We had an unforgettable day with our guide redouane The excursion was beautiful, the organization was really good and we made great discoveries throughout the day (breakfast and visit of the argan oil factory association, camel ride, hiking in the valleys , waterfall, typical lunch in the Berber village .. everything was perfect and Redouane was very available to us, with lots of explanations about the different places and their history.
I recommended this tour

Great variety of experiences for a day tour! Our guide, Issmail, was so friendly and made the tour very interesting. We enjoyed the hike and visiting the Berber communities. It was a nice contrast to the pace in Marrakech for a day.

Really great day, lots of fun, good food and the camel ride was hilarious. Hiking to the waterfall was interesting too.
Vicky_C, Apr 2026
The excursion was amazing! We traveled as a family with our two sons (aged 6 and 8). Our tour guide Redouane was very informative, helpful and very passionate about his village on the Atlas mountains, his people and where he is from. We all enjoyed the hike to the waterfalls and the lunch on the rooftop was lovely! Both our sons loved the camel ride too! Highly recommend this tour operator and Redouane.

Really enjoyed getting out into the mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech. Tour was just the right amount of stops. The Berber lunch was lovely and very tasty. Loved the dromedary ride! Guide was great too. Forgot to mention on the booking to be paired with friends, so were on a different bus!

Issmail was our tour guide. He went over and beyond what we expected or anticipated. He allowed us to visit the sites and complete the activities and at a relaxed and enjoyable pace. We did so many things on this activity and every place we visited was wonderful. It also helped that our group was small and we were a perfect match with the others who attended. The visit to the Berber villages was one of the highlights of our trips. We could not have conceptualized the heartfelt affect this tour had on us. We'll be back Morocco. Thank you for being so great to us during our visit. Definitely left our heart there.

Simple day to see the sights. Pick up was coordinated easily. Comfortable transport. Lunch was actually pretty good

We took a private tour to the Atlas Mountains. Issmail our driver had excellent English and we learnt a lot about his peoples traditional way of life. It was great to hear it first hand. We did a camel ride which was a bit of fun. Then we headed into the heart of the mountains and met a local man, Mohammed who guided us up the mountains to a waterfall. It’s a medium grade walk, good footwear essential. Dinner at a local restaurant, chicken tangeine was as authentic as u could get, followed by cake and tea. Fantastic day, worthy of 5 stars.

This was a pleasant tour, I can't say a great tour because I had more expectations. When I read the title, I was thinking about seeing a lot more ... From all the pictures from the tour presentation, a special one got my attention and convinced me to choose this tour: it was that picture with a village above some green terraces (it was told me that the village is Imlil). I asked to have the chance to see and make the same photo, but I got dissapointed. The place we have been leaded was not showing us the same image...
Fatima was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. The only thing she was missing was the energy. I think a guide must share more interesting informations to get our attention, otherwise we don't know what to ask exactly because we didn't know much about the region. Otherwise she answered all of our questions.
The local food was absolutely great.
The hike to the waterfall was not strenous at all, it was more like a pleasant walk in the forest. We were prepared for a longer hike and maybe to see some more valleys and waterfalls.
The camel ride was nice, but compared to the camel ride from the desert (as we did at Merzouga) is not so wow.
Overall this tour was a pleasant tour. If you want to have a relaxed day and see a waterfall, a mountain village, ride a camel and eat local food, this is definetely a good tour. For my personal oppinion, I might have chosen another thing to see instead of this.

We had an amazing time on this excursion. The itinerary was thoughtfully put together, giving us the chance to explore a bustling local market, visit a traditional Berber village, enjoy a fun camel ride, and learn about argan oil production with some welcome refreshments along the way. The highlight was the walk in the Atlas Mountains, where we saw beautiful waterfalls and took in some incredible scenery.
Our guide, Redouane, truly made the experience special. He was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. He shared great insights about the culture and history of the area and kept the group engaged throughout the day. Everything ran smoothly, and we felt well taken care of from start to finish. I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable day trip.

Special thanks to Redouane for being a gracious, kind, and knowledgeable tour guide! This tour was an amazing experience all around and I can tell he truly cares about the travelers joining him. Great communication and staying right on schedule. The view of the Atlas Mountains was truly remarkable, as well as taking part in the local culture and the camel ride. I highly recommend signing up for this excursion for a peaceful and serene escape out of the city. Thank you to Mohamed also for being a great driver and getting us to our destinations safely. All the best!

This was a lovely day trip out of and break from Marrakech. The villages were interesting and the hike, though short, was more challenging and interesting than expected. Great views and another perspective.
Damaris_D, Feb 2026
We had an excellent experience with Mohamed (our driver) and Mustafa (our tour guide). Both were extremely professional, reliable, and communicated with us clearly and promptly throughout the trip. The pick-up and drop-off service from our hotel was perfectly organised and always on time, which made everything completely stress-free.
Mustafa was truly amazing — caring, funny, and very attentive, making the whole day feel enjoyable and relaxed. Our excursion to the Atlas Mountains was so much fun and an unforgettable experience. We visited four different valleys, and although it wasn’t exactly what we initially expected, the overall experience was incredible and absolutely worth it.
After our hiking trip, we also had a lovely lunch — the food was absolutely delicious and everything was impeccable. It was the perfect way to end such a great day.
We truly recommend both Mohamed and Mustafa to anyone visiting Morocco. They made the entire experience smooth, memorable, and special from start to finish.

