Breezy way to explore Barcelona

We really enjoyed our tuk tuk zip about Barcelona City, a really fun and much breezier way to explore the city. This was the end of our stay so it was nice to have a break from walking. Our friendly tour guide was from the UK and it was like having a friend showing us around. He was clearly very passionate and knowledgeable about Barcelona, we loved it and would highly recommend this as an experience.

We enjoyed our tour of Montserrat. Alex was our tour guide. He picked us up from our hotel in Barcelona and drove us by large van to Montserrat. We took the cable car up the mountain and purchased the tickets when we got there (15 euro each). Once on top, we visited the basilica and then had free time. There was an option to take the funicular to the top of the mountain. There was also time to walk the mountain trail to a look out point ( 25 min walk there and 20 min back). There are also gift shops and a cafe, the gelato was very good. Montserrat is beautiful and Álex was a great guide. He answered all questions and was very knowledgeable and interesting. He drove us back to the hotel after the tour.

Joao picked us up from...

Joao picked us up from the cruise port and took us by large van to many sights in Barcelona. We got out several times to take photos and explore a bit. It was a great way to have a cruise port pick up and see the city before checking in the hotel. The pick up from the was very easy and he communicated via WhatsApp. He dropped us off at our hotel at the end of the tour. Joao was very friendly and knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Barcelona. Highly recommend!

Once Lost but Now Found

It’s long so wear comfortable shoes. It can be a bit sunny so wear sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Although much of it is shaded so you don’t have to be in the sun the whole time. Montse was our tour guide. She is a local and gave a lot of background and history on the Catalan culture. She gave us her opinions both good and bad on the Catalans and the Spanish government. She was very knowledgeable about the history and time periods of the buildings we saw. We saw Picassos hang out, the Roman columns, Jewish neighborhood and all sides of catedral. She ducked us into courtyards, into open doors of apartment buildings and into tiny streets so she could explain the “why” of their existence. She was very thorough and very funny. She kept us laughing. I had been to the Gothic Quarter several times, but just always felt lost. This time I was never lost and I found out so many interesting things about the history and culture of that part of Barcelona.. Thank you Montse.

Awesome tour with Gaspar.

The trip was awesome. The views from Montserrat were incredible. We went to Mass at the church and it was spiritual. The boys and girls choir were amazing. Our guide Gasper was so nice and informative. He gave us a lot of information about La Sagrada Família before we entered the church.

Patricia is the best!

I had an absolutely wonderful private city tour with Patricia. I spent four hours with her as she showed me Barcelona from one end of the city to the other, and the time went by so fast. One of the highlights was seeing the incredible growth and evolution of Gaudí’s architecture, from the first home he designed for the Güell family to his later masterpieces, including Casa Batlló and Casa Milà. Patricia brought so much knowledge and context to everything I saw, which made the city feel even more alive. I also enjoyed a delightful morning coffee and tapas lunch, which made the day feel relaxed, personal, and memorable. Patricia was knowledgeable, kind, and wonderfully patient with my desire to speak Spanish, even though her English was much better than my Spanish! It was a day I’ll always remember, and I highly recommend her.
