. He also took me to a few places not on the itinerary. Otherwise I would request a refund. This is the second time I have been "dropped" by a tour booked through Viator. The previous time was a guided tour of the Villa Borghese in Rome in October 2019. Why are the tour operators not receiving my bookings through Viator?!

We had a private tour, just enough time to see most sights. The driver was great and kind and he answered all our questions. Overall, a great experience!

The driver was professional and pleasant. He drove us to all listed destinations safely (all of them are fabulous), gave some explanations, talked about Mauritus in general and even drove us through Grand Baie. It was only two of us so we could do everything in our own path and ask for some adjustments. Please note that to all places you go by yourself and driver is only waiting for you to pick up. But it’s not a problem because all attractions have their own employees to give you overview. Also it was really sweet that driver gave us lychee to try. I recommend this activity.
