The experience was great but there wasn't really any tours or anything outside of making the chocolate. I feel that its overpriced for what it is

My best friend and I really enjoyed this activity, and it was such a unique experience. We went on a day it was pouring rain, but it honestly made the vibe so much more relaxing since we were pretty much outside under a large tent. We learned about the history of chocolate in Saint Lucia, feeling like we were in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The hotel is a little far from Rodney Bay, but I highly recommend this activity when you come to SLU.

We did the 1 hour chocolate making experience. Very manual but easy and fun. Good setup to learn and get products.

The best chocolate experience

Project Chocolat was such an amazing experience. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Nathan who was so kind and very pleasant. He explained to us that he’s going to prep our stations and then give us a call when ready. Our entire experience was an absolute enjoyable one. Nathan made it so exciting and fun while making chocolate. He and the other team members were so helpful throughout the entire process. Thank you Nathan for your amazing service and we’ll definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting St. Lucia.

Perfect

Off peak season was just me and my husband in the class and it was an amazing experience! Good fun! Felt like a privet 1-1 class. Perfect for our wedding anniversary.

Only giving 1 star...

Varlina_J, Jul 2024
Only giving 1 star because I was unable to do the experience. I tried to ask the concierge at the site if there was a way I could reschedule for a later time due to returning to Lucia and she told me no. If possible I would love a credit for my future visit? My driver was late that wasn't my fault.

Chocolate in paradise

The chocolate making experience was beautifully prepared and presented. My girlfriend and I had an amazing time and the food was fantastic. The hosts were very pleasant and knowledgeable!

Lovely experience.

Chanel_F, May 2024
I really did have fun making the chocolate bar and our host was great but I would have liked to have seen more into how they manufacture/process the cocoa maybe. That is possibly part of the main tour they offer? The grounds were small but beautiful and all the staff were approachable and fabulous. We walked down to one of the tents and met two staff who, despite getting ready to leave work for the day, took time to show us a ripe cocoa pod and what the cocoa looks dry when we enquired. 10/10 for the entire staff and a 9/10 experience.

Great experience!

Tara_E, Apr 2024
The history and information from the guide was on point, he was knowledgeable and at the same time knew how to add sone humor he was a fun guy. I will recommend this tour to everyone who visits and even locals as well. I now have more respect for the people who manually make cocoa sticks and balls.

Fun time.

Great experience with good food on site. I would do it again!! A little pricey but definitely worth the experience.

Great experience

Had an excellent review on the history of chocolate and the production process. The host was great and well spoken and very informative

The actual chocolate...

Paul_T, Apr 2024
The actual chocolate making session was great. Informative and all enjoyed it for the part we did. Beforehand: We arrived early to eat at the market restaurant… overpriced, pre-prepared basic food and confusion between staff. We were then asked if we could join the earlier class. No problems, we were told they would tell us when to go. 10 mins later we were casually told to go. Class had started and we were added on with bowls and ingredients arriving. Missed the first part about the cocoa plant, seeds etc. Great set up and lovely location but disorganized.

Average activity lacked substance and variety

Meron_P, Apr 2024
Although sold as a 1 hour activity the actual chocolate making part, which is good fun takes no more than 20 minutes. The rest of the time is spent hanging around and waiting with little to do other than browse a few limited shops. Glad I visited hotel chocolat but felt generally underwhelmed by the event.

Fantastic family experience

Cerina_P, Mar 2024
Fantastic experience learning about chocolate and the hard work it takes to make the delicious treat we all love to eat. The market shows the versatility of the plant displaying how using all parts of the plants for other goods as well as the food with coca infused was tremendous.

Marina was very informative and fun! It was a great experience learning the history and making our own chocolate bar!! I would recommend this activity for anyone!

Worth going!

Abigael_M, Feb 2024
Did not expect to learn as much as we did on the history of chocolate and how different kinds are made. The people were really friendly and knowledgeable and the shop offered a lot of gifts/souvenirs

Fun fun

Rose_C, Feb 2024
Once in a lifetime experience. Fab restaurant. Making the chocolate bar needs a lot of elbow strength! Chocolate tasted weird at first. Wiuld have liked a long talk about the estate andvyhe grand. When get it home put in fridge as melts. Toilets down many steps. Why no chocolates at the end grrr

Great time!

Patrick_F, Feb 2024
Lots of information given, and the history of chocolate was great to learn. Food there was amazing-overall if you are heading to to the island, you need to check this place out.

Loved it

Kathryn_K, Feb 2024
The chocolate was delicious, Marina was very knowledgeable, and everyone was very nice. Great experience

Yummy and Fun.

David_V, Jan 2024
My wife Veronica and I did the bean to bar session and really enjoyed it. Great staff! Learned a lot. Bonus was we had a delicious souvenir chocolate bar to take home. Unfortunately for some reason, it did not make it home. lol

Well worth the time

George_K, Jan 2024
It was interesting to learn how chocolate is made. You have to work at it to get it to the right consistency. I would have appreciated a demonstration of how it’s picked and what it looks like when it’s ripe etc. I have to say they overcharge for the bars they want to sell. $10 for a 70gram bar?

Do it! You will have so much fun!

Nazaret_B, Jan 2024
If are not sure whether to do this, I am here to tell you that you should! My husband and I did the 'Bean to Bar Experience' and loved every minute of it! Also, loved the grounds around the experience and great for photos. we also shopped at the store and bought more chocolate, drinks, hand lotion and even soap! I might go back to buy one of their signature candles coz It smelled so good! Do it! and if you have time definitely go to the Rabot restaurant at Hotel choclat! the view is stunning, the service is great and EVERYTHING was delicious!
