Definitely the experience of a lifetime. It is amazing to fly above the beautiful fields of the countryside and see all of the other balloons in the air. That might be the most amazing part! Our guide was great and very informative about the land around us. Absolutely breathtaking! And the coffee and breakfast they provide afterward is off the chart!

This experience was absolutely amazing! My best friend and I went for my birthday and it was breathtaking. It wasn’t scary or bumpy at all. Also bring cash, the drone video they offer is worth every dime 🥰.

The Hot Air Balloon Flight over Marrakech was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip and absolutely worth the early wake-up call.
The flight itself was incredibly smooth, peaceful, and surprisingly relaxing. Floating quietly above the Moroccan countryside at sunrise was breathtaking, and the views were unforgettable. Our pilot was friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable throughout the flight.
One thing that surprised me was just how much heat you feel when the pilot fires the burner. Every time the flame ignited, you could really feel the blast of hot air overhead—something I hadn't expected, but it quickly became part of the experience.
The landing was a little bumpy and admittedly a bit scary at first, but the pilot handled it well, and we landed safely. It definitely added a little excitement to an otherwise serene flight!
The only downside was the wait afterward. After the flight and traditional breakfast, we ended up waiting quite a while for our tour guide/driver to be ready to leave, which made the morning feel longer than necessary.
Overall, this was a beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime experience that I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech. Watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon is something I'll never forget.

Started the morning with breakfast and then watched the sunrise while in the hot air balloon. It was an amazing sight to see. We were given a safety brief and I felt safe the entire trip. Highly recommend!!

A warm welcoming starting with an authentic breakfast, followed by an amazing experience within the Hot Air Balloon. Our captain Abdelaziz with Marrekech Dream Ballooning, was very knowledgeable and experienced. Definitely worth doing!

This was an amazing experience, that was truly memorable. We were picked up by Aziz, who was also the pilot. He was really friendly and informative. He is clearly very knowledgeable and saftey conscious. (I found it reassuring when he layer said he's also a physics teacher. 😁)

Very good service from collection to flight. If you're in a place for the first time collection is a worry, clear map sent and messages from the company, so really easy process. Coffee when you arrive, then the balloon is readied and off you go. Flight was excellent, I was worried about the sheer number of balloon flights but you only see the others in the distance and it doesn't detract at all.
The flight was great with loads of information from the captain Ismael.
There are loads of companies, similar price etc.. but our biggest worry was that being collected would be a nightmare in a city you've never been to before, but they made it really easy

This hot air balloon experience was absolutely spectacular — 10 out of 10! Everything was exceptionally well organized from start to finish. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind, and we felt safe throughout the entire experience.
The views were breathtaking and unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Our pilot, Othman’s, was entertaining, engaging, and kept everyone smiling throughout the flight. He made the experience even more memorable, and honestly, everyone involved was fabulous.
This was, without question, the best experience of our entire trip. It was peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly special. We would absolutely do it again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech. A truly unforgettable experience!

I booked the balloon flight with my husband for our 40th anniversary. I had done it before a couple of times elsewhere and really enjoyed it.
We got to the site and had some tea, then were told to come out to the balloon. The ad said 18 people maximum, but over 20 were already on board. Four compartments had 6 people, and there was one compartment with three VERY large people in it. We were told to get into that compartment. There simply wasn’t room for us both. Two other balloons seemed to possibly have more room, but I was told I needed to get into that compartment. I was not offered any other choice.
I told my husband to go and that I would stay because it just didn’t feel comfortable or safe squashed in so tightly. No one from the company said a word to me, and I didn’t get loud or aggravated because I didn’t want to ruin anyone else’s trip. My husband went up while I stayed on the ground and took pictures.
The food was mediocre at best. It was mostly carbs and some fruit. I had one olive, a small pancake with honey, and a bottle of water.
Worst booking ever and no refund. Book with the company directly (I would avoid Marrakech Dream Ballooning), and make SURE that you will have room for everyone (the compartments seem to be designed for 4 people, maybe 5 smaller adults.

Early start but everything works smoothly. Easy pick up process, not a long drive and all is as per the online photos. Not as scary as I thought it might be. We also did the drone footage addition and the video clips looks pretty cool. Once in lifetime experience, worth doing. traditional breakfast afterwards was amazing and v nice gentleman hosting breakfast and tea was very friendly and funny and included everyone and made us all feel welcome 🙏 met loads of new people and got to know them over food and drives. There is a brief snack before and a bigger breakfast afterwards. It was a very awe inspiring experience. Left me speechless. No photo could capture the depth of my feelings, but I did get some fantastic photos!

