What are people saying about Costa Rica

So much to see!
The trails are mostly flat and not too steep. There were a few slippery spots. Our guide, Nicole, was fantastic. She took and gave us great pictures using her spotting scope. She was very passionate about the animals and learning. She did well with people if all ages. I was there with a 5 year old and a 78 year old. Both enjoyed it. We saw three species of monkey, 2 species of sloth, 2 species of frog and so much more. We saw a few different habitats as well!
Try to park in the Chalo parking as directed but it was full for us. The owner at Buru Garden directed us to his parking. It was free as long as we had something at his restaurant afterward. We did and it was wonderful-worth it!

Really fun and interesting tour!
I was not excited about this tour, but it was fantastic and I’m so glad we did it! We had so many samples of fruit that were all delicious, sugar cane and rum! The chocolate and coffee were great!! The tour was very interesting and the tour guide shared a lot if interesting facts.

Adventure worth taking!!
Our experience was one of the best adventures we have been on. Our guide was super knowledgeable, able to explain the needed information and instructions for rafting to make it safe and fun. We were able to see sloth, monkeys, and an array of birds. Afterwards the meal was super tasty and a treat to meet the locals and learn about the culture. Orlando was able to make even my mother comfortable with her “scary” with being a first time rafter. His laughter and pizazz were unmatched. Five stars is not enough to give this team!!

Incredible day
Amazing and must-do in La Fortuna. Was worried it would be touristy, but it is for a reason! We took our time down and made it to the waterfall in around 12 mins. We swam in the river and enjoyed the views for 40 mins or so, and then walked back up in 18 mins (with many stops on the stairs!)

Sloth & Chocolate/Coffee Tour
The sloth tour and the chocolate/coffee/sugar cane tour were both amazing! Our guides were so nice and very informative. We saw quite a few sloths and other wildlife!! The chocolate was delicious and the coffee was really nice as well! Would definitely recommend:)

If I had to do again I would have done the private tour. Our guide Johnny was so knowledgeable and interactive. I really appreciated all his education. Going on a group delays and slows things down so toward the end i got to the point where u wanted to just go off on my own. Johnny was the highlight of our experience.

Unforgettable Experience
Such an unforgettable ATV experience! From start to finish, the guides were amazing and super helpful, attentive, and always making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. That said, the ride itself was no joke 😅 some of those hills had me holding on for dear life, but it just made it that much more exciting!
We made three really special stops along the way. The first was a small local village where we got to hear directly from community member. The second stop was at a peaceful little lake where they surprised us with fresh pineapple (so good after the ride!). And the final stop was the highlight. We reached the closest accessible point to the volcano, parked, and took a short 5-minute hike to see the lava rocks up close. Such a surreal moment.
Highly recommend this tour if you’re looking for a mix of adventure, culture, and incredible views!

La Leona hike was a blast!
We had a great time on the semi private tour! Our guide was local to the area and very knowledgeable about wildlife and vegetation we saw along the way.
He also took the time to be sure we were safe and comfortable on the hike to and from the waterfall.

I would highly recommend...
I would highly recommend El Santuario Canopy tours! My family and I (kids 11 and 15) had an amazing time! The guides were amazing, fun and nice, and safety was clearly a priority! Added bonus was the delicious meal at the end! It was an amazing experience we would recommend to anyone looking to zip line in Manuel Antonio!

Great tour for kids and adults alike!
We looked at several tours of coffee and/or chocolate farms around La Fortuna and I’m so happy we chose Eden Chocolate Farm. They are a small organic chocolate farm and the tour was great. Nelson was our guide and he was very informative, answering all of the adult questions while still keeping the kids engaged and learning. He did our tour in Spanish, but also spoke English. The tour was super interactive for kids, they got to taste everything from the raw seeds to the finished chocolate. They got to ride the bike that grinds the beans, try grinding by hand like the Olmec and made their own chocolates, adding different spices and toppings and sampling each. We learned about the history of the fruit and got to make and try an indigenous chocolate drink. All in all it was a great tour, the grounds are beautiful with a nice restaurant overlooking a river. The lunch was also very good, served by a very courteous staff! We all loved it!

We loved this experience...
We loved this experience and would highly recommend it! Our guide was excellent - informative and very funny and engaging. So fun to turn cacao into chocolate by adding our own personally selected ingredients. Coffee was also delicious. Beautiful property and overall a really fun way to spend a couple hours in La Fortuna!

Crocs and butterflies
Our tour was delayed due to the breakdown of the first tour bus. But the company made up for it by adding a brief tour of Puntarenas itself followed by the regular tour once the new bus was available. The crocodiles and the butterflies were the highlights. Long tour but very good.
