Our day trip

The experience was well worth the trip. I would recommend at Windsor Castle to visit the Abbey first. The living quarters are neat but there is just so much you can run out of time if not paying attention. It’s a nice walk to the enterance gate. Make sure and get down to the parade ground and exit to see the changing of the guard at 11:00. Stonehege was a must see for me and it is pretty good. For the record the stones are not buzzing. Oxford was great as well. Nice tour. As a huge Tolkien fan I was wanting to see the pub “The Eagle and the Child” pub. A place Tolkien and his friends hung out at. Turns out you are one block from the pub. Our tour guide Peter was excellent. Very informative.

Best way to travel to Southampton cruise port

The best way to travel from central London to the cruise port in Southampton! Our driver, Danny, was very friendly and helpful. The day of our trip, there was a marathon being run on the street where we were supposed to meet. Danny parked and went into the hotel to have reception let us know where he was located. The van was the perfect size to carry all of our bags and was very comfortable. Danny helped with our many bags and we enjoyed talking with him during the ride. We were dropped off right at the port where we easily checked in our bags and boarded our ship.

Idyllic Transport to Ship

We were exploring ways to get to our cruise ship in Southampton from London when I saw this one that made a stop at Stonehenge. Transport AND sightseeing, What a lovely idea! Ihtisham was so accommodating. He didn’t bat an eye at our 8 suitcases. He was very considerate of our temperature needs and even worried if we were getting peckish. He let us set the pace of the trip. We even took the scenic route from Stonehenge to the ship when we realized we had plenty of time. The small little cottages were so quaint in the lovely little villages. Excellent experience.

Wow wow and more wow (just be ready to stretch your legs)

An incredible day! Highclere Castle was stunning. The village of Bampton was charming, and we even got to go into the church after a service. Our tour guide, Richard, was fun, knowledgeable, and shared some amazing behind the scenes stories on the making of Downton Abbey. As someone who has only seen the first movie, I still found this to be an awesome, interesting, and engaging experience. The only drawback was the travel accommodations: the bus was cramped when it came to leg room and the air conditioning whistled loudly and annoyingly. That said, nothing a lovely cocktail with Highclere Gin and a walk around the gardens couldn’t solve! I wish we’d been able to stay even longer.

Short and sweet

Quick all in one tour. The time in Oxford goes super fast. You have tops 2 hrs total there. The stop in Bampton is really quite boring and you have to buy your picnic lunch in Oxford to eat there because there’s nowhere to buy there and then you have to eat at a random bench. Highclere castle is great. They have an Egyptian collection that you can see for an extra ticket if you’re interested. The tour guide and driver were good.

We booked ATN Cars to take us from London City to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral on May 19th, 2025 for 8 hours. Our driver, Kuha, arrived on time, provided us with water for our trip and we were on our way. Kuha was professional, kind, informative and provided suggestions for timing of our visit so we could see everything we wanted to experience. His driving skills were great, his car was immaculate and comfortable and we felt safe the entire time. He shared what he knew about the sites when asked.
