I am so happy that I chose this experience even though I am not a wine person. The wine’s and pairings were delicious! Cornelius gave an amazing history and made things easy to understand and fun! In addition, the store has some great products for souvenirs and for yourself too.

A very knowledgeable guide explained Vienna’s top quality wines and viticulture in an ancient cellar. Our guide offered generous samples of 3 different wines and a small dish of bread and charcuterie. There were very helpful visual references and the whole experience was well explained to a newcomer.

The wine tasting at Haas and Haas shop in Vienna was excellent. Cornelius our tasting guide was very good. The group was 11 people and lasted about 1 hour. The visit started by Cornelius taking the group down to the cellars under the shop for a look around and gave us a short history. The tasting was at a long table in part of the cellar. The cellars were empty apart from the wine tasting table. We tasted 3 Austrian wines, two whites and a red. All were very good and different. We were also given a small platter of meat, cheese, bread and dip to try with the wines. We have been on several wine tastings around Europe and the amount of wine given was about right for a good tasting.
The group had first timers and more experienced wine tasters and Cornelius made sure all were included. He talked about the wines and the history of Austrian wine making and the grapes and what he saw in each wine so lots of information. The only downside was 3 Americans talking loudly all the time to each other while Cornelius was explaining things to the group. This was a good well-paced introduction to Austrian wines. Cornelius was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made this a very good experience. If you want to try Austrian wines with a good guide then I would recommend you book this experience.

Great experience. In the ancient cellars with a very knowledgeable guide. Our group was small so we had personal service. Learned the history and specifics of Austrian wine making. Highly recommend this tour.

Great informational tour about Vienna wine and it's origins. Tried 3 bottles, wish we got a heavier pour or 2nd glass but otherwise delicious (FYI snack plate was beef salami which was very yummy)

Very informative both about the wine and the history of both the area and the history of the cellars that date back to the Roman era! Good wine too!

Nice historic wine tasting in super cool cellars!
The guide had a lot of knowledge and it was interesting taking part of both Viennese history and information about typical Austrian wines.

Rare chance to see one of Vienna’s wine cellars. Great wines, snacks, and history. Bernie gave a very informative tour. We learned about different regions of Austria as well. Well worth the price!

Friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff…delightful wines and wonderful location. It’s a true hidden gem.
Our group of strangers from around the world was so engaged in and by the experience that we continued the day as a group!!!
Highly recommend!

The cellar is very interesting and full of history. Our guide knew his wines and gave us lots of information about those from the Vienna region. His pace was good and he kept our attention. The snack plate was nice and we enjoyed it. We did think the price for the tasting was a bit high for only three small wine pours. Also, we would have appreciated an option to order (and pay for) a glass of the wines we tasted.

It was an eventful and very informative experience. The guide provided ample information about the experience and the local winery domain. He was lovely and very relatable . Also the wines were absolutely amazing my favorite was the red wine CABERNET FRANC.

We had a great time! Cornelius was great and very informative. A great intro to Vienna wines, you don’t need any wine knowledge. Very informative and we learned a lot and had some great wine!

Bernie was an amazing tour guide in this journey of flavor!! I really loved how the cellar kept going, unfortunately we couldn’t see the deepest most ominous layer (wish we had been allowed). Overall vibes were really great, snacks were yummy wish the portions were bigger.

If you visiting Vienna this is the place !

Loved this cute little store. We even stayed after to enjoy a glass of wine. We learned so much during this tour and really enjoyed going underground. I think if you’re looking for something fun to take a break of sightseeing this is your tour. If you’re expecting a wine tour like one from California or Italy, this is not that long. But I can assure you it is equally delicious wine and very knowledgeable

A waste of money and time. The guy spoke too quickly, we didn’t understand anything and also vines was not so good.
Lynette_S, Oct 2023
Wine guide had a great knowledge of Vienna wine. The snacks went well with the wine. The underground tunnels were interesting.

Rebecca_H, Aug 2023
Very knowledgeable guide, lots of history given about the wines.
It was my first ever wine tasting and everything was explained well and in detail. Wines and snacks were delicious.
Mike_H, Jul 2023
The host was very knowledgeable about the wines, and the wines were very good. The story of the cellar was also very interesting.
Kristen_L, Apr 2023
To our pleasant surprise we got a "private" wine tour in that no other participants signed up for this day. Originally I thought the tour was just going to be downstairs in the cellar, but it is actually 3 floors down in an authentic 300-400 years old cellar that served as an underground "city" so to speak for shopowners back in the day. Our guide was so knowledgeable and gave some of the best "Austrian-certified" wines, including a couple that were more unique and renegade, according to our indicated preferences. This was truly one of the most pleasant surprises of our entire trip! Highly recommend 10/10
