An unmissable excursion
A really fascinating trip with a multitude of experiences - stunning scenery, an interesting visit to the women’s cooperative, a fun guided hike, a delicious meal, contact with very welcoming Berber people - made all the more enjoyable by our attentive, knowledgeable guide Mohammed#1 with his great sense of humour. Highly recommendable.

Agafay desert quads, dinner and show
We were collected from our accommodation in a mini van by our friendly guide Mo, we picked up others which didn't take long efficiently done, first stop was the quad biking which was a lot of fun, our guide made sure everyone was getting on with the quad bikes and being safe. We went on after this to an Argan oil cooperative had some tea and bread with dips, the process explained and of course the opportunity to buy related stuff which was a pretty good price and no pressure if not. We went on to ride some camels after this which was what you might expect ( not my fav part I must admit!), then on to the desert camp for dinner and entertainment which was all great, good food, a lovely setting and the entertainment was fun and seemingly enjoyed by the crowd, finished off with the fire dancing, eating and then some sort of pretty exciting spinning like massive sparklers! I would definitely recommend this trip our guide Mo was just the right blend of fun and organised everything went really well and we had some nice relaxing music on the drive back to our accommodation.

Atlas Mountain Family Excursion
Abdel was a spectacular tour guide who speaks great English. He grew up in a Berber village so his knowledge of the Berber culture was deep and authentic. He also provided us with knowledge about Moroccan culture, food, history, education and government. The views of the valleys and mountains on the tour were great. Our family of 4 enjoyed Moroccan tea by the river, the hike in the mountains and the delicious multi-course meal at a local Berber house. We highly recommend this tour with Abdel!

Once-in-a-lifetime experience, thank you!!
My group of 4 had an amazing time on this tour. We had tour guide Ali and driver Ayoub. Both guides made us feel incredibly safe, welcome, and informed. Ali even went out of his way to give extra suggestions on places to visit and things to do post tour, as well as calling our Airbnb host when we were confused on the location and check in directions of our apartment. Absolutely stellar hospitality.
The demographic of people going on this tour is college-aged students, so keep that in mind if you are wanting to travel with peers or people your age (we also went around spring break time so that might’ve contributed to that). The stops along the way were beautiful as well. Food was also good and a good mix of trying new Moroccan cuisine as well as having some foods we were comfortable with (fries, oranges, noodles, etc.) It could be helpful to bring your own snacks for the bus rides, but I don’t think it’s necessary as there are stops along the way that offer snacks at a reasonable price (usually takes cash only though).
I suggest bringing around 200 MAD with you. It will be needed for 2 meals as well as any snacks or souvenirs you want along the way (& tipping).
The hotel was a great experience as well. You will want to bring your own shower soap though.
Camping the second night was also a great experience, I was so tired I fell right asleep. Be very sure to go get breakfast that next morning as soon as it opens, or else it will run out, as they want you all to be on time for the sunrise.
Overall this was an absolutely incredible, once in a lifetime opportunity, and I am so grateful to Ali and Ayoub for making the experience all the better. Thank you for such an awesome time.

Tour guide Oussama was...
Tour guide Oussama was great at showing us around the area and giving us information about the souks and medina.
He offered advice regarding bartering which was great fully received.
He catered the tour to our interests and what we'd like to see. Highly recommend

book it
It was a fun time with multiple
experiences: camel ride, quad ride, and plenty of a good dinner. The music was a cultural experience with the musicians including the audience in the fun. The fire entertainer was impressive and there were some fireworks at the end. The guide was a great communicator, he let us know what to expect. He also looked out for us, as we were the two oldest (by far) women on the tour. He even recorded the fireworks for us because we were too short to see.
FYI they will not be picking up at your hotel as stated. You will meet at a hotel on the main road.

Zedan and the team are fantastic!!!
The experience itself was fabulous! Zedan and everyone at the base were brilliant! We had the most fun out on the quads with photo stops and Zedan took lots of photos!!
The transport to the experience which is provided was not the most pleasant. The driver told us a time the night before then arrived early expecting us to be ready and harrasing us by continually phoning. On return, we were dumped in front of the hotel on the main road.

Mohammed is absolutely fantastic
First of all meeting was very easy we had a watsapp from Mohammed and met him at cafe de France it’s a very popular place very easy to find
Mohammed introduced himself and he asked us what we would more like to see which I thought was very thoughtful
We began our tour as he explained his role and obviously being tourists our haggling skills have to be earned so Mohammed stepped in for us on many occasions and he was absolutely fantastic I’ve done a few of these tours before and he was by far the best the most involved the most knowledgeable helpful with haggling and giving us helpful information on how to not get ripped off I know we don’t mind to pay bigger prices as tourists but it does become very tedious when it’s a constant haggle over £300 for something that is £5
We had a lot to see and Mohammed showed us as much as possible
His English is really good too so it was very easy to communicate
We all enjoyed the tour and I would most definitely recommend his guide for sure
He knew everyone in the markets and he even took us to a fantastic coffee place and we had lovely coffee and tea
Then at the end of our tour we finished at nomad restaurant definitely worth a visit
Once we left the restaurant we was without Mohammed and we got lost on the way out so please take a guide you will spend too much time getting lost in there it literally is a maze and the tour is a very good price considering the guide is fantastic

Fun times on mama camels
The driver Abdl, Jonas the tour guide were very professional and kind. We had a good time hearing about the local perspectives about the country. The tour is in the desert and you’re invited to someone’s home for food. Our host was also very welcoming and very generous with the serving. We were given Berber attire for the tour, which was worn over our clothes. We road two camels and there was a young baby camel that joined the trip as well. This was our first time doing something like this so, definitely a great memory for the books.

Great time on the quads
We booked last minute in the morning and there was a bit of confusion on pick-up as our booking email went to the tour operator's spam, but it was quickly sorted when we sent a support message.
My son and I had a great time on the quads despite the wet weather (January 2025)! We were first timers on quads but they were easy to handle.
Great fun and thoroughly recommend!

Amazing day!
Ait Ben Haddou made a strong impression right from the start. The fortified city is over a thousand years old, and the clay and mud architecture has held up remarkably well over time. Wandering through the clay alleys with our Berber guide, Bakhta (spellcheck needed), gave the whole site a sense of real life and history, and the climb to the top paid off with grand desert views.
During the tour we learned how many movies had been filmed there over the years, from Lawrence of Arabia to Gladiator. Even The Odyssey was shooting there this past February, a fun surprise for a film fan.
We also stopped by a local Berber co-op where the women make and sell handwoven rugs. It was a low-pressure visit, more about seeing the craft up close than a hard sell, and it added a nice personal touch to the day. One thing worth mentioning: there are plenty of stairs and uneven paths, and parts of the walk may be tough for anyone with mobility issues.
We came from Marrakech, about a three hour drive through the mountains. It is a long ride, but the views keep it interesting. It doesn’t hurt to have a few podcasts downloaded for the road if that’s your style.
In short, I would recommend, movie dork or not!
