What are people saying about Bayeux

Great tour and guide
Sophie was a wonderful guide. Gave us a great deal of detail and history and there was enough time to explore and rest or have free time. Picked us up right outside out hotel and it was a beautiful drive there.
A lot of the visit was not what I expected and I likely should have checked for holidays but it was extremely busy. So many people visiting and such narrow walkways. It was exceedingly touristy inside with souvenirs and ice cream every few feet. If you arrive expecting epic congestion you’ll be fine. You can also just admire it from the outside. Many do.

D-Day Tour At Is Best 🏍️🇫🇷🇬🇧
Such an amazing day! 🏍️🇫🇷🇬🇧
Wow, what a great way to see the D-Day landing beaches. Our guide, John, was awesome — funny, friendly, and so knowledgeable. He really brought the history to life with great stories and facts, while keeping everything fun and easygoing.
Riding on 'Monty' made it feel even more special and quite nostalgic and gave us a totally different perspective of the area. John was a fantastic guide and is really passionate about sharing the history of such a historical event.
An unforgettable experience for me and my daughter from start to finish. Honestly, couldn’t recommend this tour highly enough. Thank you for the memories ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had a wonderful tour of...
Had a wonderful tour of Mont-Saint-Michel with Rose. She adeptly and efficiently nagivated us through large crowds and provided insightful information throughout the process. She was very patient with a mixed age group and their varying needs. Would highly recommend!

Book This Tour!!!
We booked this tour because we love the history of WW2 and it was wonderful. Guillaume was our tour guide and he was amazing. So knowledgeable and he even inserted some personal stories of his own. The meeting point is centrally located in Bayeux center. We first went to Omaha Beach, then stopped at the American Cemetery. Go into the chapel there and look up! We visited Utah Beach, Point du Hoc and were allowed to roam for an hour in St. Marie Eglise were we got lunch. Our guide told us such interesting stories about what happened right where we were standing in front of the church. We also visited Carentan where we went into a church where
two American medics brought both American and German soldiers there to help. Guillaume was amazing. The van was very comfortable and there were about 10 other people on the tour. Highly Recommend!!!!

Val was a great guide for...
Val was a great guide for our full day tour. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites we visited and had information to explain each stop on the tour. He had many pictures for each stop to explain what happened there and information about the people involved, which helped to further our understanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would highly recommend this tour.

Outstanding Tour
We consider ourselves really blessed to have chosen Neptune Battle Tours for our visit to Normandy. Our guide was "Boy". (He is also the owner of Neptune Tours!!)
Boy was phenomenal! I couldn't imagine a more professional, flexible, or knowledgeable guide for our visit to Normandy.
We (my wife and I) started the day by getting off our train from Paris in the wrong town!! (Caen instead of Bayeux!!) Boy didn't hesitate at all. Once we realized why we couldn't find each other outside the Bayeux train station, he was immediately back on the road, headed to Caen to find his lost clients! No recriminations, no smirking, just polite and efficient flexibility to make things feel seamless to us.
Some skills and traits that Boy has that we felt at EVERY stop on the day:
Knowledgeable - Boy knows the Normandy Campaign. Not just D-Day...but the Normandy Campaign. He opened our own perspectives to understand a much larger picture than we had when starting the day.
Personal Knowledge - Boy has met people. Veterans of D-Day. Veterans of the Campaign. Historians. Family members. Foundation leaders. His gentle manner and genuine interest has helped him to accumulate a TON of information, background, personal anecdotes, and different perspectives on the history all around you in that area.
Manner - Boy shares his wealth of knowledge without ever appearing to lecture or seem to be reading any type of script or check-list. He truly shares what he knows in a way that makes what could be an overwhelming flow of info become a series of personal observations about what we were seeing.
Pleasant - Boy is just a nice guy! He never forced conversation, or allowed awkward silences. It was just a fun day with someone we felt we could call "friend" by the time we said good-bye at the train station. (On time, and at the correct station!!!) It was our very first private tour, 1-on-1 with a guide. We were a bit nervous and wondering about spending a day with a stranger. Well, that "stranger" thing stopped about 5 minutes after he picked us up. And it never felt forced.
We felt all of those skills throughout the very full, but unhurried, day. I understand why his reviews are all so positive.
We strongly recommend planning your trip to the D-Day beaches so that you can engage Boy for a day.

Canadian DDay tour
A wonderfully thorough tour with Adrian & Pauline. Adrian’s knowledge & passion for the subject was presented in a respectful & thoughtful way. The 8 hours flew by as we traced the progress of Canadian soldiers on DDay & the following days. Highly recommend this tour.

DDay remembered thanks to a wonderful guide
What a great experience with the help of our guide Lucy. From pickup to drop off nothing was missed and in a challenging overly busy period we met our objective of getting to each site for experience that I was looking for. Our guide was informative, pleasant, and really took care to make sure each member of the group was able to enjoy all of the locations we wanted to see and come away with a great memory. What made it impactful is the guide truly cared for each person and saw we were not lost in all the busy activities which brings perhaps the most people to DDay celebration in Normandie. Highly recommend the company and the guide and to do the tour b if you want to avoid crowds choose a day other than June 6. But we managed well. Bring attire for the weather as we experienced three seasons in one day. Thank you Lucy

Great Day at the Monastery
Wonderful tour highly recommend Emily. We met our guide Emily and what was to be a party of 8 ended up to be 4. Long story short the tour ended up as a private tour with just Emily and us. Emily was so knowledgeable about the monastery, the history and overall general knowledge of the area. Highly recommend

Once in a life time trip
This tour is a wonderful way to get around all the important sites. Your guide will point out details you will not see otherwise.
Our guides Remy and Thomas were knowledgeable, entertaining, and brought the historic events to life. We couldn’t imagine our time in Normandy without them!

Exceptional tour guide
Pierre was phenomenal. So very knowledgeable about not only D Day but the local town as well. He was obviously passionate about what he does and was friendly and engaging throughout the entire day. The tour was perfect blend of guided information and free time to explore the various sites as well. Our train was delayed and like the description states, he did in fact wait for us before leaving to get started. Would absolutely recommend. Pierre was amazing!!

DDay tour with Pascal-Highly recommend
Excellent tour! Our guide, Pascal was very knowledgeable, so interesting. We not only visited all the D-Day sites, but we were able to understand so much more from Pascal. The tour was amazing, moving, and the all day tour was the perfect length. Also, I had the best almond eclair at our lunch stop at a boulangerie.
