He was punctual, professional, and very knowledgeable about the island, sharing interesting facts and local insights throughout the journey.
Ashif planned the route perfectly, allowing us to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. From the scenic viewpoints to the waterfalls and cultural spots, everything was well-timed and memorable. He was also friendly and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable at all times.

Everything was great and as advertised. Our driver and guide for the day, Beni picked us up right on time. He took us to all the main sites and tailored the tour to the things we were interested in. Beni gave us great commentary along the way, and as I asked questions we learned a lot about Maritian culture, day to day life, Government etc. I love to learn about those things and it is one of the reasons why we enjoy doing private tours. There is so much you can learn.

We had a great time on our island tour with Sahil. He new a lot about the island’s history and culture and deove us to the best locations to visit. Everything went smoothly and it was one of the best days here in Mauritius.

The tour was 8 hours including journey back and forth from our North-West hotel so actual time doing activities was approx 5 hours. Bear this in mind when choosing where to visit. We didn't spend long at advenature park so fortunately had enough time to visit the rum distillery although we weren't able to get to the 7 coloured earth park in time. Unfortunately due to time restraints we had to decide between stopping for lunch or going to the rum distillery. The itinerary on Viator is a bit misleading as it includes all activities and time for lunch so it should make it clearer that driving time from North will impact on what activities can be done. Despite this, Sahil was a great host, very informative and courteous. Vehicle was very comfortable and he drove us safely with our choice of music.

He showed us spectacular views and also told us a lot about Mauritius.
On this tour we were in the center of Mauritius, We drove through Mauritius' Tea Plantation, and stopped at Grand Bassin Chamarel, Alexandra Falls and Seven Earths. We loved our trip. So much nature and peaceful places, that was exactly what we needed. We definitely recommend this tour. Thanks to Asif once again.

Asif from Chucky Taxi was our chauffeur cum guide for this trip. A very professional and nice person. Before visiting every place, he provided ample insight about that place. Even while driving, he did provide lot of information about landmarks on the way. He even took us to some beautiful picturesque places and helped in capturing it the lenses. Overall, an awesome trip!!

2nd tour of Mauritius after exploring the north earlier this week - we requested Asif again and he was a superb guide/driver for the day
Our first stop was to see the extinct volcano then on to the model ship factory tour - we had a couple of waterfall stops and a stop for lunch
In the afternoon the heavens opened and torrential rain but it didn't spoil our trip to the 7 colours and the Chamarel Rhumeri tour
We arrived back in our Hotel around 17.45 after a 9.00 start

The tour was wonderful - we customised it and had longer at certain places and did not visit others as it wasn’t for us! Devin was lovely and very knowledgeable about the island and he really helped to make out day as special as possible. Communication was amazing from start to finish and I would so recommend doing this day trip as you really do see so much!

This was the second tour we booked with Chucky Taxis while in Mauritius. Like the first tour communication was good before the tour and we were informed that the traffic would be very heavy due to a religious pilgrimage in the area. We decided to go ahead anyway and although the traffic was very heavy seeing all the floats etc for the pilgrimage was very interesting. We decided to skip the lunch stop so we could still fit everything in and still get back to our hotel at the planned time - our driver was very good and accommodating to our needs. Definitely recommended and good value

It’s been a great tour.
The formula really suited me, as you get explanations during the drive and then you are let free to visit the sites by yourself with a precise schedule.
Sahil, my driver, has been super lovely, with friendly attitude, plenty of information, safe drive and the perfect balance between the planned trip and some flexibility of choice.
I would definitely do it again.

We visited Mauritius and took the South-West Tour with Chucky Taxi. The tour was varied and full of impressions of the island – a perfect way to discover the most beautiful spots of Mauritius.
Our driver Asif was punctual, reliable, and very friendly. He spoke excellent English, explained a lot, and gave us interesting insights into the culture, nature, and history of the island.
Highlights of the tour:
• Chamarel Waterfall and the Seven Colored Earth
• Grand Bassin (Sacred Lake)
• Black River Gorges National Park
• Stunning viewpoints along the west coast
• Authentic impressions in small villages
The organization was excellent, and we felt completely comfortable throughout the day.

A great intro tour of key attractions in the South with Chucky’s taxis. Chucky picked us up on time and discussed our options and preferences with us. He then safely drove us to the key locations giving helpful background info along the way. From a rhumerie to multi-coloured rocks to a Hindu temple, botanical gardens and other view points this was a lovely day. Chucky was very engaging and accommodating throughout and made it a lovely day. Entrance fees are not included in this tour but it is good value and we would happily use Chucky’s taxis again.

We had an amazing day. Before we even began, Chucky Taxis let us know who our driver would be and sent a photo of the car and number plate. Ashif picked us up at our requested time, made us feel comfortable and provided us with expert knowledge of the island and of the points we were visiting. We chose not to visit a couple of spots and because it was just me and my husband, our requests were easily accommodated. We would both highly recommend this trip, excellent value for money and a wonderful team!

Chunky taxis and their team is simple superb. Special thanks to Sahil who guided and took us around the South of Mauritius in a comfortable drive. Ganga Tao was special while Vallepark was a bit overpriced for its worth. 23 colored earth was very ordinary and could hv been avoided. 4 stars only for Chucky taxis..

This tour, which was booked with Chucky's Taxi, was great value for money. Commication with Chucky via What's App was excellent. We saw a lot of really good site and really enjoyed the Rum distillery tour. I did not give this tour a 4 star rating for two reasons; one was that the car provided was a little small for 4 people and our driver was a little quiet and we constantly had to prod him for information. Other that that, great tour and I would book with Chucky again.

Sahill was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The places we visited were picturesque and not too busy at this time of year. The waterfalls were beautiful and the rum tasting was fabulous. We felt we had enough time at each stop and didn’t feel rushed.

Connecting with an exceptional tour guide adds the magic needed to to change an ordinary experience to an extraordinary one. We spent two days with Ashif seeing both the north and south sides of Mauritius through the eyes of a guide who not only was knowledgeable about each of the venues we visited, but who was able to make each more memorable by elaborating when responding to our questions, adding personal insights, looking for opportunities for us to interact with locals, tailoring each stop to our personal needs and interests. Because of his enthusiasm and expertise, we fell in love with Mauritius and hope to expand on our experiences in the future !
