Montserrat is an absolute must see when in Barcelona, and a private tour with a guide as knowledgeable as Joan was incredible. Not only was he able to tell us all of the historical and “fun facts” about virtually every aspect of Montserrat, but he was also able to speak to the Montserrat staff, get us tickets and get us to the head of the line. Well worth the extra euros.

Tour was fantastic. Vincent, our tour guide was a total gem. Picked us up on time and was very knowledgeable about the area. There was only 5 people in our group. The pace of the day was spot on. We were not rushed and saw amazing architecture and sights. I highly recommend Vincent - we could not have asked for a better experience. Lunch and the gelato by the sea in Sitiges was great as well.

Fabulous Day, plenty of history, surprising art & knowledgable guide

Highly recommended tour, our knowledgable local guide Luis, collected us exactly on time from our hotel & whisked us out of the City for an amazing day exploring Girona, an ancient town filled with centuries of visible history yet still vibrant & active with people living & working there today. An absolute must see for any GOT fans. Luis was very knowledgable about the history of Girona both modern & ancient & the small group tour was most suitable among the busy narrow streets. Our restaurant for lunch was really lovely & service was fast & friendly. The Dali Museum was an absolutely must see attraction. Wow! Luis, was clearly passionate about the artist with a depth of knowledge and insights that were invaluable to our experience of the museum. Every time he stopped to speak everyone around us also stopped to listen to his insights, this did not in any way detract from our experience as he was completely attentive to our groups needs but it did highlight the benefit of attending with a professional guide to enable the most meaningful engagement with the incredibly talented & complex works of Dali.

A+++ Tour with Hugo!

Hugo was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide!!! We were so glad we booked this tour. Hugo provided so much information while being so friendly and polite. We would definitely recommend Hugo! We wish the tour was an hour longer and a microphone/headset setup would have been beneficial at the monastery as depending on where you were standing, it was hard to hear him.

This was an excellent way to delve into the rich history of a unique area of northern Spain and Southern France! Our guide, Ivan, was (is?) personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to spend a day with. He kept all of the members of our tour (including younger twins) involved and engaged; he’s to be commended for keeping us on schedule, while allowing us time to enjoy the various treasures of the areas. I would recommend this tour for anyone remotely interested in the region!

Excellent wine, food, and fun

This was a really fun, unique way to see Barcelona. The tour leader was knowledgeable, fun, and approachable, and the selections were unique and felt much more local than anything I would have been able to source on my own for a short trip. The wine and food were nicely portioned, and the team was able to accommodate dietary restrictions relatively easily. This was a great value and a very fun way to access a more locally authentic experience.

If you want a terrific tour of the breath-taking Montserrat, look no further. Marc was an outstanding guide— wonderfully knowledgeable, clear and friendly. He explained many options to do during our free time at the monastery. We loved taking the funicular to the top. Glad we thought to take a time-lapse video of the ride — that will be a treasure. Make sure to stop by the white-tented market to sample the many cheeses, as well as the fig bread. We wished we had reserved a ticket for the boys’ choir— but they had sold out. In summary, A+ grade for the whole outing. Thank you, Marc!

Magnificent Experience

Communication with In Out Barcelona Tours before the tour was magnificent. Our guide Pablo let us know exactly when he would pick us up and answered questions via What's App before the trip. The vehicle seated 8 and was very comfortable. Pablo was a fantastic tour guide, providing wonderful historical information and supplementing his verbal information with historical pictures on his iPhone. He was cognizant of our needs as older travelers and went to get the car an extra time for us to keep us from having to walk so far.
