My husband and I were super clumsy and the instructor was so kind to us. It was a wonderful beginner class.

Nice studio. Needed to scout around a bit to find it. Good thing having Google Map.
Was a group lesson having to start dancing the Vienna Walz starting with the right foot forward!! Not used to that starting with the left foot in the US dance studios. But we got used to the rather quickly.

Excellent instruction, suitable for beginners and those with little ballroom dance experience. Very friendly teacher, fluent in English and beautiful venue.
Sue_M, Aug 2025
A really excellent experience. The lovely dance teacher took us novices through the basic steps and by the end we were all waltzing to the Blue Danube music of Strauss. There were 4 couples, I think it is a maximum of 5, so really personal.

It was great learning how to Waltz while in Vienna. The 50 minutes flew by. Aga made it seem very simple.
Amanda_M, Jun 2025
Easy to find as had directions and photo via link from email. The teacher was excellent she broke the dance down into easy to learn steps and had the whole class (all ages and abilities) dancing the Viennese waltz by the end. A great way to spend an afternoon in Vienna for a fantastic price. Highly recommend.

Aga was an amazing teacher. I loved the experience but my 2 left feet left my wife bruised …think we need another lesson, can we come back please?
Greta_E, Apr 2025
Aga was an amazing waltz instructor. She was kind, knowledgeable, and helpful.
We went from knowing nothing about waltzing to having a basic understanding of Viennese waltz within an hour.
I’d be happy to take another class with Aga the next time I’m in Vienna to further develop our skill.

If this studio was closer, we'd be pros by now. Well, probably not, but still a fantastic teacher who explained it well for two fresh beginners. Great fun. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

Has to be done such fun and Aga was really helpful and was very attentive to everyone. No age restrictions which is great

We are an older couple that had dressed up very nicely for my birthday to do a dance - and the street the experience is on was packed full of tourists and could not be driven down. So we were about 5 min late and the door was locked. We called the number on the door, but the person could not contact Aga. Aga did text us back but refused to open the door. We could not rebook as my wife and I flew all the way from the USA and the next course was days our. We politely asked for a refund and we were refused. Aga refused to let us complain to her manager of give us her actual name. Therefore, this heartless woman ruined my birthday. While I understand that it is might would be nice to not interrupt the class, she could have easily opened the door in the time it took to text us rather than leave a couple in the cold and then treat them rudely.

Dear Harry,
I am truly sorry to hear about your experience and I understand how this situation could have affected your trip to Vienna. We value all our customers and your feedback is extremely important to us.
Our Waltz Workshop is more than just a dance lesson. It's a carefully curated experience where we aim to take our students on a journey into the world of Waltz. To ensure this, we maintain a strict schedule and a serene, undisturbed environment for all participants.
As stated in our product description on Viator, we request all participants to arrive 15 minutes early. We extended our waiting period until 15:05, but unfortunately, we did not receive any communication from you until 15:09. Once the workshop begins, we avoid interruptions to maintain the flow and the high standard of service we promise our participants.
I understand that this policy may have caused inconvenience in your case, and for that, I sincerely apologize. We offered a reschedule or a private lesson as alternatives, but I understand that these options may not have suited your travel plans.
Please know that our intention was never to cause any distress. We are taking your feedback into account and will strive to improve our communication in the future.
Should you return to Vienna, I would be more than happy to welcome you to our Waltz Workshop and provide you with the experience you were looking forward to.
Best regards,
Aga

An absolute must do for traveling to Vienna. The master instructor Aga was so skilled and fun. What an experience that could never be duplicated.
Paul_F, Dec 2024
From non-dancers to dancing around the floor in 60minutes. It felt amazing and we will now take lessons at home in the UK to learn more and more ☺️
Kimberley_A, Dec 2024
This was our favourite part of visiting Vienna! Aga was a lovely, inclusive teacher who really shared her passion for dance, and explained things very clearly - she told us about some of the traditions of the balls in Vienna, which was lovely and she's really made us want to continue learning this beautiful Waltz!
Karen_L, Dec 2024
I have to say, the teacher was amazing! From the moment we stepped in, she created such a fun and relaxed atmosphere. She broke everything down step-by-step, making it super easy to follow, even for beginners like me. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and you could tell she really loves this. She was patient, encouraging, and offered great tips to help us improve. I left the class feeling confident and ready to hit the dance floor! If you're thinking about taking a dance class, I highly recommend checking this one out!

Went to the learn the basics after ever dancing before, our teacher was lovely and informative.
Held in a beautiful building dance room felt very authentic, we had a lot of fun
Jonathan_H, Feb 2017
A unique life lesson. For someone with two left feet like me the instructor was both patient and fun. Just 3 couples in our class. Great prep if you're going to a ball. Wonderful intimacy with your partner. Boosted my confidence.
Todd B, Jan 2017
Philip was awesome. Patient and engaging - helped us look like professionals at the Ball on 12/31
Julie_M, Dec 2016
Philip was our instructor and was very patient and fun. When we arrived we were offered to buy a glass of wine or champange before the start of the lesson. Then lesson lasted about an hour and went by in a blink because we had so much fun. My husband and I enjoyed this way more than we thought we would.
Elizabeth_G, Nov 2016
Philip was a very patient teacher. Great experience, would recommend to everyone!
Sanjay S, Aug 2016
Very enjoyable, albeit a bit too brief. Wasn't quite an hour's tuition. A lot of laughter
Alex K, Aug 2016
5 stars is simply not enough!
My girlfriend and I booked onto this activity as a group session but, when we arrived, we were told that nobody else had booked into our class and so, at no extra cost, we were upgraded to a private class. Our teacher, Aga, was professional, approachable and fabulous at making both of us feel at ease and excited about learning the Austrian mainstay of the Waltz. As well as the dance tuition, which was second to none, she also informed us as to the cultural impacts of the waltz in the Austrian lifestyle which only added and enhanced the experience further.
An hour absolutely flew by and we only wish we would've had longer to dance the afternoon away...an activity that we would so, so highly recommend...a must to get the full Viennese experience.
Maryna_K, Jul 2016
Fantastic experience, can definitely recommend it. Both me and my partner enjoyed the class very much.
Richard_F, May 2016
Excellent fun!
Our instructor was clearly used to teaching at many different levels.
He also spoke really good English.
He started with basic box step and then progressed according to how well we got on.
Having covered the basic Viennese waltz steps, we were shown schunkelling which is a very useful simple step to use for changing direction or just catching your breath or timing. Then a few open moves which are shared with other dances.
Elizabeth M, Feb 2016
Excellent experience. The dance tutor spoke excellent English and was very patient with my two left feet. An experience I would repeat.
Alice_H, Feb 2025
Incontournable ! On ne voit pas l’heure passer et on repart en sachant danser la valse ! Nous nous sommes amusés et la professeure était très gentille 😊 Le cours en anglais est accessible à tous.
