Itinerary
Meet your guide in central Edinburgh and travel in a top of the range, 16-seat Mercedes mini-coach to the Kelpies, passing Linlithgow Palace, the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, on the way.
Stop at the Kelpies monument for an up-close look at the 30-meter high horse heads. The sculptures stand as a testament to the horsepower that drove the industrial development of central Scotland.
Afterward, take a back road to Loch Lomond, traveling through the protected lands of Scotland’s first national park: Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Follow a scenic route along the 22-mile-long (35-km) loch’s eastern shore, which is dominated by the oft-climbed Ben Lomond.
Break for lunch (own expense), before continuing to the city of Stirling, where you can visit one of Scotland’s most magnificent castles—Stirling Castle. Instead, of waiting in long ticket lines, castle admission is included, so you can head inside and tour the interiors.
Your small-group day trip concludes with the return drive to Edinburgh.

If you are thinking about booking this tour, just do it! I had an unforgettable day seeing the Kelpies, walking by Loch Lomond, and exploring Stirling Castle. A huge shoutout to the fantastic guide, Stuart, who was so warm and welcoming. I also really appreciated how cautious and smooth his driving was. He made it a completely stress-free and perfect day out!

Our guide was wonderful. He was knowledgable and friendly. I would take any tour from Robbie Tour Co.

Our Rabbies tour guide, Sean, his vibe was appreciated by all ages ranging from 10 to 44! He was funny, knowledgeable and kept us entertained and on time to each location. From the Kelpies to the Loch to the castle, everything was beautiful and gave us a small taste of Scotland. This was a good alrernative if you cannot or do not want to travel as far as Loch Ness and the Highlands. We will be back for more!

What a fantastic day our guide Neil and Paul that's learning the job was absolutely brilliant.
I would highly recommend this trip.

Lots of stories from guide Jack made the driving a pleasure- the Stirling Castle terrific, every part of the tour was great.

We had a wonderful time on the Kelpies / Loch Lomond / Stirling Castle tour! Luckily the weather was perfect. A very comfortable ride, pleasant company, and relaxed time at each stop. Even some nice surprise visits along the way. Recommended for a day trip from Edinburgh.

It could be a wonderful tour, but the rain was nasty at times. Our guide , Lyn was very knowledgeable and friendly. She talked about history, geology and fairy tales. While talking, Lyn was punctuating her speech with gesticulations and driving with only one hand on the wheel. It was a little scary when we were riding on the curvy road up and down the hills through the rain.

It was an amazing day! Stirling Castle was definitely worth visiting! Loch Lomond was beautiful and the Kelpies a true unique work of art!

I have never traveled with Rabie’s before and was fairly disappointed.
1). The van is small and extremely cramped. I was sitting between and window and a very tall person which left absolutely no room. It made for a very uncomfortable ride.
2). Our guide was more of a driver than a guide. He periodically regurgitated some facts but did not seem to know a lot of Scottish history.
3). Company was not very responsive when I contacted them about the situation with sitting. They told me to talk to the driver who could not help. The van was packed like a can of sardines.
4). The places we visited were amazing but it would have been much better to go with another company.

Great trip. Ewan was a fantastic tour guide. Knowledgable, funny and accommodating! I think I liked Stirling Castle more than Edinburgh Castle. I wish we had seen a hairy coo but we just weren’t lucky.

This was a great tour, that wasn't too long and it hit a lot of the Scottish countryside. This was well worth the money, and it was a smaller tour that was only 16 people, which was awesome!

Enjoyed views of the vibrant small towns. Driver-guide (Jim Scott) however, walked way too fast, leaving behind more than half the clients. There were, very clearly, at least 10 senior citizens. None of us were able to keep up with Jim and, consequently, missed his commentaries. Several of us actually told Jim that he was too fast but it didn't make a difference. He was, however, quite knowledgeable - when we could hear him on tge coach.

