Jonathan was an exceptional guide in every way. During the tour, we saw key sites in the historic Bologna district. His tour introduced both history but also current events. He taught us about cultural icons of the region and then educated us on the legendary cuisine of Bologna. By the end of the tour, we felt like we were ready to go back and "get lost" as Jonathan says. We took his advice on future explorations including restaurants and attractions, including the amazing walk to San Luca Basilica. We can't recommend Jonathan enough. He is outstanding at his profession and a wonderful person to spend the afternoon with.

The tour we did today with Johnathan of Bologna was excellent. It was interesting informative and really enjoyable. We learnt so much about Bologna and Emilia -Romagna region. He took us to many places we would not have found by ourselves. He gave us lots of tips for places to go and places to avoid. Johnathan’s before and after tour service was impeccable as he provided lots of information. I would highly recommend Johnathan to anyone who would like a genuine and informative tour by a passionate and friendly local. Learning about Bologna University was a highlight and we loved the history Johnathan shared with us. His local knowledge of food and wine in Bologna was outstanding. Louise was our guide. My wife walks slower and more careful due to mild physical issues. Our guide was able to tailor our tour to avoid long distances. We were able to stop twice and sit to allow my wife to rest. Our experience in seeing and learning about Bologna was made easier by Louise. We never felt rushed and the tour was very informative. I would definitely go with a private tour if you desire a personal touch. If someone in your party may not be able to keep up with a tour group this would be another reason to get a private tour. This was an incredible way to experience Bologna! My guide was knowledgeable and engaging, bringing the city’s history to life as we explored the charming streets of the old Jewish Ghetto and learned about the famous leaning tower and the fascinating history of the city’s clockmaker. The pace was perfect, with plenty of time to take in the details and ask questions. I left with a much deeper appreciation for Bologna’s culture and hidden stories. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city!

Leonardo was a pleasure to be with for a 3 hour private tour and he knows a lot of art history. We asked for this perspective and Leonardo wove it into the history of Bologna very effectively. It was very interesting to understand the changes in the art from medieval to renaissance and baroque.

We chose to have the two hour tour of Bologna. One could choose either two, four, six hour tour. Jonathan was our tour guide who was very informative. Eventhough it was pouring rain, he was on time and eager to help us learn about his city. He said there is so much to show us that we weren’t able to learn about in our short time. He also took us to a good restaurant for lunch and talked with the waiter to make sure we were taken care of and left. It was very educational.

Giorgia showed me some famous sites in city center. She was flexible. I wanted a Starbucks coffee so she took me there. We walked around. I wanted some souvenirs so she found a shop that had a lot of souvenirs. We stopped when I asked to do so. Very nice and easy to be with. I wish I could take her to Venice with me this weekend.

Maria Emilia fue excelente guía, ofreció flexibilidad en el lugar de inicio del tour, recogernos en el hotel o vernos en una plaza cercana. Después nos guió por las partes más importantes de la ciudad, sabe mucho de la ciudad, del arte y de la historia. Las pláticas con ella fueron interesantes y se nota que está platicando de un tema que le apasiona. Aparte de eso, trajo al tour su cámara y ofreció tomarnos fotos para después pasárnoslas por correo. Excelente tour, nos quedamos con una muy buena experiencia de Bologna. Saludos.
