Informative and enjoyable tour of Marrakech

My friend and I had a great private tour of Marrakech! Mohammed was informative and engaging, we met him at the first location of the tour which was easy for us to locate, tour started on time, and lasted about 3.5 hours. Only thing is there is no food included as stated in the description, and we had to pay around €7 entry to the palace gardens, even though it says on the description that entry to sights is included. However this was not the fault of our guide, and the tour was excellent

Highly recommend if you're visiting Marrakech for the first time. Our guide Rachid was great, very knowledgeable, patient and helped us navigate the small alleys if the Souk, which are extremely easy to get lost and turned around in.

Trip to the Medina

We did a trip with Omar through the Medina. We enjoyed the trip. It was as expected. Omar showed us our way round the Medina took us through the markets and recommended some places to shop/eat. Nice to have a guide. I think we may have got lost otherwise!

Not a good time !

We have traveled with Viator for the last 10 years and never had such a terrible experience. We did not get to see the most important Marrakesh sights- the Bahia palace, Madrassa .. it felt like a shopping expedition and we were completely bummed ! Not what we signed up for !

A great introduction to Marrakech

Our guide Jaafar gave us a great overview of the city, including some history. He brought us through the many winding streets,markets, and Bahia Palace. He was very friendly, helpful and professional.

It was extremely disappointing because we have hired a private tour guide to see the city but we saw only one Riad and we’re taken to 3 selling/shopping speeches. I did not hire a shopping guide but a tour guide to see the hidden gems but saw none. False advertising! Please tell your guide what you want to see and make sure they take you there otherwise they will waste an hour of your time to see if you are interested in buying 4000$ rug.

Our guide (Ganni) did not take us to any of the destinations outlined under the "Overview" and "What to Expect." We did not go to Bab Agnaou, Mellah, Palacio de Bahia, or Le Jardin Secret. Also, under "Overview" it says that this price includes "no hidden costs." However, our guide took us to the Museum of Confluences and made us pay entrance tickets on-site, and we just paid the front desk in cash. Instead of going to the places that we were supposed to go to, the guide took us to souks, a pharmacy, a carpet store, and passed by the Koutobia (mosque).

Med gave us a wonderful tour of Marrakech. I was with my father, who is 78 years old, and he did an excellent job of pacing the day to meet our needs. I would recommend this experience to anyone who is looking for a unique tour of Marrekech and the medina.

It was our first trip to Marrakech. We opted for the tour on our first day. Its definitely a good way to navigate this colourful, lively and vibrant city. We enjoyed our tour through Marrakech, and our guide, Redouan, was very helpful and accommodating. He had thorough and vast knowledge about the Moroccan history and the various landmarks /attractions. The tour was pleasant, and Redouan made sure that we were comfortable throughout the trip. Hidden Gems Tour

Ouidad our guide was wonderful 5 stars to her and the tour was good except we were taken to a pharmacy to see an Argan oil demonstration and then had to sit through an hour of the owner showing all his ointments and products . We did not think this was appropriate , we did not like the owner and felt he kept pressuring us to buy ointments and products . We spent $100 that was a waste of money just to get out . This was not listed as part of the tour and we missed seeing other important sites . We think the pharmacy is a local travel agency or has some relationship with Viator . Also the tour is way overpriced relative to other tour guides . We do not recommend the tour but Ouidad the tour guide is fabulous !

Mohammad is a fantastic tour guide. He tailored our visit according to our needs. Our children were hungry, so we made a stop for some food in Jema El Fenna. He showed us hidden areas inside the Medina. We went to the madrasah as well as a secret garden. He gave us cool tips regarding our trip from Marrakesh to Casablanca I will highly recommend him for any family, wanting to know more about the history and culture of Marrakesh

My guide was a regular historian with deep knowledge of Moroccan and and religious history combined with an invitation to customize my experience based upon my interest was a perfect recipe for success. I enjoyed the tour and sharing an avocado smoothie with my guide near the end of the tour.

Terrible value for money/dishonest guide

The tour was supposed to be 4 hours but the guide (short-named Ganni) finished it in 2 hours. Half of the time he took us to various shops to buy things so he could earn commissions. I paid for £100 for me and my daughter for this tour which was supposed to include entrance tickets to some sites such as the secret garden. But he didn’t take us into any of them. Stay away from this company. It’s not value for money at all.

Can’t think of a better way to see Marrakech than with a friendly, knowledgeable and fun local guide that takes you places both on and off the beaten path. My guide Omar was perfect, adapting our route on the fly per my specific interests, giving me a taste of special foods locals enjoy and giving me insight into what living in Marrakech is like. Highly recommended!

Wonderful walking tour.

My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon walking the Medina with Aimad. Aimad was a wonderful guide and a real wealth of local information. We did this tour on our first day in Marakkech and felt so much more confident approaching the city the following days after getting the "lay of the land" with him. Aimad took us to the Bahia Palace and he knew so much about the history, we learned so much seeing it with him. Lastly, I told him I would like to buy pure argan oil and ask if he could recommend a shop of good quality. He took me to an amazing local pharmacy and the pharmacist gave me a demonstration of how he makes the oil. I never would have found this shop, down several maze like alleyways, with out him. Thank you Aimad for sharing your home with us. 5+ stars to you!

Adil was an amazing host, he was very knowledgeable, funny and took great care of us! It is really worth having someone showing you through the town, we loved Bahil Palace, the walk through the Souks and that Adil also asked which details are most interesting to us and adapted, so went into a herbory / pharmacy with us - we really enjoyed the time with Adil!

When we arrived in marrakech we had a bad experience. The next day we had this tour with Jaafar. He gave us great insights in the history, the day to day live and gave us great tips. He changed our opinion on marrakech and made us love the place. Thank you Jaafar for the great experience.

This was our first time in Marrakech so we wanted to learn about the Morrocan culture and have someone show us around the city. Our tour guide, Aimad, was seriously amazing! He was personable, incredibly knowledgable, and very friendly. He made us feel safe as we walked around the city and taught us a lot about the culture. At the end of our tour, Aimad recommended a few places to eat where locals go and actually left us at a lunch spot where the food was incredible! The name of the restaurant is Chez Lamine. Definitely recommend that restaurant for authentic Morrocan food and we highly recommend this tour!

We don't normally choose to do something this but glad we did, Aimed was very good and informative, we see places we would not have gone on our own or even known was there. We are mum and daughter and felt very confident walking the souks after our tour. He made all of the history sound interesting and fun as well! This was also a private tour!!!
