It was nice of them that they charged a minimum amount when we realized we booked the wrong date. However, during the tour they stopped by a lot of shops. When we said we did not want to go to more shopping centers, they said ok, but afterwards didn't give us free time. After we said we did not want to see more shops, we had less free time and the tour ended at 1pm.(2 hours before the scheduled time) The guide's attitude changed right away. It wasn't the worst tour but we did not know that we would go to so many shops and expected more... Our precious time during the trip was wasted too much.

Viator failed in its job!

I am afraid to say Viator didn’t perform the services committed, so, we lost our first day in Cairo. I booked a daily tour for Cairo with a confirmed voucher in our hand, but nobody came to pick up us and even didn’t reply to our messages we sent to the tour provider. So, I had to book another one for the next day. Unfortunately, in the next day, the tour guide didn’t know how to handle that trip and spoke English with a local accent made it very difficult to understand. In addition, he explained something about the places we visited (pyramids, Saqqara, Memphis…) without any introduction or a brief history of them. So, we got lost in the irrelevant and discrete topics he told about places. One museum was in our tour to be visited for two hours, but he passed very fast from sculptures and finished the visit just in 30 minutes. Something like ignoring important steps to finish the tour faster! Also he suggested to visit a papyrus museum but when we arrived I realized it was a shop! Unfortunately it was an unpleasant memory!

I went with my boyfriend on the this tour with guide Mary and Amir. Mary was the most incredible tour guide. She was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She took amazing pictures of us. She also gave really good advice as to what was worth seeing or not and made sure we did not waste money. We ate a delicious lunch at an authentic Egyptian place. The timing of everything was great. The camel ride was also very fun and was at the end with a great back drop of the pyramids of Giza.

This was the most amazing experience we had in Egypt and the best day tour I've ever been on. I'm so glad we booked the private tour instead of a group tour as our tour guide Bebo was really knowledgeable and helped us not only with the pyramids but about how to navigate being in Egypt, from tipping to where to shop and what to wear and even to spot those cheeky people trying to charge you to go to the loo lol. He was also a great photographer 📸 would recommend Bebo 10000000%! 🙌

The sights were the most memorable. The guide (Mohammad known as Mimo) had a great knowledge. Just felt he wanted to be somewhere else. Sent driver with car to pick us up & joined us along the way. Went to Saqqara, Papyrus factory, Giza pyramids and then onto lunch, weren't interested in the camel ride at Giza. Pickup was 8am and returned by 2pm. Guide left us at lunch & driver returned us to the hotel. Saw what we wanted but not a great day.

Nora & George were excellent! Very nice and made the tour enjoyable. I enjoyed the personalized experience. I visited the Giza pyramids the Sphinx, had a camel ride in front of the pyramids, and so much more. We went to lunch and had traditional Egyptian cuisine on a rooftop overlooking the city, and could see the pyramids. Much care was taken to ensure a great time was had.

Best tour for our very short stay in Cairo. We decided to take a private tour and we had the best time and company with Bassem (tour Driver) & Muhammad (Tour guide). Bassem will drive safely and had great conversation about architecture, city remodeling and culture. Muhammad made sure we were satisfied with all the information he provided us and made sure we were ok with suggestions on what to eat and places to go in between visits. We had great quality of time with tons of laughter 😊. Totally recommend these guys.

Overall a solid experience. Pyramids at Saqqara were amazing and Memphis was also excellent - no complaints and amazing views! Probably the best part of the tour. Rug shop was an obvious tourist trap but interesting enough in process/product that I was okay with being led there. Giza pyramids was slightly disappointing in that by the description I'd presumed all-inclusive meant all the pyramids however seeing the insides is extra. I settled on the smaller pyramid which was cheaper but still very cool. Camel ride was very nice if a bit short at 20 mins Vs 30 mins advertised on site and 1 hour in person. Camel handler was also very greedy despite being offered a generous tip. Perfume and papyrus shops are 100% tourist traps they are incrntivised to go to for a return on the purchases however once I expressed no interest in the perfume shop we skipped the papyrus which was appreciated. Felucca ride was incredible and definitely recommend - if again a bit less than the 1h advertised. Lunch was good, if a little late as it was right near the end (3:00pm). It was annoying to pay for water/cola given it was all-inclusive. Both guide and driver were very nice and made an effort to make conversation/getting to know each other in between sites and was very knowledgeable. Overall a very good day!

We loved the tour. Ahmed is very friendly and knowledgeable. Pick up right on time and communication in advance through whatsapp. He also takes perfect pictures. We were with 2 persons + Ahmed and his driver (also a great guy). The tour was including a camel trip which we were not interested in so we easily moved on to the next part. The trip was perfect, but there’s always room for improvement ; The visit to the natural oil museum. This is just a shop trying to sell. But you only have to say ‘not interest’ once and then you move on again and everybody stays friendly. No pressure at all. I would skip this next time. The included lunch is very good but i find it odd that a drink is not included, not even a simple water. I do not mind to pay for a drink but feel it should be included aswell. All together i would highly recommend this to anyone.

Marvelous sites, though felt rushed to keep moving

We booked our Memphis, Saqqara, and Giza pyramid tour on Viator a week before our trip and the entire communication and coordination process was very smooth. Our guide, Mimo, and driver, Mohammed, were punctual in picking us up from our hotel and had an organized and structured day planned for us. We visited Memphis, Saqqara, a papyrus store, had lunch, and then finished with the Pyramids and the Sphinx. While our guide was well versed in Egyptian history and spoke English very well, his descriptions and explanations were clearly rehearsed, as on multiple occasions, he was unable to answer our questions about history or culture unless they were part of his practiced dialogue. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our time visiting the sites, but felt a bit rushed by our guide at times. We traveled halfway across the world to marvel at the Pyramids and our guide looked visibly frustrated when we took extra time to take photos or wanted to wander a few steps away from the car to get a different picture of the Pyramids. Because of this pressure to keep moving, we ended up returning to the Pyramids the next day, paying another day’s worth of entry fees, just to take in the sites once more and get the photos we wanted the day before.

I met my guide Paula and the driver Amir at the hotel's lobby. Paula was well-informed and professional, and planned the day such that I managed not only to spend a couple of hours photographing the art installations (IG: @MyHappyIsles), but also to see the Pyramids, Saqqara, and Memphis. Visiting the Pyramids has been one of the most memorable days of my life, and I am very glad that this day went well-planned, productive, and enjoyable. WOW! our tour guide Ahmed and driver Syed were just amazing. They picked us up at 8:30 AM from our hotel and Ahmed started giving us a deep dive into Egypt's rich history. His tour was very well planned- the sights we saw just took our breath away. The tour also included lunch, we got the opportunity to try real Egyptian food. Ahmed was kind enough to pay for our meals. Ahmed also took some AMAZING photos- he know all the best spots to capture them. The tour also came with a camel ride- which was just out of this world.
