Make your way to the prominent Vienna State Opera to begin your evening. Since its inaugural performance of Mozart’s Don Giovanni in 1869, the venue has since become one of the world’s top opera houses.
Settle into your selected seat and enjoy a performance from the Vienna Music Orchestra, 30 musicians from top Viennese orchestras devoted exclusively to the works of Mozart. Enjoy a rich sampling of the great composer’s symphonies, instrumental concertos and arias and duets from his operas.

1. Exciting, but much confusion prior to finding one' s seat. Quite a bit of disruption in the allocation and reallocation of seats to some of the audience.
2. Chaotic initially, but great once settled.
3. Sound needs to be amplifier.

All of the ushers and musicians are in period costumes, setting the mood for a total sense of traveling back in time to another era. Loved the conductor who overflowed with personality and charm. The female operatic star had a beautiful voice, and the male operatic star really connected with the audience. The conductor included the audience in the grand finale. A memorable time was had by all.

The building is out of this world, so beautiful. The orchestra, conductor, and soprano are also excellent. I had paid for B seats, which I thought would be good seats. However, it still had quite a restrictive view. The concert is conceived for a very popular taste. Parts of symphonies, not a whole ones.

The orchestra and the music were amazing. Definitely worth 5 stars but what let it down for us were our seats. Right up in the Gods with very little view of the orchestra so after the interval I stood at the back in the middle of the theatre and that way I could see almost all the orchestra. But our seats were a very big disappointment. But musically it was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend attending a concert there. Such a beautiful setting

Really enjoyed this concert and the conductor was very humorous and really enjoyed his art. He got the audience to participate in clapping and got some laughs too. The orchestra team were all dressed in Mozart outfit and played very beautifully.

The concert location was NOT the state opera house...rather a less grand location several blocks away from the opera house. Also ...I was expecting a representation of a complete Mozart opera...not snippets of several of his works. The orchestra and male opera singer were good...the soprano ....not so much. Also the staff there was rather rude...but I found this to be the case throughout my visit in Vienna

My only warning is that our tickets were in the first row seats 1 and 2 all the way on the right. Our only sight was peoples backs on stage. They were such poor seats, they should not have been sold as a higher priced ticket. In fact, they should not have been sold at all.
It turned out that there were 2 seats much further back, which we took and therefore enjoyed the concert very much.

Being in the Vienna State Opera is a memorable experience. Mozart is always delightful but overalls this was a kitschy, touristy concerns. Not for regular sophisticated concert goers. The consumes made it even more kitschy. And the prices wer too high for what the concert offer re.

Excellent experience. The orchestra was excellent with a very animated director. Sometimes the music was accompanied by one or more singers and for a while, there was a choir as well. Overall, excellently done. A couple of caveats. First, pick up your tickets an hour before. If you wait until 15 minutes before, as intimated on the paperwork, you will be in a horrible, not particularly well organized, line. Second, when booking tickets take care not to sit in the first 5 rows unless it will be in the very center. We were first row, but far left, so we really couldn't see anything that was happening on the right side.

I think that online description of Electronic Vouchers failed to explain that these vouchers have to be presented in the ticket office across the road from Opera House, so that you get SEAT NUMBERS.
We discovered it just by chance. Seat numbers are important - we were presented with available choices and selected the best available at the time ( morning of the concert day).

A thoroughly enjoyable concert combining a degree of formality but with a good connection between the audience and performers, concluding with less formal encores of traditional favourites and with audience joining in. A memorable evening.