Love the visit to the Kelpies and Stirling Castle. Lots of history and amazing views.
Duncan very professional and easy to understand. Wealth of history.

We very much enjoyed the journey with our tour guide Cameron T. The stories and information were great. The sites were awesome starting with the Kelpies and ending with Sterling Castles. Everything promised was delivered with an extra stop to see highland coos and an alternative lunch stop. Thanks to Rabbie's Tours and Cameron.

Mike was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. Would highly recommend.
meinvolk, May 2026
Great trip to get to know about Scotland out of the city. Our guide, Nik and his trainee Duncan were great fun.
Sherry_H, May 2026
Cameron was our driver and kept us entertained with stories and music between stops. Each site we visited was fantastic.

Good tour. Our guide, Jack, was great. Very entertaining and knowledgable.
The drive through the countryside is beautiful. Lock Lomond is pretty but I enjoyed the drive more. We made a side trip to see the hairy highland coos. It was a highlight.

A pleasant drive through lovely Scottish countryside with some brilliant attractions during the trip

Our driver and tour guide Russell was excellent: super knowledgeable and helpful, with a great sense of humor.
Just for my personal taste, I would have preferred having more time than 2 hours at Stirling Castle. Also, I found the Kelpies and Loch Lomond not all that interesting to have been included in such a long day. I suppose Stirling was the main draw, and these were convenient to take in on the way.
Perhaps including a short hike/tour around the Loch would have improved that stop for me.
I would have preferred a short stop at another historic site if possible, rather than the Kelpies and this Loch (unless as suggested above, a hike or other activity at the Loch were included).
5 stars for your bus driver, but the itinerary itself wasn’t exactly to my taste.

Our guide Iain was a delight, such a great day! Plenty of time to see the beautiful sites without any rushing. Highly recommend this tour. We used multiple tour companies on this trip and Rabbies was the best of all!

Great views, explanations and positive attitude. Rhys was FANTASTIC!!!
Sites were jam packed in, so great value for the cost
Nicholas_S, Mar 2026
Our second time with Rabbie’s and first time in Scotland. Russell was a tremendous guide, very funny and knowledgeable. We visited Stirling Castle first, as to avoid the later crowds. Then we got time to see some Highland Coos, head to Loch Lomond and then the Kelpies. Russell was also kind enough to show us the bridges on the River Forth!
AngelaD_C, Mar 2026
It was a small group and also a smaller bus. Guide was very entertaining when telling the story of Scotland. Took us to great back streets with beautiful views.
Lonoe_F, Mar 2026
The locations on this tour were absolutely lovely, and Stirling Castle was a definite highlight, so impressive and 100% worth seeing. The whole day felt well planned and gave us a great mix of scenery and history.
Chazz was an incredible guide, so knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience really fun and engaging. She even made a stop so we could pet some Highland coos, which was such a special touch!
I would definitely recommend this tour, and if you get Chazz as your guide, you’re in for an amazing day 💕

Steven was our bus driver and guide. He’s awesome! Great sense of humour and great playlist! Bus was new and very comfortable. Love that we chose a small travel group. Adequate time to stop at all the sites and to even have proper lunch in Callander. Highly recommend Rabbies!

Having a great host is imperative. The van isn’t very comfortable: seats too close (can’t stretch legs & feel cramped), seatbelt very uncomfortable & hard to snap in & release (makes you feel like you are tied up with rope & can’t move). Be ready to walk a lot. Take lots of photos! Bring a bottle of water. Prepare to learn a lot!
Evan_P, Mar 2026
Small group setting, lovely views, and a lot of facts about the areas you’re traveling to. Billy was a great guide and very kind!
Tracei_C, Mar 2026
Mary was awesome! She knows the places she’s taking you to, and is a great driver! We came upon an accident on a narrow two lane road, and she expertly backed us into a 3-point turn and turned us around, found a detour, and got us to our next stop on time!
