The BEST way to tour around the island

We walked out of the Grand Turk port and across the parking area to a faded red brick path leading to the left. Shortly along the path we found a lot with golf carts, and PRJ rentals with the incredibly helpful Richard. He provided us with a map, his contact information, instructions on operating the cart, and ideas of places we should visit. This is truly the best way to see the island. We were able to drive to Governors Beach and spend a few hours on the beach, we pulled off the road and walk down paths to more rugged areas of the beach on the way across the island, see the lighthouse, and all the donkeys! We had lunch in Cockburn Town and visited the straw market. Would recommend!

Great experience!

Very polite and easy-going young man offered us a couple of carts to choose from. They all appeared to be in good shape, and the one we chose had no issues (we toured the whole island a couple of times). The walk to the carts was very reasonable (probably less than 10 minutes if you don’t stop to take pictures of everything like we did, lol). Overall a great experience, and one we hope to do again!

DEA side by side tour

Daniel and his crew were very helpful, but we would have enjoyed more group historical narrative along the way as to what we were looking at. To be fair, the vehicles made a lot of noise and narration would be impossible unless stopped and turned off. The side by sides were a lot of fun to ride and we saw a lot of the island. Watch out for the donkeys!

10/10 recommend this experience. The whole team was accommodating and super friendly. The place was very easy to find via walking through sand way. I didn’t catch her name but the woman working the check in was warm, told us it was also whale watching season, and a bunch of facts about grand Turk. It was so nice seeing conch shells, holding them, taking pics, etc and learning about them as well. The snorkeling was a little on the tougher side but the water was beautiful and I saw the most wildlife I’ve ever seen snorkeling (and I’ve snorkeled a lot). You have the opportunity to not swim if you don’t want to as my boyfriend stayed on boat, just throwing that out there. We did the grand cayman stingray experience years ago but this stingray experience through this tour is 10x better. It’s way more intimate and you have more time with the rays. The conch ceviche and rum punch were so yummy. The whole experience took 3 hours max, I highly recommend to cruise ship passengers as we also had plenty of time to shop afterwards, eat, etc. Bring lots of sunscreen and extra water!!

Fun & Gorgeous Start to Port Day

This excursion was so fun, so relaxing, and such a great way to start our port day at Grand Turk. We scheduled our parasailing experience for shortly after debarking our ship and were the only 2 for our time slot. The crew showed us a great time out on the water and a wonderful parasailing experience. It was fun to see the island, the ocean, and our cruise ship all from such a high vantage point. I’m a little scared of heights and still had a great time. My sister loved it. Thank you for the best start to our day at Grand Turk!

Great day on Grand Turk Island

We rented a golf cart that was a 6 seater. We picked it up after maybe an 10 minute flat walk from the cruise ship. It was all ready to go. We were able to see Grand Turk island at our own pace.. Went to beaches, light house, the local museum and drove around the town and had lunch at a local restaurant serving local food. . Lots of dogs, donkeys and horses along the route that were fun to see. Great day on Grand Turk island.

DEA is absolutely the company you want to book with. The golf carts were comfortable, drove great, and had plenty of space to store towels, bags, and other essentials. Daniel was incredibly responsive and quick to answer any questions we had, which made the whole process stress-free. Finding the pickup location was exactly as described, and even while following the directions, friendly locals on the island went out of their way to make sure we were headed the right way. We were given a clear map with directions, recommended routes, and fun stops along the island, which made exploring easy and enjoyable. The golf carts themselves are very easy to drive—just drive, neutral, and reverse. The only thing to remember is to drive on the left side of the road. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommend DEA!

The Customer Service was Great, but the Process could be Better.

Prior to the trip communication with DEA was amazing. Daniel was incredible at providing updates, to ensure we had a successful time. Now, upon arrival that where things get a little interesting. After walking out of the exit gate, DEA is about a 7 minute walk. Upon finding DEA there was one guy rushing around to accommodate about a dozen people. There could be more order or signage to have people line up. Instead you have ppl staking claim by loading their entire family onto a cart only to be possibly kicked off. The process wasn't good, but the customer service was great. The golf cart was in above average shape, had speed and wasn't too dirty. There's a need for additional staff onsite for the check in process. Ome customers havent booked at all and feel the need to get in the way of those who make reservations. After you've signed in the beauty of the island, the people, and of course the donkeys just take over. ADVICE: Reserve early. Speak with Daniel. Bring a credit card. Eat jerk chicken at the food truck and conch fritters (in the shopping area). Drink on the side of the road prior to the shopping area, great view. Well done DEA. Thank you.

My family of 4 enjoyed this excursion in Grand Turk. I will say that the upgrade to stop at Gibbs Bay made the trip, it would have been a bit disappointing without that. Snorkeling was great with beautiful water and plenty of fish, but we were only there about 30 minutes and there were several other big boats. The stop at Gibbs Bay gave us a bit quieter time at a beautiful beach, with opportunities to swim, snorkel, or just sit on the sand. The crew from checkin to our captain and first mate, were great and took good care of everyone. I would definitely recommend this group to anyone stopping at Grand Turk.
