The tour starts at 20:00 from the hotel in Sharm and takes about 3 hours by coach to reach Moses Mountain. The climb to the top of Mount Sinai starts at night and takes about 750 steps to reach the summit. It takes around 4 hours. At the summit, you can enjoy the panoramic view of sunrise. After we will descend towards St. Catherine Monastery it takes about 2-3 hours. Our guide was great, she took her time explaining the mosque to us and giving us a history lesson about the area before we walked through the market. We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The tour was very well organised, informative and enjoyable from beginning to end. A special thank-you to our wonderful tour guide, Halawani, who truly made the experience memorable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional. His passion for Egyptian history was clear, and he brought the stories and history of the ancient Egyptians to life in such an interesting and engaging way. Halawani was also very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He gave us plenty of time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the incredible sights without ever feeling rushed. He was always happy to answer our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The Pyramids and Sphinx were breathtaking, and the Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive. Having such an excellent guide like Halawani made these incredible places even more special. Fantastic tour and tour company

We would highly recommend Emo Tours Egypt - everything about the tour was beyond expectations. Abu Simbel itself was of course fantastic and well worth the long drive, and there are many companies offering tours, so my review is about Emo Tours. Communication from the company was excellent, instant response to questions on WhatsApp. We organised the pick up point (a cruise boat in our case) directly with the company via WhatsApp. The pick up was on time, the car was almost new and very comfortable, and our driver Mohammed was a very good, safe driver. With the comfortable car and very good straight roads we got to Abu Simbel in 3.5 hours including a 15 minute coffee stop (even quicker on the way back). Our guide was very friendly and very knowledgeable and he gave us a lot of very useful and interesting information in perfect English before we entered the temples. Both guide and driver were friendly and courteous. Overall an excellent company and tour, hence highly recommended

If you want to get the...

If you want to get the best from Cairo in one day, this is the tour to go for! Our guide Amira was excellent! She’s an Egyptologist and was very knowledgable. She was one of the best guides we had during our time in Egypt and would recommend the tour with her to everyone. Our driver Mohammed was very good and polite as well. He came about 15 minutes before the scheduled time and drove us safely through the crazy traffic in Cairo and back to our hotel in Giza. We booked just Car and Guide and there were no problems with buying the tickets on-site. Even in high season there were no queues and you can pay by card everywhere, except the 50E£ car fee to the Citadel.

The drive from Cairo becomes part of the experience, filled with good energy and connection. Visiting the whale fossils was fascinating. Lunch at a Bedouin rest area in the desert is a true highlight, offering a peaceful break in a beautiful setting. Travelers should know that much of what makes this experience special is Ahmed himself. His positivity, sense of humor, and genuine hospitality leave you feeling energized and cared for throughout the day. Really good guide

It was a very interesting experience. Our guide was fantastic. He was great at storytelling and had a lot of knowledge. He was also very open about his own experiences and opinions and it was a great eye opener for foreigners like us. We visited several churches and a synagogue which carry a massive amount of history. I am not sure if it’s mentioned in the itinerary, to get to the last church you have to drive through the so called ‘garbage city’ - which is not for everyone- and so was visiting the city of the dead - but we are glad we did that as it’s a fascinating part of Cairo. Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was William - very knowledgeable!
