Definitely the experience of a lifetime. It is amazing to fly above the beautiful fields of the countryside and see all of the other balloons in the air. That might be the most amazing part! Our guide was great and very informative about the land around us. Absolutely breathtaking! And the coffee and breakfast they provide afterward is off the chart!

LOVED this experience! We had an excellent balloon ride! I would highly recommend, however BOOK WITH ALTERNATIVE COMPANY (NOT VIATOR). We found out that we paid more than double what others on the same tour paid because we booked through Viator.

It was difficult to make initial contact with the tour operator. We wanted to confirm the pickup time and whether the activity would take place (as the weather was not great), but the tour operator did not reply to any of my emails or phone calls. After contacting Viator directly, I finally received a reply.
Then our original tour date was canceled due to bad weather. We received the information at 9pm the night before. Earlier notice would have been better, as we did not know whether we would be picked up the next day. This seemed rather last-minute.
We were supposed to have the 6am pickup for the sunrise flight. We were given an alternate day and time (7am pickup), which we accepted but later regretted.
The experience was not the same as it would have been on the original sunrise flight. The tour operator should better organize these groups and deliver what the client actually pays for. I understand that safety is a priority, but organization is also important. However, being in Marrakech for a short time, we really did not have much choice if we wanted this activity and had to settle for less.
The flight itself was only 30-40 minutes, but we were informed it would be 60 minutes.
After the flight, our pilot gave us a link to view the photos he had taken, but when I clicked it, I could not access any photos.
While overall an interesting experience, it was definitely not the experience of a lifetime. A bit disappointing for a first-time hot air balloon ride.

Regarding the rescheduled flight, the 7am option was offered as the sunrise flight was already fully booked, and this alternative was accepted accordingly. While we always aim to maintain schedules and organization, weather conditions and operational constraints can sometimes require adjustments.
Flight duration in hot air ballooning is approximate and depends on real-time weather conditions to ensure a safe landing. Our team always prioritizes safety over timing or logistics to provide the safest possible experience.
We regret that the experience did not fully meet your expectations, but all decisions were made with your safety and well-being in mind.

Marvellous experience of seeing the sunrise from the balloon with beautiful views of the Moroccan plains surrounded by mountains and other balloons.

There are plenty of companies to choose from, but truly, look no further. This experience was one for the record books and honestly hard to put into words.
Our first attempt didn’t take off because the pilot was concerned about weather conditions, even though we could see other balloons already in the air. Instead of rushing, he exercised extreme caution, which we deeply appreciated given the nature of the activity. We were immediately offered either a refund or the option to return another day, and we chose to try again.
It was absolutely worth the wait. Floating up in the clouds was surreal, peaceful, magical, and unforgettable. The experience was perfectly paired with a top‑notch soundtrack that made the moment even more emotional and cinematic.
The pilot’s skill was on full display, especially during the landing, he landed directly onto the back of the transport vehicle rather than the ground, which was incredibly cool to witness. To top it all off, we received certificates, photos, and professional videos to commemorate the moment.
Truly a magical experience from start to finish. HIGHLY recommend!

Driver was right on time, got us there promptly, we had a coffee while they got balloons ready, we got in and we were off to watch the sunrise, an incredible view, was up there for around 45 mins to an hour, we had a great guy driving the balloon, are landing was smooth and gentle, we had a lovely Moroccan breakfast and more coffee (pick is at 5:45am and I was up at 4:45am to get ready so coffee is very necessary!) we got a cute certificate as souvenir and you can pay to have a drone follow
Your ride and they’ll send you a video, all very fun, easy and worth it!

We did a hot air balloon ride on Saturday, March 28th, and it turned out to be such a memorable experience!
We were picked up by our driver, Otmane—who we later found out was also going to be our balloon pilot. The drive to the launch site was short and easy, which made the early start much more manageable. While waiting for the balloon to be prepared, we were served traditional Moroccan tea and sponge cake, which was a really nice touch and helped set a relaxed tone for the morning.
Once the balloon was ready, we climbed (more like jumped!) into the basket. Before takeoff, Otmane gave a clear and reassuring explanation of the landing procedures, and we even practiced the landing position—which definitely helped calm some nerves.
I’ll be honest—I was very scared at first. But once we were in the air, the experience became incredibly peaceful, calm, and relaxing. It was a cloudy morning, so visibility of the landscape below wasn’t great, and it wasn’t the best day for photos. However, Otmane took us above the clouds to watch the sunrise, and that made everything worth it. It was absolutely beautiful and felt like something out of a dream.
The landing was smooth and well-handled, which was a perfect end to the flight.
After we landed, we were treated to a traditional Moroccan breakfast in a tent, which was a wonderful and authentic way to finish the experience.
Overall, it was a fun and unique experience that I would love to do again. The company also offers a video of your experience—I highly recommend purchasing it, as it’s a fantastic way to relive the moment.

