Beautiful Bologna

Our guide Christina not only showed us historic buildings but pictures of how the town would have looked historically, and she guided us through the roads and pointed out local foods. The pace was perfect for my 80 year old mother and the guide accommodated us by finding a few stops where she could sit.

Not a big take away of Bologna

The guide was wonderful person but her English was not very good so sometimes it was hard to understand her. For the money it really was not worth it. Felt the background of the places we saw was not very complete especially from an historical prospective. The guide was on the phone for long time during the tour and was socializing with other guides verses focused on the experience. She did not realize we had food tasting as part of the experience so gave me the food voucher at the end of the tour and I did not know where to go to redeem it. She was slow walking and I wish we had cover more places.

The oldest University, centuries of history dating back to the 13th century. The energy and welcoming feel of the walls and it’s people. Loved food, the churches and the towers. A college town full of life and rich in history! Loved it!

They changed the time for morning to afternoon at last min and tour was 2 hrs vs what we thought was 3 hrs. Guide was knowledgeable just a little dry.

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. After three hours of walking through Bologna learning about the history and the culture we felt like we were locals. I recommend you take this tour the first day you’re in bologna so that you’ll feel comfortable moving around the city center. I grade this tour A+.
