Liela was a great host and her place is gorgeous. She took us through several Puerto Rican dishes; and shared the recipes with us. After lunch she took the time to share recommendations on spices, and told us about her favorite restaurants in Old San Juan (our next stop).

This as the best experience we had on our trip to Puerto Rico! The hosts were very welcoming and wonderful people! Neither of us wanted to leave! The fresh ingredients some from their home made the meal delicious. The view of the mountains and the sea while you enjoy a drink and some food adds to the beautiful experience! The next time I am in Puerto Rico I will absolutely be coming back to visit them! I would recommend this experience without hesitation!

Amazing cooking class

It was incredible! We felt welcomed as if we were part of their family. The experience is all hands on with their gentle guidance and expertise as you’re cooking your meal. The views are to die for and the ambiance is so cozy that makes you wish you could stay. Even as a local I left with a vast knowledge of simple and delicious dishes that now I can do at home and share with guests, friends and family. If there’s leftovers they’ll even packed them in a doggy bag for you. He even gave us a sample of spices that they use to marinate steaks with! I’m definitely recommending this experience to others.

The culinary experience was exactly as described, only better! Our host Layla invited us into her scenic home, shared much knowledge of her plantings, and taught us about traditional cuisine. It was a great ‘hands on’ experience.

My wife and I always find a cooking class when we travel and this one ranks right at the top. Lela is amazingly friendly and easy to talk to. She runs the class from her B and B which is gorgeous with spectacular views. The class is in a home setting, which makes it feel intimate and authentic -- it feels like cooking with a friend. A fantastic experience and highly recommended.

This made for such an amazing time!! The hosts are just wonderful kind people, and they made us comfortable and welcome! We chatted, had a cocktail and cook together. They had bite sized food to taste as we cooked, and it ended with this nice meal. It really was wonderful! Now the place... the space and the view, absolutely perfect for this event! Not if, but when I'm back, I will absolutely delighted to bring other guests to have this experience!!!

Absolutely wonderful experience. Rafi and Maria were warm and personable. The view was spectacular, the food was delicious, and the company was welcoming. When I return I will most definitely do this again. I wish them longevity and success with this venture for more than just selfish reasons being that I want to go back but for the couple who I really enjoyed meeting and spending time with.

The hosts were a perfect balance between professional and gracious. We helped prepare a fabulous meal of local ingredients, learned a great deal, and had a fabulous time with the knowledgeable and charming hosts, a local family with an incredible international flare. Leila and Rafi provided the classes in their mountain top home. For my daughter and me, they provided a context to the food we were eating, Puerto Rican history and culture at the same time that we experienced practical cooking tips and techniques. Meeting Rafi and Lela in their home was amazing, especially when the rain cleared. Then we could see across several mountaintops from their sunroof and go into the yard to see thier herbs and seasonings they are growing themselves for their meals. They were incredibly kind and gracious for our outing. We have always wanted to do a cooking outing g on a vacation and this one was remarkable.