Very dissatisfied. Got to event and seemed to wait ages. Then taken to where we were supposed to get into balloon and saw lots of balloons taking off and in the air but were told we couldn’t do it because it was too windy. Must gave been 30 balloons in the air and Just our 2 balloons not taking off. Then more balloons took off after ours had been packed away. Complete waste of time.

Please allow us to clarify that the decision not to fly was made at the last moment by our Chief Pilot, whose top priority is always the safety of our guests and crew. While it may have appeared that conditions were suitable, weather conditions — particularly wind speed and direction — can vary significantly even within short distances and change very quickly.
At the time of departure, our Chief Pilot observed that the wind was beginning to pick up beyond the safe operational limits for our specific balloons and landing area. For this reason, the difficult decision was made to cancel the flight. Although other balloons may have taken off earlier or operated in slightly different areas, each pilot is responsible for making their own safety assessment based on their balloon, passengers, and landing conditions.
We completely understand that this was disappointing, especially after seeing other balloons in the air, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and the time you spent waiting. However, safety will always remain our highest priority, and we would never proceed with a flight if there is any potential risk.

This was a very well organised and fun experience. We were picked up at 5.10am (early but worth it!) by our driver Nourdine who was lovely. He looked after us during the experience. He then drove us all to the balloon site where we had mint tea and cake.
When the time came, you could see the balloons being inflated and we were then taken to ours. I think they hold about 19 people so the baskets are fairly big, but they’re split into sections (there were 5 of us in our section). It can be a bit undignified getting in, but people will help you.
The flight was beautiful and so peaceful and you can see the sunrise. When the time came to land, our pilot initially did a very smooth landing but then decided it wasn’t a good place for it (I presume because of the terrain and possible risk of damage to the balloon envelope) so took off again and ended up flying over the river and landing there. The second landing was a bit bumpier, but fine. But to get us out they ended up tipping the basket on its side (so even less dignified getting out 🤣). We then had to walk back to the minibus by crossing the river (which was dry!).
Then came a typical Berber breakfast before we were dropped back to our original meeting point.
Overall, I would say this is an experience not to be missed and it will live in my memory for a long time.

Hot air balloon was great but whole experience ruined by terrible transfer to and from activity.
Driver drove dangerously (speeding and overtaking unnecessarily), played his own music very loud and didn’t speak to us other than turning round occasionally and shouting ‘No sleeping!’ ?? This wasn’t the peaceful 5am pick up we had hoped for.
More than once, the driver pulled over, or even just stopped in middle of the road, and got out to talk to some friend in another vehicle. We were just left alone in the van with his music blasting.
Given we spent almost 2 hours in this van, it’s fair to say this ruined this experience for us. I have complained to the tour operator and they refused to offer any sort of compensation. A disappointing experience all round.
I do suggest booking this tour for the great hot air balloon experience but just know that the drive to and from could be terrible.

Do not expect a good photography service in this place. We were offered the add-on service which came to be below standard, even acknowledged by our baloon pilot. The photographer (Ussef) offered us to send a video as a gift, with no extra payment. Never received a video after several follow ups. Bad experience.

Absolutely amazing experience to do in Morocco. A once in a lifetime bucket list item, we had the best time. Our driver picked us up from a super close location given our riad was not accessible by car. Worth the early start as our views were magnificent. This is one experience not to miss even if you have been on a balloon before. The people working for this company were the friendliest and most helpful starting with our driver, Aziz, who managed to get jackets and blankets for the young couple who didn’t come prepared at all for the cold. The personnel welcoming us and serving us breakfast was also delightful, not to mention our balloon pilot! The 360 degree view from the air was stunning with snow capped mountains.

Be ready to land in mud and get dirty. I don’t believe our balloon pilot should have taken off in weather that was poor and rainy. Visibility was horrible. Not sure why the pilot decided to crash land in a mud field and narrowly missing a fence and power lines. I have pictures to prove it. Be aware!!!!
