Our guide Giovanni was great! We spent about 30 min outside learning about exterior of the Basilica until we were allowed to enter for our 90-min tour. Loved that we could actually sit and look and learn about the church and the mosaics with very few people and no ropes around. The lighting was magical, and Giovanna was very informative. I love the Basilica and have visited Venice twice before, and I still learned things. The up-close, unhurried view and explanation of the Pala d’Oro was great, and the crypt was a special experience. If you dream of up close and personal time with the Basilica, book this tour. It also engaged my 17-year-old daughter.
The experience was very cool-all lit up with candles and special lighting in the dark. Also getting a tour of the crypts was amazing. However it seemed very expensive for a 1.5-2 hour experience. ($750 for 4 people)
The evening tour is beautiful and inspirational and feels intimate. Highly recommend for both the history and the architecture and art.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. My only complaint is that she did not have a microphone nor did we have ear buds. We had a couple of older friends with us who found it difficult to here her.

Im sorry to say we found this tour a bit boring, it was an audio tour and our guide was very monotone. The inside of the Basilica was beautiful inside, but I wish we had just wandered around ourselves

Gabriella, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! She was so knowledgeable and friendly - her passion for the subject was evident and it made the entire experience enjoyable. The only downside was that the headset provided by the tour company was full of static, making it difficult for us to hear her. Luckily, we were a small group so we all decided to ditch the head sets and Gabriella just projected her a voice so we could all hear. Thank you Gabriella for sharing your city's rich history with us!

It was an amazing experience visiting the church on an evening tour with lights! Our elderly guide, forget her name, was extremely knowledgeable and made it a memorable experience! We had a great time!

Gabriella was an excellent guide well informed and friendly. We loved the experience of sitting in the dark inside the Basilica as they slowly put the lighting on. This was an excellent small group tour with just a few other small groups with you in the building at the same time.