A complete waste of our time. We were told we were to be picked up at 4:30/ 5 am and we were ready. We then got a message from the driver saying that he is sorry but he cannot make it. So we were left behind and stranded at 5am without doing this experience. Very unprofessional and would not recommend to anyone unless they want to risk being stranded at 5am

The flight was canceled due to operational circumstances beyond our control, and unfortunately transportation could not proceed as scheduled. We understand how frustrating it must have been to be awake and prepared early in the morning only to have your plans disrupted.
While cancellations are sometimes unavoidable in aviation activities where safety is the highest priority, we regret that the communication and arrangements did not meet your expectations. If I could give zero stars I would!
Disappointing that our balloon flight was cancelled the day before the trip, however we were informed we could go the following day.
We had to change all our plans and then were informed the following day it was again cancelled. Therefore no balloon trip!
Incredibly dissapointing as this was planned for a wedding anniversary trip and we’d passed up other companies to book through Viator!

Unfortunately, the suspension of balloon operations was a government decision that affected all operators in the region and was completely beyond our control.
While we understand your disappointment, especially after traveling to Marrakech for this experience, the permits and flight authorizations are issued by the authorities, and operators must fully comply with their decisions for safety and regulatory reasons.

Didn’t give 1 star because the issue wasn’t their fault, however communication was very poor. To start, we didn’t find out our 4-4:30am pick up time and location until 5pm the night before our scheduled trip. Then we received another message at 7pm and told our flight was cancelled so we had to reschedule - the reason they gave was due to order of the local authorities. They rescheduled us to the next day, which we were happy to do. Then, we were cancelled again the night before the rescheduled flight, with no option to reschedule at all. The reason this time was they had not received the permit from the authorities. When I asked if we could reschedule again, or if they could action a refund, I received no reply. Instead, I contacted a few other providers to see if they had capacity for us to use them, who advised me that the authorities had asked all balloon operators to temporarily pause their flights until further notice and they did not know when this would change. As a result, I had to contact Viator via an online chat to launch a refund request. As the booking was not rescheduled on Viator, I had to send all the screenshots of the WhatsApp messages to support the request. Fully aware it isn’t the operators who caused the problem, however I shouldn’t have needed to other providers to find out what the problem was and do discover it was unlikely we’d be able to reschedule during our week in Marrakesh. Very disappointed we couldn’t do the trip, but understand it’s not the operators fault. Poor communication really didn’t help.

Fantastic experience! Glad we chose this company over the many others offering balloon rides.
The take off site is some way away from the others which from we where looked like they were all crammed close together. We were first up in the air and were able to watch all of the others rise. The take off location offers views of the other balloons in the middle distance, the mountains in the far distance and the sun rising from behind them which made for great photographs.
We had tea and cake on arrival and a huge breakfast afterwards, would definitely do this again and recommend it to anyone.

If your doing a hot air balloon ride, these people are the people to use was reasonably priced and everything from Abdel the driver to.the pilot was fantastic. The sunrise amd balloon experience were a bucket list experience. If you thinking about doing it, do it !!!

Great trip. Very smooth and professional from start to finish. Also felt very safe during the balloon trip, all the equipment was in very good order. Very good breakfast served over by excellent staff. We once again we felt like valued customers. Worth paying extra for the video but could be better prepared for when the drone appears in front of the balloon, we didn’t quite realise that we were the ones on camera, would have been more animated if we had known. It’s a great video but we looked a little bit incidental. Overall though a great trip. Thank you.

This experience was the highlight of my Marrakesh trip! Very well organised, our driver was fantastic and had great communication -
Clean mini van with a small group which definitely helped with the 4:30am pick up. The hot air balloon staff were fab, ensured everyone’s safety and also very informative. Stunning views from above and photo opportunities. Staff there to help with getting in and out of the basket and a delicious breakfast to finish! Definitely worth the 4am wake up!

Aziz, our driver and tour guide was kind, knowledgeable, and engaging, which made the early morning experience even more enjoyable. The hot air balloon ride at sunrise was absolutely beautiful: exciting, peaceful, and unforgettable all at once. Watching the landscape from above as the sun came up was truly special.
After the ride, the breakfast was a light but perfect way to end the morning, and the fresh fruit was especially delicious. Transportation to and from the site was also very comfortable.

Amazing experience! The team at Dream Ballooning made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. From the timely pickup, to the warm welcome at the base, and the amazing traditional Moroccan breakfast, everything was very well organized.
The flight itself with our pilot Aziz was fantastic. The sunrise scenery was absolutely incredible and made for a truly memorable experience. The hospitality throughout was exceptional, and Mohamed was quite the character and added to the fun atmosphere.
Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Morocco!

This was a fantastic experience. There were only 6 of us plus pilot in the basket compared to much larger amounts of people in some of the others. You are taken to a place for a hot drink and cake mainly so they can try and sell you a video of your experience. Personally I would have like to have had a link to the video prior so I could have taken a proper look instead of being put on the spot. You are then driven to your balloon. I have to say the negative point was that we booked this as a sunrise experience which we missed as balloon was not ready, they had had to move it because of the wind. After the trip you are then taken for breakfast which was good. Would I book it again, yes as there were less people in the balloon but would have liked to have been in the air for the sunrise.
