The Montevecchio Isolani winery has been producing wine since 1456, it is one of the oldest wineries in the Bolognese hills. We will welcome you to our historic estate, where you will visit the vineyards and the cellar, discover the production phases of our organic wines and everything about our terroir. at the end of the Tour we will welcome you in our tasting room where we will let you taste 4 wines from our selection accompanied by a platter of mortadella and cheese. The company extends over 13 hectares of vineyards located 210 meters above sea level, on the first slopes of the Emilian Apennines, on land clay-sandy sedimentary under the municipality of Monte San Pietro. It falls in the Pignoletto DOCG area of the Bolognesi hills. The main cultivated varieties are: Grechetto gentle, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. You will start your day by visiting a dairy farm to learn something new about the production processes of Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, from cows to wheels. Great time for our family

Luca was a very gracious host and knew much about the area and local cuisine. Shared tips on local restaurants after the cooking class which we tried the following day. The pasta we made in the class was also delicious but I wish we had time to make the sauce(s) as well. The tiramisu was excellent.

Something for everyone

This tour was a great sample of Bologna food. The kids really enjoyed all the dishes and learned to like some new foods. The veal scallopini was a special new favorite. Our 3 year old couldn’t get enough of the bolognese. I would definitely recommend this tour to families as well as others who would like to get a sample of bolognese food.

Delicious Experience

The cooking class experience was spectacular. My husband and my son (13 yr old) really loved it too. Claudia and Francesca were extremely hospitable and knowledgeable about their craft. Bologna food and wine tour 😍

We had one night in beautiful Bologna and this food tour was exactly what we wanted. Our tour took us to small stores and the market area. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we built our appertivo along the way. Sitting down later to share our local meats, cheeses, local balsamic vinegar with great wine was perfecto. Our tour then moved on to a local restaurant where we had local specialty pastas ❤️ of course even though we were full we had to sample gelato! What a wonderful evening learning about the local food and wine and so much more. The next day we returned to some of those spots for small bites and shopping! Do not hesitate to book, bring your appetite!

The trip was well...

The trip was well organized, the driver was professional, van was comfortable, and the tours were all amazing. Impossible to be hungry after this tour. The Lambrusco tour was great, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cheese and Parmesan farm were incredible, and eating lunch in the vinegar producers home was a surreal homey experience.

Perfect introduction to Bologna and its food & wine!

We took this tour our first night in Bologna. It was the perfect introduction to the city and the food & wine from the region. Domenico was a wonderful guide. Our family is gluten intolerant and has to eat gluten free. He was great making sure that each stop could accommodate our dietary needs. It was like the best progressive dinner ever, eating and drinking at different places with walking around the city mixed in between. Highly recommend!

A great tour for car enthusiasts!

This was a very cool experience. Being able to see the current production line and museums for Lamborghini and Pagani was incredible. Ferrari fell a little flat since there is no guide for the museum, but it was still a good experience seeing their F1 cars and other museum pieces. And there was an opportunity to sit in a Ferrari. Lunch was absolutely delicious. The group was a good size and the mini bus was nice. This tour is a must for car enthusiasts - just getting to see some of the most rare and unique cars in the world was incredible. I am not a car enthusiast but I was traveling with one and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, as did he.

This trip/ tour was worth every single penny. Luca picked us up and we stopped at a parmesean cheese farm and saw how it was made. Our next stop was a meat factory with so much prosciutto. We got to eat a variety of different meat & drink Lambrusco! Our last stop was my favorite - a balsamic vinegar farm. This tour was perfect - probably my favorite thing I’ve ever done.

This tour was a highlight of our trip! Our guide Stefi was so friendly and helpful, giving all participants tips about the best places to see and eat. The link provided for where to meet in the morning unfortunately did not work for us leading to some confusion on our end, but Stefi reached out to us to make sure we made it there for the tour which was so appreciated! The entire experience from start to finish was fantastic- from the food, drinks, views and the company- I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Fantastic Class for Lasagna and Gelato

Our cooking class making lasagna and gelato with Monia was fantastic. She explained each step very well, and was happy to assist when we needed assistance or had any questions. We were only in Bologna for one day, but we would definitely take another class with her. Also, we are excited to take the recipes home to make the again.
