As locals, we will greet you like ohana (family) as you drive your own 2022 Kawasaki All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) through 80 acres of beachfront farm lands, onto our signature ATV track, and directly help to restore Hawaiiʻs shoreline with a variety of 49 native Hawaiian shoreline plants that prevent erosion. Learn the 1,000 year history of Kapukapuakea and its spiritual and physical connection to Taputapuatea, a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO. This is the only tour on O’ahu that allows you to drive your own 4-wheel ATV! This is NOT a UTV which has a steering wheel and one driver with passengers. Guests choose an indigenous shoreline plant, & personally plant it in the only restored shoreline in Hawaii. A healthy shoreline prevents erosion & builds sand dunes.

Highlight of our Big Island adventures

We had so much fun with Nathan on this tour. It happened to just be our family of 3 and Nathan provided so much history and knowledge along the way. We stopped at a private beach and an area where the turtles like to hang out. The terrain was so much fun, not just boring flat land. This was the highlight of our time on the Big Island and I can't recommend it enough!

Best part of our trip

Don’t be intimidated by the weather or driving the ATVS ,there easy to operate ,they have you drive a block or so to see if your comfortable operating it ,yes it’s going to rain ,they sell ponchos there for $4.00 ,this was one of the best parts of our trip ,it rained and your driving thru large muddy trenches ,and none of my family got any mud on them at all (they supply boots ) the guide is super informative about Hawaiian history ,he stops at different times to tell you the history ,i would highly recommend this trip ,6/24/2026

I had a great first time experience! The guides were very patient and attentive. We got to see some beautiful sights from high up and able to "let loose" on a few open paths when we got the okay to. My family all enjoyed our experience and would definitely do it again! If anyone is looking for a bit of thrill, I would definitely recommend this!

The experience was...

The experience was phenomenal the views along the way were amazing. You get a glimpse of the mountain side and the ocean. As an added bonus they have animals along the trail that you can feed along the way. In addition to some nice courses aside from the main trail. Finally the staff were amazing and very friendly. If you get a chance I would highly recommend it!

Much More Than JUST a ATV Ride Around The Ranch - A MUST DO!

FIshing in the fish ponds was a fun way to start this adventure. Traveling around the ranch on the two seater ATVs was loads of fun. We stopped a few times so Ronson, our lead guide, could pick some fresh fruit off the trees. As a Native Hawaiian, Ronson added great information about the ahupua'a land management system. He also shared stories about how local Hawaiians helped each other during the recent devastating kona lows. The animals - geese, cows, dogs and horses - on the ride were great to see, too. The stop back at the meeting house was a great way to enjoy some fresh local fruit - papaya, guava, pineapple and others were great. We even got to take the leftovers home. The trip to the shoreline was a great opportunity to see where the locals fish. Ronson shared some great recipe ideas. Red, our second guide, was also very informative and gave a great balance to Ronson as Red has only been on island for 5 months. Overall, an amazing experience. I'd HIGHLY recommend this visit to the ranch.

Educational and Fun! Ellis and Lorenzo made this excursion so fantastic. We’ve done ATV tours on the other islands, Sedona AZ, and Washington state, and this one was the best so far! We learned about 4 different islander cultures in an interactive and engaging way. Lots of laughs, super easy ride, great time! Highly recommend.
