Amazing!

I can't say how Safari compares to others, but we were extremely pleased. We felt safe, had a wonderful visual of the island including a dip into the volcanic crater where many waterfalls were streaming down. Kauai is one of those places that a helicopter is necessary to really see all the splendor. There were so many waterfalls to see. My advice - as the weather changes quickly, don't pay attention to weather reports. Trust in Safari to give you the best tour weather allows.

Luxury Helicopter with very qualified and knowledgeable pilots. Nathan was amazing and answered all our questions. He narrated the flight pointing out the landmarks, road to Hana, etc. the rainforest landing was a once in a lifetime experience and included fresh fruit and champagne. Exceeding expectations seems to be this groups specialty!

Great experience!!

We loved our flight and our pilot was excellent. We couldn’t get to the volcano because of rain but he took us over the lava fields, waterfalls, river and part of Hilo. Told us so much stuff during the flight we didn’t even need to use the mic to ask any questions. The ladies helping with take off and landing were super helpful to get us on our flight and extremely nice. Cookie was great! I would take this flight again when visiting Hawaii. First time in a helicopter and was a wonderful experience.

Simply Wow!

Wow!! What an experience! This doors-off helicopter tour of the island was the highlight of our two week visit to the islands. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and informative as they reviewed the procedures and safety protocols. Our pilot Aidan was fantastic and provided narration during the flight and was thoughtful to loop around at several sites so both my husband and I could have a clear view of the scenery. And what scenery! Simply breathtaking. I thought it would be interesting to track my heart rate on my watch during the experience thinking it would skyrocket during the flight as this was my first helicopter flight, but it actually dropped to my normal resting rate. I think because it was such a majestic and serene experience being able to view all the beautiful creation. I highly recommend this experience and would love the opportunity to do it again sometime.

Best way to do the Road to Hana- ask for Scotty!

The perfect way to do the road to Hana! Scotty was an amazing tour guide! He was funny, shared interesting stories and facts, and is an incredible photographer!! He lets you know in advance all the perfect photo opps, and does really cool photo tricks when he takes your pictures. The helicopter portion of the tour was great too and helps cut down on travel time tremendously. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking to do the Road to Hana. Save yourself the headache and stress of driving through those hairpin turns and one lane bridges, and have someone else do it for you! Best part is not having to do it all the way back too, fly instead and get some great aerial views while you’re at it. Ask for Scotty to be your driver/tour guide. Seriously best tour guide I’ve ever had and I’ve done my fair share of tours. Thank you again Scotty!

Really worth every penny!

It was a blast! I was a little skeptical at the beginning as I am slightly afraid of heights and my partner sometimes gets motion sick - but after the first 10 minutes everything was blown away by the exciting, magical views. Mario was a very good pilot and showed a great taste in music during the flight. It doesn’t matter if you sit on the right or the left, the pilot always takes a turn so that everybody gets the stunning views. Also Ray our security instructor and shuttle driver was very nice and gave us some helpful tips as a Kauian-born.

Wonderful tour!

Overall, the tour was great! It was kind of short, but it wasn’t that expensive either. Tyler, the pilot of the helicopter, was excellent. And Cristen, the person who helped us with the waivers, was very good also. The directions from the Viator website put us in the middle of Kona. That was not helpful at all. I had to call to find the directions. Overall, we loved it though!
