It was a very touching experience to learn and be right where this event in history occurred. It rained when we went and it was a reminder of how it rained the day it really happened.
What a day! We were three people for nine hours of touring, history, and exceptional sites. We were so lucky to have the option to say what we wanted to see and go from there. David was an exceptional guide.
Long day. Area is more expansive than what you may think. Guide can allow for customization but limited by distances and time.
Ellen was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all (of our many) questions. The itinerary she put together was perfect and her recommendations for which museums to visit were spot on.
It's comprehensive, yet customizable. Book in advance and note that the price can vary among tour providers. You will learn a lot, and much of what you learn will be surprising.
The tour by Normandy Sightseeing Tours was done extremely well. Fustin, our guide, arrived in time and was well prepared for the “English weather” we were going to experience the remainder of the day. His knowledge and side stories all during the day had all four of us completely engagaed. Fustin was also able to get us into a couple of places, including an old farm home with some history we all found fascinating. Fustin’s knowledge of the history provided us a Master Class on D Day. Thank you! One of the best experiences ever! Four BIG thumbs up for Fustin!

Helene was our guide and was terrific. This tour was flexible with destinations so we were never rushed. We could spend more time at locations based on what we liked. The paratrooper museum was great and instead of Utah beach we went to Arromanches where the British and Canadians landed and part of the artificial reef still survives.

Our tour was informative and flexible covering the areas of interest of the WW II sites. The weather did not cooperate but our guide Stephan accommodated us and was prepared. Would recommend.
This tour is not for the faint of heart as it covers so much history, both heroic and tragic. Our guide, Faustin, was amazing. His historical knowledge was superb and he guided us with respect for the subject matter as well as good humor. It was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We learned so much we didn’t know about the planning and action of D-day and beyond, without being overwhelmed. We highly recommend this tour.
You could spend days in Normandy, but this is a great tour for a day's overview. Jeremy was a great guide who was able to share a wealth of knowledge with the 4 of us. Highly recommend.

This private tour is great for the DDay enthusiast who has quite a bit of knowledge already or has preferred sites that don’t line up in the traditional tour. It was amazing and we covered much more

Fantastic tour…Helene, our guide for the day was amazing! She was so knowledgeable, happy, and enthusiastic about giving us a very comprehensive account of all the happenings on 6 June 1944! Our visit to Ste Mere-Église, Ponte du Hoc, the Landing Beaches - Utah and Omaha, and to the American Cemetery were all quite moving as we relived the landings and all that our Boys (US), not to forget the Brits and Canadians who landed at Gold, Juno and Sword (we did not visit these 3 beaches on this tour) went through just trying to make it ashore and capture the beachhead for follow on troops…WOW! Highly recommend this tour and if you get Helene as your guide, well you are lucky…she is great!
This was a wonderful tour Our tour guide. Brice was fantastic. His English was perfect. We learned more history in eight hours than we learned in all the years of our schooling .

Beaches are far apart and it is much easier to get where you’re going if you have a guide. Our guide was knowledgeable about the aeea and the WWII Normandy battlefields. He even took us to Gold Beach (British) so that we could see the remains of the Mulberry harbor. This is well worth it.
We were very pleased with our private tour. Our guide was very well prepared and knowledgeable, and also adept at managing through a rather crowded situation at the ceremony. Excellent tour... Got to tailor the places we wanted to visit and time spent at each. Jermey was a great guide and had lots of good information about Normandy, D-Day, etc for adults and kids. Our group included 4 kids ages, 5, 7, 9 and 11. Jermey was very patient with kids.

Our day tour of the Normandy landing beaches and battlefields was the highlight of a 9 day trip to France. We’ve been on many tours and have learned that a tour guide can elevate or deflate any tour.
Our guide, Rose, could not have made any this tour any better. She was amazing from the moment she picked us up outside our AirBNB in Bayeux and began our drive to Pointe Du Hoc through lesser traveled local roads and giving us a visual touch of Normandy as it was during the time of the Allied landings 80 years ago.
The depth of her knowledge of the D-Day landings and localities throughout the day kept our family of four riveted from Pointe Du Hoc, to Utah and Omaha beaches and finally the Normandy American Cemetery.
Rose timed our visit to the Normandy American Cemetery so that we able to watch the daily lowering of both American flags at 4pm. It was another touch that revealed Rose’s expertise for this tour and for this region of France.
If you do visit the Normandy American Cemetery, we highly recommend being in attendance for the American flag lowering ceremony. It is an incredible experience.
