Tour was great! Driver (Mike) and tour guide (Terry) were both wonderful! I was a little concerned about some reviews stating that you were on the bus too long, but multiple stops were made for picture opportunities and snack/toilet breaks. The point of the tour was to view the highlands and that was certainly achieved! My only suggestion is to add more cows to the tour (but I also feel you can never have enough cows haha!) Overall I would certainly recommend this tour!

Fun & Informative Tour

This was a great and informative tour! We had a lot of fun and would highly recommend. One thing to note, while the tour guide is not allowed in the various buildings in the castle, the price includes access to everything on site. We didn't realize that and had bought separate entrance tickets, which we didn't need. Also, make sure to do a tour in the morning so you are in the grounds at 1:00 for the firing of the gun. Fun!

This was definitely one of the best tours I've ever booked and the highlight of my Scotland experience. Our tour guide Blair is the best, so funny and personable. He's very talented with the accordion and making us feel welcomed. He definitely lifts the mood up despite the intermittent rain falls in the highlands and caters to what we want out of the trip. 10/10 would book again with Blair for making this truly a unique, fun experience.

Great trip through the Scottish Highlands. Our guide and bus driver Phil of Stewart Tours was exceptional in his historical accounts, his driving skills, his recommendations of places to see during our scheduled stops, his selection of stops to see the beauty of the Highlands and of course his singing skills (great rendition of the Scottish Anthem Phil- brilliant). The boat tour of Loch Ness (an extra charge) was excellent and highly recommended. It was a bit colder on the lake so dress accordingly. Long day (around 12 hours) so be prepared for all kinds of weather, bring a little food and drink and lots of layers as the weather changes very quickly in the Highlands. Also please note the tour is on a time schedule that was important to keep as the day is very full of activities. One of the things we loved most as there is not any wasted time. Thanks Phil for the beautiful day. Truly our best guided tour of what is an absolutely beautiful country.

Well, it all started with my mistakes! I booked a Spanish speaking tour- we don’t speak Spanish. Then, I didn’t read that we had a meeting place rather than meeting at the castle. Once the mistakes were realized, we went up to a man with a black/yellow umbrella and asked questions. He jumped into action and messaged someone to come help us. Within a few minutes, someone arrived with our tickets and allowed us to join in with an English speaking tour. What a stoke of luck! We ended up with Jen and what a delight! She is a wealth of information and entertaining! What a great time!

Fun way to spend an hour underground in Edinburgh!

This was a fun experience I had not thought about before . . . we had some time to kill in Edinburgh. This only lasted an hour and was a fun and educational way to spend that hour! Tour guide was quite entertaining, informational and made sure he took very good care of us as the environment was dark at times. Would definitely recommend, thank you!

Enjoyable day in the Highlands.

We had a fun day driving up into the Highlands with Stuart, our driver and guide. He told us lots of interesting stories about the history of Scotland and played Scottish songs for us. We really enjoyed seeing all the different landscapes and felt like we had a good sense of what the Highlands looked like. We opted out of the cruise on Loch Ness and had a delicious lunch instead but in retrospect I would take the cruise because it’s a very big lake, and from our vantage point on the shore we could only see a small bit of it. I would like to have seen more.

Adam Was A Delightful Tour Guide - Lochs Are Gorgeous - Skip The Boat Tour

Our your guide was Adam, who was kind, accommodating, helpful, knowledgeable, and so energetic. The highlands are gorgeous and he made sure to stop at any place worthy of a photo, a little walk to stretch your legs, or for a snack and bathroom break. He memorized everyone’s names, gave personalized recommendations for our itineraries later in the week, and provided 12 hours of fascinating commentary with such a lovely mix of kiwi and Scottish accent! The only thing I would say is skip the boat tour at Loch Ness - a bit of a rip off (the boat is huge with hundreds of people, not a fun, campy experience). I could not think of a better guide to show me the highlands and Adam has made me want to return to Scotland to explore more of the country!

Great tour that charts a really nice route out of Edinburgh and into the Highlands. The tour covers a LOT of road, but honestly it felt so quick thanks to our wonderful guide’s stories and banter. The bus was comfy, and there were sufficient stops for bathrooms or snacks. Importantly, our guide gave a great heads up about when the next stop/bathroom would be. He also gave great pointers about what to stop by at every location. Overall, had a really nice time on this tour to Glenfinnan!!

A very informative and entertaining day.

We booked this tour because I am a golfer and wanted to see the Old Course at St. Andrews. That mission was accomplished but it was only part of a great day when David, our tour guide and driver, made sure we enjoyed visits to a couple of charming small towns and the Fourth Bridge. David’s knowledge of history and current activities was clear, but also his great disposition and sense of humor. The tour was not shorts of laughter. We highly recommend it.
