My daughter and I had a wonderful time learning from Alessia! She's an excellent host and a great teacher. Our group spoke English Italian and German and she managed to help everyone. The pasta was delicious!

This was the most fun and I feel like I learned a new skill. Not only was it a fun experience, but now I can go home and cook for my family as a souvenir instead of a keychain. This was 10/10. Alessia opened her home to us and made this a personable experience

One of our favorite memories from traveling to Italy! Alessia was such a great host and every detail of the cooking process was explained and showed thoroughly. We traveled with 7 adults and a 5 year old and Alessia included our 5 year old to make her feel special. We were included in all parts of the process and the final result tasted incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially being in her own kitchen and getting to create Alessia’s family recipes even with family heirloom cooking items. Highly recommend this experience! A little of the city center (we decided to walk), but beyond worth it! We got to meet another small family during the experience and this just made it even more fun. Grateful to have found Alessia and I’m glad we did it!

Rude and confuse

Alessia made some confusion with the booking, and I learned she was not available 3 hours before the scheduled time. Instead of apologizing, she blamed me, insisting I was the one who canceled the experience. I had to call Viator and open a support case, and I'm waiting for a refund. I understand mistakes happen, but there's no excuse for being rude and blaming others for your own mistakes.

This was a great experience! There were nine of us in the group and we were warmly welcomed into Alessia's home. There was a lovely atmosphere and everybody clearly enjoyed themselves. We learned how to make tortelloni (stuffed with ricotta and parsley). Making the dough was great fun and very informative. Each step was expertly explained by Alessia and we learned many techniques. We also used the dough to make tagliatelle which we ate with Alessia's delicious ragù. For dessert we made a really lovely tiramisu. The end result was a pile of empty plates (and wine glasses). Thanks Alessia! I definitely recommend this class and my family will thank you too!

Class is in a residential area behind a gate. Chef Alesia is a wonderful teacher. She takes her time to explain exactly how to make each dish. She shows and explains quick tips and is right there to help you. The food we made was amazing. The teramusu was the best ever. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time at Alessia's cooking class! She graciously welcomed us and the rest of the group to her home, provided us all with footwear and aprons for the lesson, and we got to learn more about her experience and our fellow classmates before jumping into the lesson. We made 2 different pastas, the regional tortellini and tagliatelle. Alessia made the sauce, but provided us with a recipe so we could make it at home as well. While the pasta was cooking, we also made tiramisu, which turned out lovely. When we are the pasta, Alessia shared a selection of local wines to go with the pasta (and soda for the one teen in the group) I recommend using Uber, taking a cab, or riding the bus, since parking nearby appeared to be for the residents of the complex. The apartment was able to comfortably accommodate all 7 of us plus Alessia and her cat for the evening class. Alessia gave very clear instructions along with details about how regionally specific the different pasta types were. The lesson was part individual effort, part team effort. Everyone, young and old, enjoyed ourselves. It was a great opportunity to have a conversation with a Bologna local like Alessia and with other tourists. The whole lesson was full of good conversation, and by the end we were all pleasantly full of delicious pasta. My spouse and I highly recommend taking a class with Alessia if you can!

We had such a great time. Alessia was knowledgeable, a great teacher and even gave us the recipes to try at home. After making pasta and tiramisu we were able to enjoy the fruits of our labors with a great sit down dinner, complete with wine! We've even made the tiramisu at home and everyone raved about it. A definite must do if you are in bologna. Please note the location is in an apartment complex, down a gravel driveway but not super hard to find. Don't worry she will be looking for you!

Our tiramisu we made was the BEST I’ve had in bologna! good morning Margot, in the description it says that I have pets, my cat usually sleeps on the sofa during the course without bothering me, if you had difficulty finding my house unfortunately I don't know what to tell you because the address is clear and if you're lost I don't know what to do, next time set the navigator better. If the group was boring I'm sorry but it's a cooking class and not a theater class. the focus of the course is the lesson and the food which you didn't even mention in your review so I reply with OK.

We loved this experience on our final day in Bologna! Alessia was kind, informative and a great teacher! And the social aspect was quite a treat - getting to meet people from all over the world who were interested in making authentic Bolognese cuisine - it was so much fun! Would recommend for other travelers!
