This place is GREAT! Yana did such an amazing job, explaining the history and the science behind rum and rum making. She is a class act. The combination of the rum tasting is spot on and the flavor and taste was amazing. The beach is right across the way. We went and got in the blue water, and had a blast. It was just and all around amazing experience.No hangover, We had zero issues booking or finding the location. My only quarrel is the price through the app. This was one of my favorite experiences in Antigua. I would definitely recommend it and I will be going back.

I chose the seafood menu, and I must say, the food was amazing! Even the coconut tart, which I initially thought I wouldn’t enjoy, turned out to be a pleasant surprise. This was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico! Tony was great. He asked why I would like to cook and of course I had to choose alcalpurrias& tembleque. He also showed us how to make arroz blanco con habichuelas y caldo de cerdo. Everything tasted great!! I love cooking and I can’t wait to make this for my friends and family! Tony shared so much history and information. He was funny and entertaining. His bed and breakfast is beautiful and historic. We ate on the patio and it was so cute! Everything was so great and so much more than I expected! When we come back to Puerto Rico I would love to take another class. Hands on is so much better than just looking at a recipe! I HD to give myself props because I already knew how to make achiote oil and sofrito but I learned so much. My husband also loved it. He helped cut the plantains and the root and we both made the alcalpurrias. It was definitely an amazing experience and my favorite part of Puerto Rico!

Perfect Day!

If you’re a foodie (and even if you’re not!) this is such a great way to spend a day in Antigua! From the beautiful location, to the hospitality of your hostess, Nicole, to the easy of booking and then the experience of cooking the most delicious Jerk Chicken meal alongside Chef…PREPARE TO BE IN HEAVEN!! She welcomes you into her home and makes you feel like you’re cooking lunch at a family reunion. Everything we ate was delicious, but I still dream about those pumpkin fritters! I attended with 5 other friends and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Nicole, you thought I was kidding… but I’ll be back!!

Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria, Dominica - Our cooking experience with Chef Daria was so much fun. She was funny, warm, & very detailed in her explanation of all the different dishes & ingredients she had chosen for our cuisine. Even though we were a fairly large group (around 24) we were given the chance to assist her with the preparation of our delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this experience! I must also give a HUGE shoutout to Michael Eugene from Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria. Following our Cooking Class and back to our cruise ship at the port, I realized I left my small backpack (and cellphone) way up the mountain at Chef Daria's. Fortunately, I was able to contact Michael Eugene and explained about my missing backpack. He was willing to drive my pack to me at the port before we sailed. My hero!

Nice store, prices don't always make sense though. You're given time before and after the workshop to shop around. The workshop itself, given in my case by Rudy, is fun and engaging, as well as delicious. You go home with some great chocolate and learn quite a bit about the origin, history ánd making of chocolate.

Best cooking class in Puerto Rico!

This cooking class was amazing. We made sofrito, mofongo baskets stuffed with Caribbean chicken, and guava pastries. It was so much fun, and the teacher was great - funny, engaging, personable, and knowledgeable. We did this class on our last day in town, and I wish we had done it on the first day because he had so many recommendations for things to do and see while we’re here. This is the best kind of class, where you learn something super cool, make something tasty, and meet a person who will be forever a bright spot in your vacation memories. Highly recommend.

We learned to prepare chillo (red snapper), a fresh and delicious Caribbean fish often caught by local Dominican fishermen. The highlight was cooking it in a creamy coconut sauce—a true taste of the island! The instructors were warm and knowledgeable, sharing insights into traditional Taino cooking and the use of fresh, local ingredients. The class is suitable for all ages and skill levels, making it a perfect activity for food-loving travelers, families, or groups of friends. We ended the class by feasting on our own creations, and I have to say—it was one of the best meals of my trip.