Fantastic views! Great stop locations. Very knowledgeable guides. Great day out.
Oldest Village in Mountains is a view of it from the other hill. Camel ride is great. Breakfast at the Argon Oil shop is good. Waterfall is….. large waterfall.
Note: Waterfall walk is NOT easy!!!! Lunch for 7€ is a traditional Tagine - must have! It was beautiful and worth it! Served with water, starters, bread and biscuit.

The tour was a great tour led by two guides, Aziz and Mohammad, that started by stopping in a Berber village then a camel ride. From there we stopped to have a traditional Moroccan breakfast in another village and traveling through some valleys on our way up to the Toubkal Ascent trail to the second tallest mountain in Africa in Imlil. After looking at a local waterfall there in Imlil; we had a traditional lunch of chicken tangine and made our way back towards Marrakech. Great tour and tour guides on my personal tour that was along side of a couple of other groups with other guides. I highly recommend this tour to understand things outside of Morocco’s bigger cities.

Great Guide, Loved the tour, Especially the short hike up the mountain,.Seeing Argon oil made and Breakfast!
david_d, Jan 2026
Fantastic Valleys of the Atlas tour with stops at argan cooperative, traditional ceramic workshop, a short trek with waterfall views, and a delicious local lunch.
Our driver and guide were truly exceptional — professional, friendly and always attentive.
Highly recommended for a complete and authentic Atlas experience from Marrakech!
Jodi_C, Dec 2025
unfortunately this trip was cancelled after the 1st stop at the argon shop, so no mountains no waterfall no camels no berber village. this was due to weather conditions which is understandable but i feel we should have been refunded.
they said they could offer us a discount next week but noone would still be there next week
it would have been a lovely trip, nice guides and a good bus on safe roads but it should have been cancelled or refunded

It was a fantastic day trekking the Atlas, visiting local villages. Our guide, Yassine, was knowledgeable and helpful. We particularly enjoyed visiting his family home to have tea and snacks. Lunch on the rooftop with a majestic view of the mountains is hard to beat!

We had an excellent tour with Issmail today very informative and helpful throughout the day. Would highly recommend.

The best trip I have done in Marrakesh. Our guide Samira was wonderful. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the Atlas Mountains but she was welcoming, friendly, caring and supportive. She took great care of myself and three friends ( all mature ladies! ) ensuring we had the best trip and were in safe hands. The stops were fantastic and the lunch was delicious. Great views, comfortable transport and a really fun small group.
CarmeloIsmaele_P, Nov 2025
This tour consisted of: 1) stop at a view point 2) 20’ camel ride wearing traditional costumes 3) stop at a women cooperative to experience how argan oil is made and try bread served with hamlou, argan oil and olive oil 4) 1h hike to a small waterfall 5) optional lunch (extra charge - 7€). Enjoyable day to escape the hustle and bustle of the Medina. Watch out: do not carry expectations with regards to explanation on what you doo/see.

The description of the tour doesn't explain a lot so here was our full itinerary:
The night before the tour they messaged on WhatsApp with the meeting location. This location was different than the original one that I picked for the tour but it was within a 10 minute walk.
The day of the tour we met Issmail and Ibrehaim at the stop with no problems. It was a sprinter van with 12 people total. We drove about an hour into the mountains with one scenic stop on the way for pictures as Issmail explained the region and history of the people. We then went to the camel rides (there were bathrooms there) where they wrapped our heads in scarves first. The ride was about 20 minutes and we went in a big loop behind the tent where they could take pictures of us with the village in the background.
We left the camels around 11:00 and drove to a village where we had a Berber breakfast of bread, some dips, and tea. Then they showed us how argan oil is made and we were able to shop for some argan oil products. We left there around 12:00 and went to another scenic spot where there was a stand to buy water and snacks (Note: no water was provided on the tour. Bring your own!). We left there around 1pm and drove to another village where a third guide (Hamid) took us on a two hour hike to a waterfall and back. My mother has mobility issues and they took her right to the lunch spot where she waited for us. The hike was great but it was more than I was prepared for. Bring good shoes and hiking clothes.
At the village we ate lunch of rice, chicken tagine (delicious!) and tea and cookies. We left the restaurant after 4pm and got back to Marrakech around 6.
Overall a really good tour. Just gave it a 4 because of the pick up location change, the vagueness of the tour description and that no water was given during the tour even though it said drinks would be provided (I guess they just meant tea)

Beautiful day in the Atlas mountains and valleys, I highly recommend taking this tour!
Our guide Mustapha was excellent, friendly and welcoming, making sure everyone was having a great experience.
Since this guide is from the area, he knows the most scenic stops, and it was a pure pleasure doing this, away from Marrakech's busy streetlife.
Lovely stop for breakfast, great views at lunch, safe driver, part of the drive is the carchase-route in the movie Mission Impossible 5, very scenic!
Do take sturdy shoes, it's a proper trek in parts to the waterfall, beautiful grounds!
Camelride on a gorgeous open plain at the end of the tour, it's a varied day out!
I highly recommend, and the guide Mustapha did a great job, thank you for a day to remember!

We had the most wonderful tour with Mohamed. He took us all around and the day was wonderful. The lunch at the village was spectacular. The views were beautiful as well. We also loved our hike with Rashid. The waterfall was gorgeous and Rashid taught us a lot about the area and the culture.

Guide was great, a true local. The food was amazing and the views were stunning. Waterfall was refreshing and plant life vibrant
Peter_R, Nov 2025
Fantastic day out . Driver was informative and fun and safe .
Walking guide was also great , although he did think we were 20 year old mountain goats rather than in our 60 s!
5 stars to both . Definitely recommend .

Asmea was really friendly and answered any questions we had. The day was really well planned and the driver did a great job. Breakfast and lunch were great. Met some lovely people. Would book it again 😊
