Bob was an interesting and amusing tour guide. As Outlander fans, we enjoyed all of the sites! We also loved seeing the Kelpies and the historic sites that Bob pointed out on the drive between sites.

This was more for my wife and could tell that Ian, our guide. Was knowledgeable about the seasons. He would also slip in historic Scottish information as well as Harry Potter locations.
Ian was wonderful and kept a tight ship with scheduling so we could all experience the sights in a reasonable amount of time.

Excellent tour of multiple film sites, which in themselves are of historical interest. Ian the driver/guide was very entertaining and provided further commentary on historical aspects/sites as we passed them in addition to the TV series. Did not feel rushed noting the various sites to visit and distance travelled

You need to have watched Outlander for this trip to mean anything, but the actual history of the places visited was very interesting. There is a lot of walking and some of it can be quite muddy, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes that you don’t mind getting muddy. The driver is very knowledgeable and gives lots of information.

It was cancelled due to rain and I wasn’t notified in any way so I stood at the meeting spot in the cold/rain.

In cases where there are very few travellers, a decision may be made to move the tour to another date. We make every effort to notify guests by email or message in these situations, and we apologise if you did not receive our communication.

Tour guide didn’t really guide. Had to figure out attractions on our own. Not really helpful especially when you have no clue where your going.

Brandon ‘B-dawg’ was excellent. Visited several outlander filming locations and knew lots of history about Scotland and told stories that mixed them both. Entertaining and interesting day visiting castles and learning about the Jacobite uprising.

This tour covered everything and had ample time at each stop. The next day one of the stops was closed due to filming. This is not the fault of the tour company, but to compensate we were taken to Stirling Castle at no extra charge. This was an unexpected but excellent experience. I’m thankful for the opportunity to visit this magnificent castle. It was a fantastic substitute. Thank you.

There are wheelchairs available or a taxi to take you to the top of the castle. Our tour guide was funny and informative. It’s a lot of walking and can be slippery when wet. Prices in shops veey fair.

Obviously fans of the books/show will love it no matter what…but the guide we had was absolutely brilliant. Knowledgeable not only of the show but of Scottish history which was such an unexpected pleasure…thanks go to Iain! Also, we knew travelling with my mother in her wheelchair was going to be rough, but Iain, again, was helpful, patient and kind throughout. Our guide made our tour special in many ways.

I took the Outlander tour on my birthday, and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was well-organized, informative, and so much fun.
Our driver and guide, Ian, was absolutely fantastic. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable about all things Outlander and Scottish history, but he also had a great sense of humor and made the whole day feel personal and special. He went above and beyond to make sure everyone was comfortable and engaged, and he brought each location to life with fascinating stories and insights.
As a fan of the series, it was amazing to see the filming locations up close, but Ian’s storytelling made it even more memorable. His passion for Scotland and the show really shone through.
I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday. Highly recommend this tour — and if you get Ian as your guide, you’re in for a real treat!

There is a lot of uphill walking. Other than that it was a great trip. All the stops were beautiful. The ride in the bus was enjoyable. The guide B Dog was knowledgable and entertaining.

I don't have many characters to explain how terrible this day was, so I will separate my review into biased and unbiased information. You may form your own opinions.
Unbiased information:
- The sights were beautiful but we were very rushed.
- The price for the tour does not include entry to every sight so expect to pay out of pocket.
- The tour guide spent over 1 hour (honestly maybe more) speaking to the family behind him, broadcasting their conversation about tires, trucks, and college to the rest of the bus who were not involved in the conversation.
If those things matter to you, they are things you should know.
Biased information:
I spent 2 years saving to come to Scotland to take this tour, and Outlander is my favorite show. On stop #2, I misunderstood the time and returned to the bus at 12:21 thinking we were supposed to be back at 12:30. In reality, we had been told to return at 12:15. That was my fault, and I own that. I explained to him I thought it was 12:30, apologized profusely, and slunk into my seat, wildly embarrassed, as everyone was waiting for us. The tour driver would end up bringing up how late we were/running behind schedule we were six times over the next six hours. No, I'm not exaggerating. We were 10-20 minutes early for the rest of the day, as we were so embarrassed we had misconstrued the time on stop #2.
Worth mentioning: we left for the day at 9 AM, when the tour was set to depart at 8:20. The tour guide was waiting for someone to show up who had signed up, but did not arrive. So we departed for the day already 40 minutes behind schedule. At the second to last stop, the tour guide himself was 7 minutes late picking us up, but no one ever mentioned that. This was right before we went to Lallybroch, so he said we might not make it before the doors closed. He mentioned the reasoning behind that was "we were late getting to lunch." Aka us being late. Which was 5 hours prior to that comment
Embarrassed is an understatement. We were punctual all day, other than stop 2. We missed out on touring certain sights in order to be punctual, and were still reminded of our tardiness. All day. The bus members joined in on this, also made comments about it, and we struggled to enjoy anything at all for the rest of the day. I want to reiterate that I understand I made a mistake around noon. But to be blamed for it for 6 more hours? That's insane.
I saved for years to come on this tour. I chose this one, out of all the others, and I'm so sad with this experience. I own my mistake, and apologized for it repeatedly. We made up our lost minutes at lunch time, and were still blamed for the rest of the day.
If i could do anything over again, it would probably be to rent a car, and drive to the locations myself. Although we've been taking bus tours for about a decade, this one was so humiliating that I will not ever book another tour again.

To clarify, our tours are designed with set timings at each stop so we can visit as many Outlander locations as possible in a single day. This means returning promptly at the agreed time is important to ensure the group doesn’t miss key highlights later in the tour.
Regarding entrance fees: as stated in the itinerary, entry to Doune Castle and Linlithgow Palace are optional extras and not included in the base price. This gives guests the flexibility to decide which sites they’d like to explore inside.
That said, we regret that a single timing mistake left you feeling singled out for the rest of the day. Your comments will be reviewed with our team so that in future, communication is handled with more sensitivity and guests feel supported throughout.
