Top Caribbean Cooking Classes

This was a great experience that I would definitely recommend. Nicole was so easy to get along with and gave good clear instructions on what to do. It was a relaxed but fun atmosphere. As for the food, it was all absolutely delicious. I will definitely be making it all again and can’t wait to try it out on my friends and family. The rum tasting was a fabulous and informative extra tough that made it extra special. The shopping list for my next shop is longer than usual as I want to make it all again. If you are thinking about doing this experience, don’t hesitate, book it, you won’t regret it :-)

If you weren’t a rum fan in particular before coming to Antigua you will leave one! Great class you learn about the process and make your own flavoured bottle to keep. Very enjoyable and well done, plus all the rums we got to try as part of the class were very good, 10/10 recommend.

This cooking class in San Germán is honestly one of those experiences you keep thinking about long after it’s over. It feels less like a class and more like being welcomed into someone’s home, which makes sense since it’s set in this gorgeous historic house full of character and charm. Tony, who is both the cooking instructor and the owner of the bed and breakfast where the class takes place, really makes the whole experience. He has this easygoing, welcoming style that instantly puts everyone at ease. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does. One thing that really stood out is how he asks about your food preferences ahead of time and actually builds the menu with you, which makes the whole experience feel personal right from the start. He explains everything clearly without making it feel technical or overwhelming, and he mixes in stories about Puerto Rican food and culture that make it all feel more meaningful. You’re not just following a recipe, you actually understand what you’re making. The food is incredible. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and just feels thoughtfully put together. There’s a great mix of traditional Puerto Rican dishes and modern touches, so it stays interesting the whole time. And sitting down to enjoy everything at the end together is easily one of the best parts. The setting really pushes it over the top. Being in a historic home that also doubles as his bed and breakfast makes it feel intimate and authentic in a way a typical cooking class just can’t match. If you’re even remotely into food or just want a unique experience, this is absolutely worth it. It’s fun, welcoming, and just really, really good.

Felix and the whole staff were amazing - top notch hospitality from walking us around the shops, sharing local chocolates, and carrying the souvenirs while we did the rum tasting. Felix was very knowledgeable of the rums, how they are made, what food to pair with them, and his recommendations were spot on

Hola! Reviews are few and far between, so this one is heartfelt. Exemplary story telling filled with facts, food, and what feels like familia. Worth the yumminess and experience...bar none! Hubby agrees which says a lot as an eater, more than a preparer. Also said, "Don't forget to say something about the Pin̈a Coladas!" #something :) ¡Muchas gracias!

I would highly recommend this excursion. This was one of my first excursions and it set the tone for understanding a bit more of history of the Curaçao food history . Hilma also gave us some insight on some other wonderful food restaurants and tourists places. I don’t think it hurt that I celebrated my birthday with the cook and another participant. One tip you will have fun cooking and learning so much about yourself after the class! Book it 💕

Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria, Dominica - Our cooking experience with Chef Daria was so much fun. She was funny, warm, & very detailed in her explanation of all the different dishes & ingredients she had chosen for our cuisine. Even though we were a fairly large group (around 24) we were given the chance to assist her with the preparation of our delicious lunch. We would highly recommend this experience! I must also give a HUGE shoutout to Michael Eugene from Caribbean Cooking Class with Daria. Following our Cooking Class and back to our cruise ship at the port, I realized I left my small backpack (and cellphone) way up the mountain at Chef Daria's. Fortunately, I was able to contact Michael Eugene and explained about my missing backpack. He was willing to drive my pack to me at the port before we sailed. My hero!

This was such a fun experience. The ladies who led our group were funny and full of knowledge about the process. My husband and I made 2 completely different flavors of rum. It makes for a nice way to remember our trip once home. Be sure to eat before you come - you will try lots of rum while there :)
