Great tour

Yvonne_M, Sep 2024
Really great tour! Our tour guide was ver knowledgeable and we learned so many things about the beautiful city of Barcelona. Our guide also took time to tend to those who couldn’t walk as fast as others on the tour. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome tour!

I really enjoyed the walking tour and then the bus tour. Our guide, Miriana, was awesome! She knew a lot about Barcelona, very informative. I highly recommend her and this tour.

We were lucky to have a wonderful guide, Jessika, who really gave us a good history lesson throughout the neighborhoods we visited. We didn't go inside any of the places on the itinerary which is perfect for me because I don't always enjoy visiting historical sites. This way I made a list of what to go back for and how to get there. I think thay it was well worth the $60 I paid not to mention I got 7,000 steps out of it.

A little taste of the Gothic Quarter by foot and amazing view of the city by bus and cable car.

Sara was an amazing guide! We arrived a few minutes late, but the staff kindly caught us right up with the group just steps away. The tour office is inside the bus terminal itself, so find any entrance and head to platform 19 area inside the building. Tour was awesome! Sara keep everyone together and made sure those who needed a little extra time were accounted for and had a headstart on the group when necessary. Highly recommend this tour to see highlights.

Good tour

You are meeting at a tour office in bus station. Arrived early, checked in and were told to wait 5 min. More people were entering and checking in. We noticed they were receiving vouchers and audio sets. So did they mean you’re all set or we’re not giving out anything yet so get back in line?! We did get back in long line and we eventually received items. We did not end up in English only but Spanish and English. Hopefully info wasn’t abbreviated and removing a star for the frustration of check in. Our guide was great and warm!

Long walks with a good payoff

Robin_H, Jul 2023
We had to walk by one of the attractions to get to the meeting point. Maybe the meeting point can be changed and use the bus more during the tour.

Worthwhile Tour of Barcelona

GEORGE_C, Jul 2023
Jonathon was excellent tour guide with lots information about the sites we visited. He also offered bonus perspective with helpful local recommendations for cafes and stores.

While the tour was pretty good and we were able to see a good deal of the city and hear about it's history; It was highly unacceptable that the tour guide left us, and at a separate time another group behind; we had to call the main office (placed on hold for 20 min.), take a cab to a meeting spot, and eventually reconnect with the tour guide. When we met up with her she was unapologetic and made excuses as to how she went looking for us, but could not find us. Maybe with a good tour guide the experience would have been great but not with the one we had; if you sign up for it, don't wear sandles and bring your walking shows, there is a lot of walking.

Deceiving

Andrea_L, May 2019
We purchased a tour in Spanish, which is our mother tongue, as the tour gave the option. Although we understand English perfectly we rather the tour was is the local language, which happened to be our mother tongue. When we get to the meeting point we are first asked as per of the group of we all understand English, to which we complained. What the guide did was simply repeat stuff in Spanish after he had said it isn’t English, making the whole group loose time and only giving half of the information he had given in English. For ease, we decided it was best to have the tour fully in English. Then the tour guide either knew very little about the places we looked that or was simply not interested. I kept googling information. He would not even mention the year or time during which things were built and given it was a tour through the historic gothic quarter, I believe this to be essential information. Thirdly, our tour included entrance fee to the cathedral. Given it was Holy Week we were not able to go in as there was a service. We returned on a later time that same day to gain entry. This is poor organization by the agency as they should have remove the cathedral from the tour information, or schedule it at a time when we can enter (it’s not like Holy Week and mass services happened unexpectedly). Afterwards, we went to Montjuic, which supposedly included the cable car, which we could not take for safety reasons due to heavy winds. There had been heavy winds all week and there was no disclaimer that this could happen. It wasn’t until various other people in the group complained that they offered a complementary brunch in Montjuic, which was terrible. We ended up buying our own coffee (as it was not peovided) and pastry from the same cafeteria where the brunch was serve. Lastly, our package included entry to the Spanish Town and return to the meeting point. Because we were the only people in our group going to the Spanish Town, we were left there, whilst the rest of the group continued and we had to make our way back at our own cost. This experience was less than enjoyable and I would appreciate a full refund.

Beginners Guide!

Tracy_B, May 2019
This tour was in 3 parts. First an hour or so walking tour of the Gotic quarter which was fascinating and our guide pointed out many things that you would not otherwise notice. Next we got on a waiting comfortable bus and had a leisurely guided drive around the iexiample area leading down to the waterfront and still seeing so many points of interest. Thirdly up Montjuic for the cool cable car ride and tour of the fortress. We had a small break here as well. The views from up there are superb! At this point, you can go back to the starting point or get off at the bottom of Montjuic leaving the tour at the Spanish village. I really loved walking around inside seeing the different building styles and cultures from all around Spain. Carolyn was a friendly, knowledgeable and interesting guide - perfect for this tour! Would definitely recommend if you are short on time in Barcelona or have just arrived and want to get acquainted with the area.

Interesting to check it out

If you have limited time and want to get the most of it, this tour is ok. But it would have been better if we were allowed to go down from the bus and take pictures at the Olympic Village. Visit to Gothic Quarter is a must. Tour guide did not do her job well.

The ride to the beach and our guide's pointing out the various architectures was cool. The Cable car ride and the view from there was very nice and the Olympic village was worth seeing. Then went to the Spanish Village which was basically like Epcot with all imitation facades. Then went to the Gothic Village which we had already seen in our travels. Seemed like at that point they were just trying to fill up the 4 hours.

The trip was wonderful and was done at a very enjoyable pace! I did not feel rushed. There is a significant amount of walking but the guide took that into account with us older particpants.

Took this tour at the end of a cruise as a general city tour to get oriented and discover Barcelona. It was just what we wanted. Travelling with spouse and 2 friends, we found it informative, enjoyable and just right! Our guide was Marta who was instantly engaging, informative obviously knew and loved Barcelona. The cable car ride was spectacular! During the walking tour of the Gothic Quarter, Marta negotiated our way through crowed, busy areas. There was a fair/festival going on in front of the old cathedral, so Marta took the time to stop and explain certain things that were going on, e.g. a local band playing traditional Catalan music and spontaneous dancing by locals. Marta was very knowledgeable and answered questions very directly and succinctly. She moved things along. I commend her especially being able to lead the tour in the Gothic Quarter with the crowds, but making sure that we were/felt safe. We were in Barcelona the weekend of Oct 21-23 when there were lots of crowds demonstrating on behave of the Catalonian cause. I highly recommend this tour!

This tour was awesome. The guide was lovely, very knowledgeable and keep our interest with great stories about the visited sights. We did the whole city tour in a luxury coach bus that was not crowded, so almost everybody had a place near the window to admire the city while the guide described the places. The coach bus left us on top of the Montjuic mountain where we admired the Castle the castle inside visit is not included and then we took the Montjuïc Cable Car Telefèric de Montjuic all the way down while admiring Barcelona from the gondola. Amazing view! Took the coach bus and we stopped and visited the Olympic Stadium and surroundings. Back in the coach bus and we stopped at the Spanish Village Poble Espanyol to discover the architecture and crafts typical of the various regions of Spain. Inside we stopped at a gift boutique store where we tasted sangria, cava wine, nougat, fresh bread with different types of olive oils. The shop is packed with gifts at very good prices, so it is a good place to buy gifts for home and friends. The Spanish Village is full with gift shops and restaurants and we got to spend more than 1 hour to enjoy the Spanish Village. Then we returned to central Barcelona for a walk tour around the 15th-century Barcelona Cathedral and visited the Gothic Quarter and ending the tour in Las Ramblas. Had an amazing time!!!
