Expensive but incredible experience.
Incredible experience. Expensive to do but it was a once in a life time experience. The rangers were very good and made you feel at ease. Not everything was open at the park, but bare in mind, you can't feed the Giraffe's on a Tuesday and Thursday (however this didn't bother us as mainly went for the lions).

Dress appropriately
The ground in the lion enclosure is very uneven and flat walking shoes/trainers are advisable not the diamonty strappy sandals I’ve seen some wearing.

Walking with the lions
I am a bit of a cat lady but this was the best experience I have ever had with big cats the trainers and keepers truly love their animals and the cats welfare is their top priority all the big cats seemed healthy and very happy!

Walk with the lions is a must
Great day at casela, the lion walk was amazing and definitely worth paying extra for. They also do lots of other extras you can book through the website or on the day like feeding rhinos, interacting with cheetahs etc

  • You can buy your tickets on the day or online; Mauritian residents and kids get discounted entry.

  • There are two restaurants in the park and several kiosks serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.

  • A gift shop at the park sells stuffed animals and handmade crafts.

  • Because of the natural terrain, not all park areas are suited to strollers and visitors with limited mobility.
