We were very lucky to do this tour with Elizabeth, a very knowledgeable and lovely tour guide. The tour consists of walking down the Naschmarkt. If you don't know what this is, it is the gourmet market centre for Vienna. Lots of varieties of food from all over the world and all of it available for purchase. Under Elizabeth's guidance, she took us down the market whilst describing the market's history and characteristics. We were very lucky to sample products from several of the vendors. A highlight was a vendor who sold roasted nuts and dried fruit. Unbelievably good and so many things that we don't get back home. So in conclusion, if you are into food this tour is for you, I am sure you will find something you have not had before. Ask for Elizabeth if you can, she is truly the best!

The tour guide does not communicate prior to the tour on the exact location or who to look for. No contact from guide which is disappointing

A great tour - a definite must do!

Enjoyable afternoon

The weather was horrendous, cold and heavy rain. We were the only two people on the tour. Our guide Monika was excellent and very knowledgable. We worked our way through the market stopping at various stalls to taste their products but we got very cold. Monika stopped at a lovely hot chocolate parlour and bought us a drink it went down very well! Felt we could have sampled some more local Viennese fayre but nonetheless an enjoyable afternoon.

We had no idea that the Naschmarkt would be so big. Or so delicious! All the fresh foods, the spices, the desserts ~ we dreamed of staying in Vienna for a month just so we could shop at the Naschmarkt. We were lucky that our great tour guide, Isabel, is a true foodie and a gracious guide. We thoroughly enjoyed spending our morning with her as she led us to many tasty stops in the markt. If you’re a foodie, take this tour and ask for Isabel.

Besser kann man den Naschmarkt, seine Umgebung und Geschichte nicht kennenlernen. Die 3 Stunden sind wie im Flug vergangen und für Erwachsene und auch für Kinder ist die kurzweilige Tour bestens geeignet. Vielen Dank an Heli für die absolut grandiose Führung, es war perfekt organisiert!
