We had an excellent experience on the South West guided tour of Mauritius. The private taxi made everything smooth and stress-free, and our driver, Ashif, truly made the day exceptional. He was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about the island, sharing interesting facts and local insights throughout the journey.
Ashif planned the route perfectly, allowing us to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. From the scenic viewpoints to the waterfalls and cultural spots, everything was well-timed and memorable. He was also friendly and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable at all times.
This tour is a great way to explore the beauty of Mauritius, and having a driver like Ashif makes it even better. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a relaxed, informative, and enjoyable day.

We had an amazing tour of southern Mauritius. The scenery stunning, and there was a great mix of nature, adventure, and local culture.
Our driver was friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was well organised, never felt rushed, and gave us a fantastic taste of the south of the island.
We did not stay in the usual pick-up area however the company was very willing to accommodate us without any extra cost. We furthermore were allowed to rearrange the itinerary without any complaints. A huge thanks for that!

We had a fabulous day out with Beni as our guide. We visited a cashmere factory, a model boat factory, followed by Trou aux Cerfs Volcano, the Alexander water fall, Black river gorge, Grand Bassin and Chararmel Waterfalls and 7 coloured earth and saw the giant tortoises. All for £75 plus entrance fees to the Charamel Waterfalls which was about £13 each. The views from the top of the mountain were stunning and we learned a lot about the Hindu religion at Grand Bassin. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Excellent guide. Chucky was just fantastic,. We wanted to adjust the schedule so that we were not out all day and Chucky gave us exactly what we wanted. He picked us up at exactly our agreed time, made sure we were 100% comfortable and we headed for the sights we wanted to see. He stopped at a couple of amazing views for photos on the way. His knowledge of the island is fantastic and it was a really pleasure to spend the morning with him. I cannot recommend this tour more highly for value and experience.

Sahil was an excellent guide and driver, providing information about each stop and mauritius life generally. We were coming from the east of the island so we didnt have time for the vallee adventure alongside travel to/from the south but still had a great day with the rest of the itinerary. Would highly recommend. We've used other taxi companies but this one definitely was the most informative.

We had to delay this tour to Tuesday as the Rhumerie was closed on Sunday. Chukie organised the change with no issue. Suhil our guide was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, he knows everything there is to know about the Island amd the various sites, his driving is incredibly careful and relaxing. The itinerary is planned based on your hotel location and you never feel rushed or overwhelmed. I would 100% recommend this tour just like the North Island tour which we also experienced with Chukie Taxi

Picked up on time from hotel, car was very clean and air conditioned. Asif our driver was fantastic, very knowledgeable and personable. We did change our itinary and he was very happy to oblige. Would thoroughly recommend this trip and Asif!

Firstly, a huge thank you to Chucky Taxis. They were incredibly friendly, flexible, and accommodating. I had to change my tour date twice at short notice, and they still made sure I could have Asif again after I specifically requested him following my fantastic North Tour.
The South Tour was amazing. We visited Chamarel Seven Coloured Earth, Chamarel Waterfall, Alexandra Falls, the temple near the giant statues, Black River Gorges, the famous 52 bends, beautiful viewpoints, and even caught a stunning sunset.
Asif was brilliant as always. He is incredibly knowledgeable, answered every question I had, and shared so much interesting information throughout the day. We spent most of the drive chatting and laughing, and he even let me play my own music again. When it started raining, he already had an umbrella ready for me.
I also enjoyed Curious Corner, the model ship workshop, souvenir shopping, and seeing a Paille en Queue. I never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore. These tours have been a highlight of my holiday, and I highly recommend both Chucky Taxis and Asif:)

Quite a mixture of sites to see. Buddhist cultural complex was amazing plus the various geology/landscape formations were beautiful and educational. Devin, our tour guide, was helpful and shared plenty of cultural information.

Amazing experience. I recommend 100%. This will be 8 h trip including the travel time from the hotel and back to so probably you have to cut from the list 1-2 attractions points depending how far is the pick up location so this is fair enough; we’ve prioritised the Chamarel waterfall and 7 Colour Earth and the Rum distillery( do not miss it because has amazing views not only rum tasting) but our driver made somehow and we managed to see most of the attraction;

We took a private tour through the southwest of Mauritius. Kevin, our driver-guide, was punctual at the designated pickup location and time. As he explained to us, he is a native of Mauritius and is well-versed in its history, which allowed him to provide us with detailed explanations regarding the areas we visited. He also agreed to make some adjustments to the itinerary to accommodate my mobility challenges.

I highly recommend this taxi tour of south Mauritius. The communication with Chucky on WhatsApp before the tour was excellent. I was picked up at the guesthouse where I was staying and Chucky made suggestions and tailored the tour to my wishes. For example, we skipped shopping since it’s not interesting to me and instead spent more time at Valle so that I could zip line and walk to see the 23 colors. Chucky knows the island’s roads and was a great guide sharing his knowledge of Mauritius. Definitely don’t miss this tour!

Everything was great and as advertised. Our driver and guide for the day, Beni picked us up right on time. He took us to all the main sites and tailored the tour to the things we were interested in. Beni gave us great commentary along the way, and as I asked questions we learned a lot about Maritian culture, day to day life, Government etc. I love to learn about those things and it is one of the reasons why we enjoy doing private tours. There is so much you can learn.

We had a great time on our island tour with Sahil. He new a lot about the island’s history and culture and deove us to the best locations to visit. Everything went smoothly and it was one of the best days here in Mauritius.

The tour was 8 hours including journey back and forth from our North-West hotel so actual time doing activities was approx 5 hours. Bear this in mind when choosing where to visit. We didn't spend long at advenature park so fortunately had enough time to visit the rum distillery although we weren't able to get to the 7 coloured earth park in time. Unfortunately due to time restraints we had to decide between stopping for lunch or going to the rum distillery. The itinerary on Viator is a bit misleading as it includes all activities and time for lunch so it should make it clearer that driving time from North will impact on what activities can be done. Despite this, Sahil was a great host, very informative and courteous. Vehicle was very comfortable and he drove us safely with our choice of music.

He showed us spectacular views and also told us a lot about Mauritius.
On this tour we were in the center of Mauritius, We drove through Mauritius' Tea Plantation, and stopped at Grand Bassin Chamarel, Alexandra Falls and Seven Earths. We loved our trip. So much nature and peaceful places, that was exactly what we needed. We definitely recommend this tour. Thanks to Asif once again.

Asif from Chucky Taxi was our chauffeur cum guide for this trip. A very professional and nice person. Before visiting every place, he provided ample insight about that place. Even while driving, he did provide lot of information about landmarks on the way. He even took us to some beautiful picturesque places and helped in capturing it the lenses. Overall, an awesome trip!!
This was the second trip we undertook with Chucky Taxi and we were happy with both the trips. Their professionalism and customer-centric approach is truly appreciated.

2nd tour of Mauritius after exploring the north earlier this week - we requested Asif again and he was a superb guide/driver for the day
Our first stop was to see the extinct volcano then on to the model ship factory tour - we had a couple of waterfall stops and a stop for lunch
In the afternoon the heavens opened and torrential rain but it didn't spoil our trip to the 7 colours and the Chamarel Rhumeri tour
We arrived back in our Hotel around 17.45 after a 9.00 start
Well worth a visit when visiting Mauritius

The tour was wonderful - we customised it and had longer at certain places and did not visit others as it wasn’t for us! Devin was lovely and very knowledgeable about the island and he really helped to make out day as special as possible. Communication was amazing from start to finish and I would so recommend doing this day trip as you really do see so much!
